Serving a Paralyzed Wife

Serving a Paralyzed Wife
113. It All Starts with Pain

"It has to do with Vienna. Weni already knew that before this Vienna had conspired with Miss Eliza to eliminate Madam. Realizing that, Weni would have been able to guess what happened to her sister. Vienna not only made mistakes, it betrayed the trust of its master" Julian said. Then he continued. "His actions were also driven by the complicated situation of the family. Her father just died after surgery a few weeks ago."

Hearing Julian's explanation, Narendra was only able to waste his breath. Previously he did not think Weni would go this far. Not that Narendra was sorry, he did not regret punishing Vienna at all, for it was the servant who betrayed him first. Narendra hates traitors, anyone would.

"Give him a proper funeral" broke up Narendra. Weni was not involved, however, until there was no reason for Narendra to ignore her.

"Good, Sir."

Narendra closes the call. He paused for a moment, then turned around to go back to Glacia's room. However, his steps stopped when he saw his wife was behind him.

The woman was sitting in a wheelchair, in the middle of a quiet hallway with eyes staring at Narendra.

"Who else died?" ask Glacia.

"Glacy, why are you here? Who helped you get down?" Narendra approached Glacia.

"Naren, I'm asking you, '" said Glacia tired. Narendra too often diverts the conversation whenever he is reluctant to discuss something.

Narendra was silent, he stood in front of Glacia, returning his gaze which always made Narendra give up.

"Weni."

This time it was Glacia. His forehead was wrinkled, either feeling strange or surprised. "How come? Is he sick?"

Unfortunately, Glacia had never found a single personal servant in the hospital. He thought because maybe Narendra didn't give the order. But, Glacia remembered that time, Weni could not accompany her because she was not feeling well.

Instead of answering Glacia's question, Narendra turned to the back of his wheelchair, then pushed Glacia around. "Let's go back to the room. You have to rest a lot."

"I've had enough rest, Naren. Tell me, how could Weni die? Then Vienna?"

"Glacy, please don't ask me to tell you everything. I don't want you to look at me any worse."

Narendra's sentence just now was enough to make Glacia understand, that all these events are still related to the man. Glacia did not demand more, nor did he intend to make Narendra uncomfortable with the questions he presented. Glacia believes everything Narendra does has a reason.

He will be silenced this time, for the good of their relationship.

"They ...?"

"Right, they're partners, ma'am." Julian replied firmly.

Glacia was silent for a moment. It is so hard to trust others. The human heart is not perfect, it can change at any time. Either it's bad to be good, or good to be bad.

Exhaling, Glacia nodded in understanding. "Well, thank you for answering my question. I can't ask Narendra, he feels uncomfortable because I'm too curious."

"Together, Madam. Regardless of everything you do behind the Madam's back, trust me all because of you. You're the reason he punishes these bad guys. You love the madam so much." Julian felt he needed to affirm, that Narendra's feelings were not something that could be considered playful. The man can go crazy when it comes to matters of the heart. The proof, Narendra who hates betrayal, is able to forgive Glacia who repeatedly betrayed him.

Glacia smiled slightly. "alright. Please keep our conversation a secret from Narendra."

He hung up. Glacia was pensive, before lying on the patient's bed. His head turned tilted towards the window, staring calmly at the scene out there.

Narendra was gone a while ago. That opportunity Glacia used to find out. Grateful Julian would answer all his curiosity.

"It all starts with pain. The evil deeds of humans are actually born from the problems they experience, to cause endless revenge, which makes people continue to seek satisfaction."

"Naren, maybe you're not satisfied if you don't punish those who wronged you." Glacia closed her eyes as she whispered so. "For Weni, I'm sorry, because you have to be affected by my husband's actions."

Weni decided to end her life because her father and twin sister left. Glacia could not blame Narendra for his sentence on Vienna, so the woman had to leave a sense of loss in the heart of her family.

Nor should he be pleased with them both. Both have their own reasons. Vienna worked with Lizy because he needed medical expenses, Weni committed suicide because she felt she could not live without the people closest to her.

Everything that happens to them starts with their own decisions.

"May you go in peace" murmured Glacia.

He fell asleep, and I don't know since when the hug came. Someone kissed his forehead and lips long. That must be Narendra. Unknowingly, his lips turned to welcome the warmth.

"Sleep well, My Sunshine," whispered the man, with his friendly and tender voice.

Narendra, you've done everything for me. Now, you should also wait for me until it is completely healed.

I promise, when that comes, I will repay all your feelings more perfectly.
