The Demon Queen's Disciple

The Demon Queen's Disciple
Chapter 12 - Teacher

"Eh?! So something like that happened to you?!" alex asked in panic after hearing the story from Lucius.

"so. I must try hard to survive there." Lucius replied while tidying up his sleeves.

Everyone in this F class saw some of the scars that were on Lucius' body. However, it was not all because of the Goblin. Except for his own teacher.

"Lucius.... Too bad. Here's to you, my favorite book." Emily replied while giving me a little book. His right hand is so small and white, because it rarely moves outdoors. Especially moving.

It's just....

"Buahaha! Look at that, Lucius! Even Emily asked you to learn how to make dolls because you're so weak!" max shouted while laughing loudly.

Thas right. Because the book given by Emily, is a book on how to make a beautiful doll.

"Well.... Thank you, but I just accept your sympathies."

"You serious? But it's a good book." replied Emily with a face so cute. Instead of looking like a 16-year-old, Emily's face still looks like a 13-year-old.

Oliver interrupted their conversation on a different topic.

"Although so, Lucius. You don't have to worry anymore because Edward is in jail" he said casually.

"Eh?"

Of course Lucius was shocked at the news. The figure who always bullies himself, is currently in prison?

"Why? How come?" lucius asked in confusion.

Emily, with her innocent face still busy reading the book on how to fix the doll, pointed to the front. Her tiny index finger pointed towards the figure Sophia was sitting on.

"Well.... Don't talk about it anymore, Oliver. After all, it was Sophia's own choice." Alex replied as she shook her head.

Lucius could only stare at Sophia in silence. Perhaps, in her previous class, Sophia was the only one who actually dared to stand up to protect her.

Even against the figure of Edward Goldencrest, he was not afraid at all.

"Sophia, I...."

Before he could finish his words, the figure of an old man began to enter this class. He appears to be walking slightly bent and carrying several books in his right hand.

"Good day, my students. Let's continue the lesson." said the old man in a voice that was quite soft and broken.

"Come on, Mr. Anderson. It's still morning." replied Max with his casual attitude. He raised both his legs on the table while leaning against the chair with both arms.

"Aaaahs.... Was she? I thought it was late afternoon." replied the old man.

Lucius finally realized, that one of the intended facilities in this academy, also included teachers.

And in the lowest class, class F, of course. You will get an ordinary teacher.

"Although, he was a good teacher. So it's good enough for us at the bottom of this class." Alex whispered to Lucius.

"Is that so?"

Inwardly, of course Lucius was a little dissatisfied. He thought he could get at least the same education as he used to in E class.

But these? It was even worse than his shadow. Lucius doubted whether with such a teacher he could continue to grow stronger.

Even more so given Carmilla's last request....

'Well, don't you think we'd rather train in that cave than be taught by these senile grandparents?' carmilla said in Lucius' mind.

There's a point. Rather than wasting time in a class like this, it was better....

"Sir Anderson, the chalk is in your left hand." Alex replied kindly.

"Haha.... Also true. Why can I forget? Eeh, so now we will learn about.... What's?" the old teacher was confused.

Her hair has turned white. Likewise with his skin full of wrinkles. Not wrong again, this teacher has really far missed his prime.

"The Elemental Magic Book, page 57, section of the low-level water element magic formation" Sophia said quite firmly.

"Really.... Thank you, Sophia."

In Lucius' heart, he kept wondering. Does it really mean studying with these old grandfathers?

Just when Lucius had just doubted it....

"Water magic formation. Like magic formations in general, it is distinguished into 3 levels. It was low, medium, and high." said the old geezer while easily forming all three magic formations consecutively at the fingertips of his right hand.

From small bluish triangles to low-level water magic, to deep blue hexagons with intricate patterns for high-level water magic.

All of it formed in an instant at his fingertips. Making Lucius who noticed it immediately startled.

'Eeeh, those old grandfathers, are interesting too. Quite rarely do I see a human who can visualize a magic formation as fast as he can.' Carmilla said after seeing the phenomenon.

And what Carmilla said was not an exaggeration at all. Even Lucius, who had been studying hard under Carmilla's upbringing, still needed a catalyst for mid-level magic.

A catalyst in the form of chalk or crystal powder to draw the magic formation. Because if you don't use a catalyst, visualizing it alone will take a few minutes.

If it's in a safe place, it's not a problem. But what if in the middle of a fight? Of course drawing it directly is much faster.

While these senile grandparents....

"Water magic itself includes magic elements that are strongly influenced by the environment. For example, in a rather humid place like this class, it would be easy to use" said the old teacher named Anderson while shooting a burst of water beside the class.

The burst of water was not strong, but it became an important point in its class today.

"While in a place that is dry enough, it will be much more difficult" he continued while spitting fire magic in the same direction as before. Drying the surrounding environment from water particles.

"While it's hard to see, my water magic slows down a little in a dry place. Also slightly weakened." continued Anderson who is now only able to emit small bursts of water. In fact, his magic activation was also a little longer.

Lucius who saw all this immediately smiled. Realize how big this world is.

"Aaah, so is that it? The difference is really small, but in certain situations." Lucius whispered to himself. He began to feel he could learn many new things from these senile grandparents.

It's just....

During her education in this class, Carmilla was silent. Without a word coming out of it after that.

During his training in Goa, Carmilla did not teach any of these theories at all.

The focus of Carmilla's teachings at that time only made her strong physically and also magically. There's nothing else.

Whatever Carmilla will do to achieve those two goals. Including burning Lucius' body, or forcing him to be seriously injured.

The proof, Lucius was currently actually feeling the effects of the magic ring given by Carmilla after going through that hellish training.

Similarly, his highly trained body is capable of hand-to-hand combat when it runs out of Mana, or in situations that force him to fight without magic.

Butwhy?

Why never teach him something like this?

Putting that useless thought out of his head, Lucius refocused on his class. Absorb as much knowledge as Anderson could. Old teacher with a lot of experience.
