The Demon Queen's Disciple

The Demon Queen's Disciple
Chapter 52 - Training

Lucius awoke long before sunrise. With the sky illuminated only by the moonlight, he left his room to complete Alex's request.

At the top of the tallest tower in the city of Arcanum, Lucius activated the Clairvoyance Eye in his left eye. Looking at all corners of the city with a much different perspective.

"Occredible.... I can see where everyone is, as well as the numbers." Lucius told himself.

As he increased his focus, Lucius could see even further. It was as if the trees that were hundreds of meters away were just a few meters in front of him.

"Can you see this far? Hey, Carmilla. Does Luna also have this kind of vision?" asked Lucius curiously.

'Where do I know. What is clear is that I saw some deformity in Luna's eyes at that time. Naturally, his name was also imitation magic.' Carmilla replied in a tone that seemed a little arrogant.

"Be-so, huh?"

'Well even though it is flawed, still the magic eye is very strong. Makes you on a different level to humans in general.' continued Carmilla.

In the end, Lucius began to study to distinguish between mana and animals and plants.

Little by little, Lucius recorded and recorded the details of the difference with his brain.

Despite not having a talented body, Lucius himself had above average intelligence. Which he himself did not even realize.

It didn't take long for Lucius to understand the difference between humans and other living things.

Basically, the Mana on the human body is much more concentrated and brighter. In addition, the form of Mana was concentrated in the human heart. Before spreading to other body parts.

How weak does Mana belong to humans, Mana owned by animals is much less and seems dimmer. Especially where the plant belongs.

"So that's why eating meat is better at restoring mana than vegetables?" lucius asked after understanding the difference.

After looking around for about 15 minutes, Lucius finally found what he was looking for.

Deep in the forest....

Right on the slopes of the hills in the North, Lucius saw many Mana points that resembled human Mana.

When Lucius focused part of his Mana on his left eye....

Lucius could see a group of humans walking here, transporting many items such as crates and weaponry into a cave.

"So right there? Naturally Alex had trouble finding him. What's more...."

Of all the bandits seen in that distance, Lucius could see one of them had a considerable amount of Mana.

Comparing that Mana to himself, it was likely that the amount of Mana of that person was about a quarter of Lucius' Mana.

"Is that so? Worth it...."

Lucius understood how the bandits always managed to snatch the goods of the merchant entourage. That makes Alex a little bit of a problem.

With that amount of Mana, even if Alex gave 20 bodyguards to the merchant party, they would still lose.

"alright. I-i understand. Now...."

'What are you thinking?' ask Carmilla suddenly.

"Eh? What was I thinking? Of course hunt them all down." replied Lucius who immediately jumped from the top of the tower.

He ran quickly between the roofs of houses in this city. Not only fast, the footsteps and jumps are almost no sound.

It was proof that Lucius had trained his abilities so well all along.

'Wait 'wait! I'm not done talking! There are dozens of them! You don't even carry a gun yourself! What do you think you can do?' ask Carmilla to panic.

"I can kill them all before the lesson in the academy starts."

'Not that! But....'

No matter how much explanation Carmilla gave Lucius, the boy did not listen to her at all.

Right now, the one in Lucius' head is only one. That is securing money to pay his debts, also to support the children in the orphanage.

If Lucius did not work hard, the amount of donations obtained by the orphanage was not even enough to give them all food 2 times a day.

Because that's it.....

'Tap 'em! Swuuush!!'

"Who's there?!" shouted one of the bandits in front of the hideout.

Instead of fighting in the shadows, Lucius intended to fight them all blatantly.

He raised both hands and made horses for that empty-handed fighting style.

Lucius immediately jumped forward and raised a fist with his right hand. About right on the bandit's face.

'Braa!!!'

"Only with one punch has he fainted? Well, just in case...."

Immediately, Lucius took the knife in the bandit's belt. Using it to stab the bandit right at his heart.

'Jleeebb!!!'

"good. Now...."

'Lucius, you.' said Carmilla a little horrified.

Meanwhile Lucius who immediately walked into the cave of the bandits asked.

"Why?"

'You're not afraid of killing... humans?'

Lucius' footsteps halted for a moment. He understood what Carmilla really wanted to ask.

Killing monsters was much different from killing humans. On the one hand, monsters were creatures without common sense and always caused great harm to humans.

And kill another human? Even if they were bandits, they might as well do it because of the force. It is also possible to support their own families.

But for Lucius?

The answer to Carmilla's question is....

"They are no different from monsters. Killing and harming others to make money.... Aah, maybe I have become a monster too? I also killed them for money." Lucius said with a light laugh.

The exhaustion experienced by Lucius may have affected his senses a little.

It makes the boy unable to think straight.

"No. I'm not the same as them. What I killed was a bad guy, right?"

"Who's there?!"

Before Lucius' question was answered by Carmilla, several bandits were seen walking from the darkness.

Each of them carries a different weapon. One man is seen carrying a spear, two men carrying a sword without a shield, and one last man appears to be carrying a bow and arrow.

"Aaah, shit. I have not yet practiced how to use a knife. But never mind, I will train against you all." Lucius said with a light laugh

Carmilla who was looking at Lucius' current figure felt a little frightened. Fearful that Lucius would take the wrong step, and regret it later after his life was over.

But....

"Buck! You think you can...."

'Jleeebbb!!! Braaakk!!'

Very quickly, Lucius had been right in front of the bandit carrying the bow and arrow. He stuck the knife in his heart with his left hand.

"Is this how you use a knife?" asked Lucius curiously.

"Damn it! Dead ka...."

'Zraaat!!!'

"Or like this?" lucius asked back after swinging his knife to the side and slitting the neck of the bandit carrying the spear.

"This boy...."

"We go back first and report on...."

The two remaining bandits looked terrified after seeing Lucius' abilities.

"Aah, I don't know. I'll end you with my skills. After all, it's only an hour and a half before class starts."

With that sentence, Lucius raised his right hand. On his palm, a reddish-yellow fireball began to appear

Lucius began to point his hand at the two fleeing bandits, before finally....

'Blaaaaaarrrrr!!!'

Fired it and burned both of them quickly.

"I think I should hurry" Lucius said to himself as he walked through the flames. Heading right in the deepest part of this cave.
