Serving a Paralyzed Wife
119. Narendra's Strange Attitude

Edward Mou sat next to Glacia. He rested his two elbows on his knees, and his fingers were interlocked. Glacia looked at the man. They both fell silent. This meeting was really unexpected Glacia before. It's been a long time since he met Gallen's father. Edward Mou still looked dashing, just as the last Glacia remembered.

Before long Sister Lulu came to bring a bottle of mineral water to Glacia. But the woman's footsteps stopped a few meters from there, as Glacia beckoned her not to approach first.

"What do you want to say?" Glacia asked Edward.

The man looked back at Glacia. Actually Glacia was worried. However, Edward was not someone he could categorize as good, just like Gallen had hurt him.

Edward never spoke, but his hand reached into something in his pocket, then handed it to Glacia.

Glacia frowned at the outstretched object in front of her. He looked at Edward with questioning eyes.

"From Gallen's. I hope you will read it. Gallen sincerely wrote this for you" Edward said.

Doubtful, Glacia took the envelope with the letter from Edward's hand, then opened the paper slip there. Glacia read in his heart, the handwriting was indeed he knew belonged to Gallen. He was amazed, why did Gallen have to write a letter for him?

"A few months ago, Gallen's leg was amputated" Edward said, surprising Glacia.

The woman looked quickly. "What's? Why?"

Edward snorted a bitter smile with a slightly lowered look. "Maybe it's karma, because he was guilty of your accident, and caused your leg to be paralyzed." He looked back at Glacia. "Glacy, Om is really sorry for all Gallen's mistakes, and so is Om. Om never been bad to you. We both used to demean you."

Glacia was fixated on hearing this apology she thought was too sudden. He looked at Edward unwillingly to blink. His voice was still shocked mixed in confusion.

"Om hope, after this there will be no more grudges between us. I want this to be done, after you forgive us." Edward continued.

"I have never had a grudge against anyone, including Om or Gallen," Glacia said softly. "Why ... Om suddenly ..." Glacia hung up her words.

"Did Om meet me here on purpose, for this?" continues asking.

Edward nodded. "I'm sorry if it makes you uncomfortable. Om doesn't know how to meet you in person. You know, Narendra always takes care of you for almost 24 hours. If he sees Om, he'll think nothing of it."

Glacia nodded in understanding. His expression still seemed doubtful. Clearly, how could someone so arrogant look down on you, suddenly appear apologetic.

"Om not forcing you to believe. The purpose of Om is to come here just to apologize. Then, Om goes. See you soon." Edward stood up, and then, without longing, he left Glacia.

Glacia was still at home pensive with her own thoughts. He looked down at the letter from Gallen, and his heart raged to find out what had happened to the man without him knowing.

"Mrs? Who was? That guy doesn't fuck around, does he? Are you okay?" Sister Lulu who saw Edward leave, immediately approached Glacia, and asked in succession.

Glacia was stunned for a moment in surprise. He shook his head, folded back Gallen's letter, and put it in an envelope.

"Nobody, just one acquaintance who happened to meet. Lulu ma'am bought a drink?" glacia asked, as well as diverting the conversation about Edward.

"Ah, yes. Here, Madam." Sister Lulu handed over the drinking bottle she had already unsealed to Glacia.

Glacia received it, then drank it up to a few gulps. His mind was still floating as he invited the nurse back to the room. I don't know, his feelings were made unclear by Edward's arrival just a moment ago.

Until nightfall, Glacia was watching TV when the door opened, bringing up Narendra who had just returned home. He looked at the man. Narendra opened his shoes before closing in on him, and stepped on the sofa, right next to Glacia.

Glacia smiled as Narendra hugged and kissed her temple in droves. His face looks tired, even his shirt is tangled with his arms rolled up to his elbows.

"Racid?" Glacia raised her hand, rubbing Narendra's hair which was now resting her head on Glacia's shoulder.

The man muttered softly with his eyes half closed. "Hem." Narendra then continued to speak. "What did you do while I was staying?"

Glacia was silent, but then she replied casually. "As usual, I practice walking with Sister Lulu. Oh yes, I was able to step without holding on earlier," he said happily.

Narendra opened his eyes slowly. For a moment the highlight seems complicated, but then disappears when he breathes out. "Good."

Narendra got up, he stood up without seeing Glacia. "I'm tired, I'm gonna take a shower. You call Ms. Lulu, ask her to prepare your dinner and take her to the room" she said, before passing to the bathroom.

Glacia flinch to notice Narendra's strange demeanor. Just his feelings, or tonight Narendra is more ignorant of him?

Glacia squeezed her thighs uncomfortably. Inevitably he was restless to find such an attitude Narendra.

"Naren! You want us to eat in the room? Then I'll have dinner for you!" Glacia exclaimed at the closed bathroom door.

There's no answer. Narendra didn't hear it, or did the man deliberately ignore it?
