The Demon Queen's Disciple

The Demon Queen's Disciple
Chapter 39 - Lesson

In this magnificent library, Lucius was drowned in the middle of an endless sea of books.

On the various sides, what he could see was merely a towering shelf. With a book that fills it from the bottom up.

"That's unbelievable.... I didn't know there was a library this big." Lucius said to himself.

"Lucius. Come here." said Emily also in a soft voice.

With quick steps, Lucius immediately followed Emily's figure. A little reminiscent of his sister.

Not because of his similar face or attitude. But because of his own existence makes Lucius feel comfortable and want to protect him.

"It's.... What you're looking for." said Emily softly after retrieving the book from the top shelf using her magic.

The more Lucius saw Emily's magical abilities, the more he was amazed. A magic capable of controlling things as he pleased.

Or at least, that's what Lucius thought.

"Your magic is really useful in all situations?" lucius asked with a smile as he grabbed the book that was now flying slowly.

"You think so?" ask Emily.

"of course. Inside my head, there were many possible situations to utilize that magic."

"Waving the sword?"

'Deg! The deg!'

Lucius' heart stopped immediately after hearing Emily could give a precise answer.

If Lucius could learn the magic, he could easily control the sword without even standing. Eliminate opponents or protect people from a safe distance.

But....

"Why does everyone like fighting? L'm.... I don't understand." Emily replied before leaving Lucius after handing him the book.

From a distance, Lucius could see a look of disappointment on the girl's face. Even if it was just a little, he felt sorry for saying this to Emily.

But how else?

If there was a world without conflict, Lucius would choose it anytime and anywhere.

While reality....

'Sreeett!!!'

Unknowingly, Lucius clenched his left hand until his fingernails injured his own.

"Even my own family was almost killed by that unavoidable infighting. Therefore, it is better that I have the power to stop the dispute myself, right? Isn't that right, Carmilla?" lucius asked in a soft voice.

'Well, it would be better to be a great witch in the garden. Compared to being a gardener on the battlefield.'

Thas right.

It would be better to always have great strength to deal with situations that he cannot control.

Never used though.

...........

Several hours had passed in silence in this library. Lucius read the book by the magic hero Alora Skyweaver alone in this corner of the floor.

Occasionally, Lucius could see the figure of Emily standing in the distance. Taking the book with his magic then rearranging it in a better position.

Not infrequently Emily was seen reading the book she took for a while before putting it back.

Not a word came out of the girl's thin lips. Emily just kept working on tidying up this library, before finally controlling some brooms to clean the floor from dust.

Although there are other librarians who ask Emily to stop working, Emily continues.

'But Lucius, why did you learn such complicated magic?' ask Carmilla curiously.

"Complicated magic? Was there no space magic in your day?"

'Uugh, if there is then the devil has long ruled this world. What does it mean with dimensions? Theory of relativity? Space energy? Geometric Manipulation? What the fuck is all that?'

"Eeeh, I think Miss Carmilla is the perfect person. There also seems to be a weak side to the great Miss Carmilla." Lucius replied softly with a light laugh.

'Shut up! Even for me who has studied magic for hundreds of years, I have a hard time understanding all the concepts in this book! So you won't be able to understand it either! Surrender and return to training your Mana!'

Carmilla is a demon, as well as a very powerful witch in the past. Sure oes. Lucius also realized it.

But Carmilla herself lived several millennia in the past. In a time when magic was just a tool to express the power of its users.

For example, the stronger the user, the greater the fire created. No one cared about the complicated magic theories that could not even be activated before being burned to the ground by his opponent's fire magic.

That is why in that era, there has been no complex space magic found as in the time of Lucius today.

These include theories that support the workings of space magic itself.

As for Lucius who has lived for 16 years in this era, he has been quite familiar with all the concepts. At least the basic concept.

Even though his body was not talented, Lucius was quite confident in his academic ability. Well even though that ability isn't very useful in magic academies.

Because in the end, the academy would only give a rank where 75% of it was determined by the magic ability of the disciple.

"Carmilla. What if I told you top-tier witches in my day usually have simple space magic to store their various items?" lucius asked with a smile.

'uh? What does that mean?'

"Even if they don't seem to carry weapons, a magician could have 10 swords and spears in their space magic storage. And to take it, they can pull it anytime and anywhere."

Carmilla seemed frozen in silence. Can't believe that such a powerful magic can really exist.

'You're kidding, right?'

"No. I seriously. Well though, such a high-level magician there were only a few. Therefore, it was important for me to learn such a concept of magic from the very beginning."

After feeling annoyed at not understanding this new concept of magic, Carmilla began to feel calm and a little proud.

That maybe, the choice is not wrong. No. gabe. After all, Carmilla had no choice but to enter Lucius' body at that time.

And it's possible....

Lucius was truly able to awaken her someday.

Give him a body to walk once more in this world. The world that had been moving for several millennia since the last time Carmilla was still setting foot.

'Aaah, alright. It's up to you. But I really don't understand all those concepts, so I'm not going to study. Defeating an opponent with absolute strength and perfect technique was my fighting style. Not studying such a complicated theory.'

And as Lucius turned the page, Carmilla became even more convinced.

'Wh-what?! What the fuck with all those formulas and numbers? What symbol is that? Why is there such a line? Huh huh? I don't know human letters are that complicated?!'

What he saw, was a set of formulas behind the theory of space magic that Lucius had learned. It is filled with complex mathematical symbols.

Although....

"Eh? It's just a mathematical symbol, why is that?"

Lucius, who had always studied hard before his meeting with Carmilla, must have understood most of the complicated formula. Although it was necessary for him to learn more.

And from then on, Carmilla began to assume that Lucius might have talent.

But not where the former Demon Queen expected it to be.
