"Excuse me.." Lucius said to one of the employees in the lobby of the academy.
"Yes? Can I help you?" ask the female officer. He wore a neat dark red uniform, with long cloth pants.
Lucius immediately gave up his identity in this academy. Put it right on that table.
Not long after, the smile on the employee's face immediately disappeared.
"Lu-Lucius Nightshade? Y-you're alive?" ask the woman to panic.
"That's right." Lucius replied briefly.
"Then wait a minute!" reply the woman while running as hard as she can.
To date, all is still within Lucius' estimation. And also in Carmilla's prediction. That everyone would be surprised to see him alive.
'Remember, you are stronger than ever. And if using the demonic magic I taught you, aah. Maybe you are as strong as that person.' Carmilla said in her mind as she glanced at one of the students in this academy.
The student was wearing a uniform with the letter B on his left chest. And from his gait, at least the student was in the third school year.
'Even so, I don't know if this world has completely forgotten the devil or not. To be safe, only use when pressed.' continued Carmilla.
Lucius nodded his head slowly, indicating that he understood his teacher's warning.
Meanwhile....
"Yes Professor. This is the man." said the woman, but now next to her was a figure no longer unfamiliar to Lucius.
"Professor Magnus, I have returned to this academy. I hope I can still continue my studies." Lucius said as he lowered his head slightly. Respect to the professor.
Professor Magnus looked at Lucius for a while.
He realized quite a lot of differences in Lucius.
First of all, was a considerable scar on his neck. Then as Magnus rolled up Lucius's sleeves, he saw many torn wounds and incisions almost all over his arms.
Lastly, when Magnus rolled up Lucius' trousers, he could see so many burn scars.
Sure oes. Those are all scars that Carmilla's training has caused. But Lucius had no intention of telling the truth.
"You must have had a lot of bad things there, right? I'm sorry I didn't realize Edward's treatment of you before. And I'm sorry, for not even being able to maintain E rank for you" Magnus said with teary eyes after seeing Lucius' condition.
Lucius himself was surprised at the attitude of his professor. Especially his last words.
"Wait, does that mean I can continue my education here?" lucius asked briefly.
"Yes, of course. And also.... I've been keeping this letter for you since last month." Magnus replied as he pulled out a worn letter from his pocket.
"What is this letter?" lucius asked in confusion. He did not hesitate to accept it, but still continued to flip through the letter out of curiosity.
With a faint smile, Professor Magnus replied.
"Your parents. They've been sending word since last month that the two of them, along with your sister, have managed to evacuate in time. Although they are currently in exile, their lives are safe."
'Tik!'
Tears are no longer able to hold her back. Even after going through that hell, it seems that Lucius has still not been able to eliminate this trait.
Or maybe.... This news was too good to hear for him.
"Dad, Mom, and Michelle, are they safe?" lucius asked with a gaze that continued to shed tears.
"That's right. Once conditions improve, it's rumored they'll move to this town."
Lucius' smile immediately widened after hearing all the news. Moreover, after reading the writing contained in the letter. Everything was written by his family.
Starting from the shape and style of writing, language style, to the seal that was always used by his father. Everything is really from them.
In other words, the three of them had completely survived.
"Thank God.... Everything was.... L'm.... I don't know what...."
But as Lucius was celebrating this good news, Professor Magnus immediately revealed what was on his mind.
"Therefore, Lucius. Can I ask you just one thing?"
"Then meet me after the lesson is over. I'll be waiting for you at the office. Ah, you're currently in class F, building two in the South. I hope you don't mind?" reply professor Magnus.
Rubbing his eyes, Lucius answered.
"It doesn't matter at all."
In his heart, Lucius thought. That he might have obtained far better teachers than all the professors in this academy.
Even so, he still wants to learn everything from various points of view. Be it Carmilla's point of view as a demon, or the academy's point of view.
...........
'Kreeek!'
Lucius opened the old wooden door that was quite dilapidated. Instead, he could see some faces that were no longer unfamiliar to him.
And for those who realize who just opened that door....
"Eh? Lucius?" said a male student with long brown hair. He was none other than Alexander Brown. A small nobleman in this City who was nicknamed Alex the Jack of all trades.
Not an expert in any field, but able to do many things by itself.
Just next to him, the male student with short grey body and hair also wondered.
"Don't you say you disappeared?!"
He was named Oliver Hayes, from the Hayes family who served many other nobles with their agile hunting techniques.
From a distance, there was also a cry that was no longer unfamiliar in Lucius' ears.
"You survived?! Goddamnit! All of them! Greet him!" shouted the other male student while smiling widely. He was wearing a uniform with a collar and wide open buttons. Show off his fairly muscular body.
The muscular student was none other than Max Thompson. His own family were only minor nobles, but were quite respected due to their strong physical abilities.
With his dark red hair combined with his burly body certainly gave off a strong aura of intimidation.
Lucius who was still standing at the door was immediately struck by the three male students. His body fell to the floor.
"All of you.... Didn't you guys always stay away from me before?" lucius replied with an unformed smile.
On the one hand, Lucius was delighted to be warmly welcomed by his former friends in class E. But on the other hand, they were also at the time when Lucius was in trouble just watching from the ledges.
Not enough to side with Edward to hate him, but also not enough to help him to be thanked.
"Aaah, about that. I'm sorry." reply Alex.
"You know what Edward's attitude is? If we, the lowly nobles are against him, maybe we will also get into a lot of trouble." Oliver replied.
"Well! Actually I want to smash Edward's fucking face out! But unfortunately I got hit by my father first when he said he would!" max shouted with a wide smile and crossed arms in front of his chest.
"Wait, is that something you can be proud of, Max?" lucius asked puzzled by this situation.
But whatever it is, Lucius is quite happy with all of this. In a small class and only contains 6 people including himself.
In the corner of the class, Lucius could see the nerd figure who always had the lowest attendance in class E before.
Emily Campbell's. A girl who loves books. Maybe if he wanted to open the hood that covered almost half of his head, his beauty would be better known to many people.
It's just that, for him who only loves books, the judgment of others is not at all necessary.
And lastly....
"Eh?! Why are you here?! Sophia?!"
The figure of the female student who was seeded to rise to level C, is now stuck in class F?
Sophia just fell silent while fixing her hair. Slowly, the look in his eyes turned to Lucius.
"I chose to go to class F myself." she replied briefly.
But Lucius knew very well, that that was not the real reason why a talented student like himself should fall into this F class.
A class, which only contains a collection of losers whose great chances will be excluded from the academy next year.
