The Demon Queen's Disciple

The Demon Queen's Disciple
Chapter 18 - Warmth

'Ding! Jing!!'

The loud sound of the bell signifies that this class has ended.

After Anderson walked out of the classroom, all students in class F immediately discussed what they would do after class.

"Max, where are we today?" ask Alex while tidying up the book.

"Hm.... I want to eat grilled chicken."

"I've been thinking about it for a long time but, Max. You just like roasted chicken?" asked Oliver curiously.

"Chicken.... Burn.." said Emily with saliva that seemed to be dripping at any time.

"Can I come?" ask Sophia.

"of course! Hey, Lucius! How's yours?"

Lucius was still sitting quietly at his desk. Reread today's lesson in his notebook.

After a while, Lucius still remained silent without answering any questions from Max.

Until finally....

'Preak!'

A light blow struck Lucius' rear head. Bring him back to the reality of this class.

"Oi, aren't you coming?" ask Max again.

"Aaah, sure. I'll come along."

After tidying up this fairly empty and quiet class, the six of them finally left together. Heading to a Max favorite restaurant near this academy.

A small restaurant that only had 6 tables was run by a young man along with his mother.

"Welcome. Aah, student from Damacia. Welcome back." said the young man kindly.

Currently, the restaurant has no visitors. Lucius and his friends could choose to sit anywhere.

"How's your mother doing, Kieran?" max asked as he waved his hand.

"Mrs Miriam is healthy. Today, as usual?" asked the young man named Kieran with a friendly smile.

Max didn't reply. Just give me a thumb and a nod.

Meanwhile, the other five people were still busy determining their seats. Because in one table there are only 4 chairs, inevitably 2 people have to sit apart.

"No! I'll sit here!" sophia shouted in annoyance.

"Why?" ask Alex.

"Because the table's bigger, of course."

Lucius who saw the grab of the biggest table in this small restaurant finally took the initiative. He gave himself up to sit at another table.

"I'll sit here, you guys just continue the fight" Lucius said.

Shortly after that....

"Emmyl.... I don't like many.... So Emily will sit here." said the little girl who immediately sat in front of Lucius.

"Eh? That so?"

"That's it." replied Emily while nodding her head.

Actually, Lucius wanted to hurry home to start his training again. But somehow, at the time of the previous class, Carmilla said something strange.

'They're interesting students, Lucius. Try to keep you close to them.'

That's the word Carmilla said. So Lucius can have a good reason to relax a little in his life.

Like at the moment. Enjoy eating with his friends.

"Please enjoy" said Kieran while putting large dishes one by one in front of his visitors.

On top of the plate, there is one whole chicken that is burned with sauce and soy sauce. The so seductive aroma made Lucius' mouth immediately filled with saliva.

'Glek!'

'Bu-doesn't this look really good?!' lucius thought in his heart.

But as his gaze focused on the grilled chicken accompanied by the vegetable and tomato slices, something much more unexpected immediately distracted him.

"Eh?"

In front of him, the non-talking nerd figure, seemed to have a very contrasting appearance with his attitude.

The dim light from the lanterns in this small restaurant could not hide how white and open Emily's face.

Coupled with long dark wavy purplish hair that was only seen after he opened his hood, further strengthening his beautiful face.

Slowly....

Emily is seen cutting some of the grilled chicken with the help of a knife and fork. Before finally stabbing the piece of meat with a knife and aiming it slowly at his mouth.

His small, pink lips were a major concern for Lucius.

But just before Emily put the chicken in her mouth....

"Lucius? Is there... the wrong thing on my face?" ask Emily with the same attitude as usual.

"Eh?! Ahhh! N-nothing! Nothing is wrong!" lucius' reply panicked.

His heart was pounding so fast at this moment. It makes her worry that Emily can hear it.

"Is that so?" ask Emily again.

"That's it!" lucius replied with sweat that started pouring down his face in panic.

Without further questioning, Emily continued her meal as if nothing had ever happened.

'Calm yourself, Lucius! What the hell are you doing?! What if your heart beats too fast and she hears it?!' lucius thought inwardly as he placed his right hand on his chest.

But suddenly....

'eeeh.... I feel jealous said Carmilla with a light laugh.

"Huh?! What are you...."

Unknowingly, Lucius replied to Carmilla's words in his mind. Making the views of all his friends now focused on him.

"Came, Lucius. You okay?" ask Alex.

"Don't tell me you're subleegeghhhhhh!!!"

The water magic fired by Lucius could easily silence Max's mouth. Prevent him from saying something very dangerous.

"Lucius.... You.." asked Emily with her glaring purplish eyes.

'Glek!'

Lucius began to swallow his saliva. Prepare for anything that might come out of Emily's mouth.

However, he couldn't silence her in the same way he did to Max just now.

"Speak to who?" continued Emily.

"Eh?" asked Lucius in a panic.

Max, who had cleaned his face and clothes from Lucius' water, began to speak again.

"I asked, are you crazy? Who are you talking to, huh?!"

"The ghosts don't exist, do they?! Aren't you?!" sophia asked frantically as she pulled Oliver's slender body for cover.

"Tu-wait! I'm going to fall!"

'Braa!!'

Sophia and Oliver fell to the floor simultaneously. Makes Max laugh out loud looking at it.

"Buahaha! Look it! Even a genius magician like Sophia was still afraid of ghosts!"

"Friends, hurry up and eat before it gets cold" said Alex, who had finished the whole chicken in an instant. Even the plate looks clean, leaving only bones.

"Oliver.... Weak." said Emily after seeing the figure of the skinny young man fell just because Sophia pulled him.

A faint smile could be seen on Emily's face as she continued to slice the grilled chicken.

Lucius who did not understand how to respond to this situation because he had never had close friends, could only be silent.

'Thank you to me. With this, you are one step closer to all of them, Carmilla said in Lucius' mind.

At that moment, Lucius realized it.

All of this was deliberately done by Carmilla to strengthen Lucius' social relations with this class. I don't know what the purpose is but....

Lucius felt himself finally able to feel the comfortable and warm life of the academy.

Least....

For the time being....
