The Demon Queen's Disciple

The Demon Queen's Disciple
Chapter 89 - The Match

Lucius continued to train at the Thompson family residence for a week. While the training itself can also be said to be very extreme for ordinary people.

But for that brat who had gone through various hells in this one year?

"Crazy. I would die if trained like that." said one Mercenary warrior who saw Lucius running around the training ground.

But calling it running is a little less precise. In addition to wearing a very thick iron armor, both his legs and hands and on his stomach were also a chain tied to an iron ball behind him.

Each iron ball itself weighed at least 50kg. Making each step of his foot very heavy because it dragged more than 250kg of weight behind him. Coupled with iron armor that weighs at least 75kg.

And Lucius had been running for two more hours in this condition.

"Lucius, are you sure you don't need a break?" ask Adrian worried. He watched Lucius' practice while reading the various files he carried.

Seeing the attitude of Lucius it made Adrian himself quite goosebumps.

"No, thanks. I can still run." Lucius replied from behind his thick iron helmet. His voice sounded a little buzzing through the small crack in his helmet.

With that reply, Lucius again ran around this field.

"He's that.... Really your classmate at the magic academy? Didn't you say she's a great witch? Then what the fuck is this?" adrian asked a red-haired young man next to him who had been exhausted.

That young man was none other than Max. He had just tried Lucius' training menu to prove his worth. But just half an hour running Lucius' way, he had run out of stamina.

"Really.... That's why I'm also confused." Max replied with fatigue.

Adrian now sees Lucius as no longer a gifted man. Rather see him as someone endowed by all the stars in the sky itself.

'The genius magician, even reportedly he could use space magic at such a young age. Even so, his physical abilities surpass even my own son who has been training ever since he was able to run. Really am.... The world is really unfair, right?' thought Adrian in his heart while giving a bitter smile.

............

One week has passed.

Not much was learned by Lucius during his training at the Thompson residence. Just the basics of how Mercenaries work, their pay, and also how they fight.

The other was Lucius who took advantage of the privacy of the Church and the training tools of the army barracks.

The upshot....

Although Lucius did not increase the slightest of his Mana capacity to maintain his identity, but his physical abilities had actually increased drastically.

At first Lucius had trouble pulling 5 iron balls. But just last night, he no longer had trouble pulling 12 iron balls while running for 4 hours.

And now....

"Damn it, my muscles are all stiff. It hurts so much." Lucius lamented as he walked towards that battle arena.

"Lucius, this." said Alex who was walking beside him. Accompanying Lucius stepped into that battle Arena.

Alex is seen handing over three new swords. Two of those swords were the new Mithril swords that Lucius should have handed over long ago.

"Thank you. Now I can dispose of this blunt sword." replied Lucius who immediately stored the two swords using his space magic.

The last sword....

"You sure you're gonna fight him with a weapon like this?" ask Alex to worry.

"Despite that, Ethan is a representative of the Student Council. His physical strength and earth magic were really on a different level when compared to the other students." continued Alex in a slightly louder voice.

But Lucius was silent. Taking out the sword with that pitch-black blunt blade. No. gabe....

Calling it blunt seems too complimenting. Because this sword really resembled a raw metal that had not been forged at all.

The shape of the blade itself was only a rectangle with a thick sword eye. Makes it impossible to slice anything. Especially opponent.

"It's much better. I don't want to kill anyone, you know?" lucius replied with a friendly smile.

"Lucius you...."

"I'll go first."

But this time it's quite different. Not many people yelled at him and insulted him. But that doesn't mean they support it.

All the students shouted Ethan's name out loud. Expect a landslide victory from him.

"Lucius. I won't hold back against you." said Ethan firmly. His body also looked much larger compared to Lucius' body.

Higher, bigger, and stronger.

But reality....

Lucius was seen smiling faintly while replying.

"Just calm down, Ethan. I'll give you ease. Look, I'll just use this blunt iron sword." Lucius replied.

"You will regret your choice, Lucius."

"I told you. Defeating someone like yourself is not necessary to use magic."

Ethan tries hard to hold back his anger. All of the provocations Lucius made were truly effective.

But after Ethan saw the figure of Luna supporting him from a distance, he could not embarrass the Student Council any further.

Not long ago....

Aba-aba sounded so loud. It indicates that the fight has begun.

Without a shred of hesitation and wasted time, Ethan immediately uses his magic.

'Swuuusshhh!!!'

Seeing the Mana flow change in Ethan's hands becoming brownish, Lucius was not only aware of what elements his opponent would use.

"Rock bullet's. You sure you want to treat me like a kid, Ethan?" lucius asked in a mocking tone.

'What?! Even my magic circle is not yet fully formed but he already knows?!' ethan cried out in surprise in his heart.

'Blaaarr! Blaar!! Blaar!!!'

Dozens of bullets from the hard rock shot towards Lucius so quickly. It was very difficult to follow the direction of the stone's trajectory. But....

Its name is the stone trajectory of low magic, let alone at this close distance, of course.

Predictable.

'Klangg! Braaakk! Ohhhhai!!'

"You sure you're not playing games with me, Ethan?" lucius asked with a light laugh. His right hand seemed to slash through the entire stone bullet that shot towards him with ease.

"Then, then...."

"Whoah, Earth Surge huh? Pretty interesting." replied Lucius who immediately knew what magic Ethan was going to use.

Lucius seemed to be slowly walking to the side. And after 3 seconds had passed, a magic circle formed where Lucius had previously stood.

It gave rise to dozens of sharp and large thorns from underground and pierced into the air.

But it was Lucius who had evaded even before the magic was active....

'How did that guy do it? Isn't that.... As if I could see into the future?!' luna thought surprised. He even stood up from his seat.

Can't believe what he just saw.

Not a single spectator in this Arena knew how Lucius did it. Dodging without using magic, three seconds before the incident occurred.

Even Alora Skyweaver, the magician hero watching this match could not notice it.

Making him even more suspicious of Lucius' extremely abnormal abilities.
