The Demon Queen's Disciple

The Demon Queen's Disciple
Chapter 25 - Evaluation

During the day, before the noon break, it all begins.

'Dok! Doc!'

The sound of knocking on the door is quite loud can be heard from outside this class F room.

Mr. Anderson, who had been aware of the schedule today, immediately realized that they were likely the Student Council.

"Well, everybody. It seems like today's lesson is here. Because you know, the Student Council will immediately conduct an Evaluation for you" said the old man before resigning.

From behind the classroom door, there were two figures of the Student Council.

One of them had a large and tall body with his short brownish hair. The symbol of the letter B is clearly visible on his chest. It was none other than Ethan.

In both hands were two large wooden boxes. Keep some of the necessary equipment in this evaluation.

But the biggest problem was the person walking in front of him.

With long, unraveling silver hair, and an ice-cold aura, the girl walked over while looking at this entire F-class.

Frostbourne Luna.

"Why is he the one who evaluated this clear F?!" max was upset.

"Either.... Shouldn't they send lowly testers as well for this class?" oliver asked back in a whisper.

Lucius who had just seen the figure of Luna Frostbourne could feel her aura so intimidating.

'This is a genius student who has reached A grade in his third year?' lucius thought in his heart.

But unexpectedly by him....

'Lucius. Be careful. Her.... It is very dangerous for you right now.' Carmilla said in a very serious tone.

It wasn't every day that he heard Carmilla say something so seriously. In fact, Lucius could feel Carmilla's fear flowing into him.

"Eh? Why?" lucius asked in a whisper to Carmilla.

While Ethan and Luna set the table in front of the class for this evaluation, Carmilla replied.

'I've only encountered such a talent twice in my hundreds of years.'

'Deg! The deg!!'

Hearing the word 'gifted' from Carmilla's own mouth was already a miracle. Because to him, the word talent was not something that could be thrown around.

"Why do you know he has such a talent?" lucius asked while whispering in curiosity.

'Easy. The Mana core in his heart, the aura, the attitude, and moreover, look at his ring finger.

Immediately, Lucius noticed the ring finger on Luna's right hand.

"That's it, right?!"

'The magic ring, the human version.' Carmilla said.

On the ring finger of Luna's right hand, a small bluish ring is visible around her finger. Various magic formations and intricate inscriptions were engraved on that constantly rotating ring.

It was unmistakable, that it was a magic ring similar to what Carmilla had implanted in Lucius' heart.

Just as Carmilla said during her training in the cave, humans more often pair magic rings on the outside of their bodies.

Although it was not as effective and as powerful as Carmilla's magic ring, its effects were still extremely powerful.

If likened, just with the magic ring alone someone seemed to have an additional arm to help him in various things. Especially in the fight.

The reason Carmilla thinks Luna is so talented, is because Luna was able to put up a magic ring at the age of 17.

That was because the magic ring could only be paired by its user. Cannot be used by anyone else.

Even though Lucius was helped by Carmilla, it was still his own body that installed it.

The complexity of the magic ring formation even made Carmilla spend decades studying and refining it.

And what's more....

'For hundreds of years, there have only been two talents on par with him?!' lucius thought in surprise as he continued to pay attention to the figure of Luna Frostbourne in front of that class, who was still busy taking out some equipment from the box Ethan was carrying.

Not long after, Carmilla continued her words.

'The first, was a High Elf determined to fight the devil, Eryndoriel, and the second.... Is the Demon King himself.'

Lucius' eyes were wide open. Even without him noticing, his mouth had also opened wide as it was filled with disbelief.

'In-he was juxtaposed with the High Elf race, even with the Demon King?!'

Lucius absolutely could not believe that there were people so blessed by the heavens as Luna. Moreover, he was currently standing before him.

'Well, even though it could be said to be very unlucky for him. Being born as a human, of course. If he was born an Elf, maybe he could rule half the continent as an adult, Carmilla said before falling silent again.

Lucius could only be silent. Do you know if the news is luck? Or misfortune?

Putting that aside, Lucius began to notice his friends who were being called forward.

Max was asked to lift and swing the black metal bar several times. When she was done, Luna was seen nodding while directing her hand to the next testing equipment.

Until the last test....

"Take all your Mana out into that crystal. If fire appears, however small, you pass." said Luna in a fairly flat tone.

Max is seen pointing both hands at the crystal ball.

Slowly, Max exerted all of the Mana within his body to ignite the fire within the small crystal.

"Hhnggggghh!!!"

'Swush!'

A small flame appeared inside the crystal for a few seconds.

"Well.... Huh.... Huh.... Damn, magic is not my mainstay." complained Max with a body that had been exhausted after spending his Mana.

"Then why go to the magic academy?" luna was a little upset.

"My goddamn father forced me here." said Max, wiping the sweat off his forehead.

"Aaah, right? Whether it's good or bad news, you graduated with class F standards. Next."

For Max, it was indeed news that was either good or bad. But at least, he could still survive in this academy.

Next, Sophia was able to complete all the evaluations easily. It was even able to create a fire that filled the entire crystal ball for a whole minute, before Luna asked him to stop.

Oliver himself is just like Max. Passed thinly in Mana capacity testing. But it also barely passed in the physical test to swing the metal rod because the physique was not so strong.

Emily seems to have difficulty in physical testing, and managed to pass very thinly. But he managed to easily test the magic by creating a fire that was as big as a hand, or half of the crystal ball.

"Huwah, I didn't know Emily had such a strong Mana?" lucius was surprised to see it.

"Next."

This time it was Lucius' turn. They can easily complete a physical evaluation. As for the evaluation of the magic capacity itself....

"Yinghhhh!!!" lucius shouted trying hard to bring out as much Mana left in his body as possible.

'Swuusshh!'

Finally, a fire the size of his thumb appeared for half a minute before it finally extinguished due to running out of Mana.

"Well.... Huh.... Huh...."

Lucius was quite upset in his heart. Because all this happened because he drained his Mana in the morning.

'Damn, I will no longer drain my Mana in the morning. If there's anything like this again, or worse.... I can be expelled.' Lucius thought in his heart.

"pass. Although, I'm a little disappointed because this is all you're capable of. Are you the same person who defeated Damon from C class?" asked Luna with an ice-cold look.

"Sorry...."

"Well, it's up to you. Next."

The last one was Alexander Brown. A figure known as an all-rounder, but does not master any special abilities.

After seeing the ability of Sophia and Emily. Lucius thought that nothing else could surprise him.

Alex can complete physical testing with an average grade. Not great, but not bad either. But nevertheless....

"Eh?!" lucius shouted in surprise.

"I'm sorry, but can I use that one?" alex asked Luna while pointing at the larger crystal ball inside the box.

Luna was seen giving a cold, cynical look at Alex.

"You want to show off?"

"No. I just don't want to break it." Alex replied with a very friendly smile on her face.

Luna seems silent for a while, before finally obeying Alex's request and retrieving a larger crystal ball.

This time, it was twice the size used for this F class. More than that, it looks much heavier with many complex magic grooves around it.

"Originally you know, this is a magic crystal for Class C. There, there were already 2 disciples who were expelled for not being able to light a fire inside. If you choose this crystal ball and are unable to light it, you will also be expelled." Luna explained firmly.

Everyone in class F stood up because they felt it was an unfair rule.

Of course the magic levels of class F and C are very far adrift. If Alex is tested to C-class standards then....

The chances of failing are huge.

But Lucius was completely unprepared to see Alex's evaluation.

...'SWUOOOOOSSHH!!!'...

The magic circle is not only twice as big, but also has a much higher magic endurance....

Now it was filled with a great fire.

Alex is not only able to ignite a small fire in a C-class crystal ball. Yet it filled it with a lot of Mana left.

"I told you, didn't I? I just don't want to destroy the crystal ball for F class." Alex said with a smile.

Luna lowered her head, looking at Alex very sharply filled with suspicion as she asked.

"You.... Whoareyou? Why would someone as strong as you fall into class F?"
