"Carmilla.... I'm sorry." said Lucius with a regretful look.

Every time a life is taken, the life and power of the victim is absorbed and transformed into a valuable resource in Essence Bane. Slowly, the black crystal emitted a faint glow, reflecting the dark force that was restrained within it.

By grasping that Relic, the owner of Essence Bane was able to utilize the energy contained within. As a powerful fuel, Essence Bane can supply Mana for a variety of uses.
