The Demon Queen's Disciple

The Demon Queen's Disciple
Chapter 77 - Border

"So, can you explain why we're on the border of the Elves now?" asked Lucius who was hiding on top of the big tree.

'of course. Searching for this body for my soul, Carmilla casually replied.

"Well.... You're this...."

It had been a day since Lucius left the ruins where Carmilla's heart was supposed to be.

But because of her heart that had been stolen, Carmilla had been continuously angry for this one day. Forcing Lucius to walk towards the borders of this Elvandar Kingdom.

A territory ruled by the race closest to the Mana Goddess herself, the Elves.

Even though it is still in the border area, the forest in this place already looks much different from what is in the human domain.

Not only the number of plants that are so many and look so fertile, but also the trees that soar very high.

The tree that Lucius was currently hiding in was also like that. The height of the tree reaches 50 meters more with leaves that are so lush.

"You think there will be Elves walking alone? If there were, what would you do? Kidnap her?" asked Lucius in a cynical tone.

'Lucius, that's why you're still a boy.'

"Huh? What do you mean by that?" asked Lucius annoyed.

'Have you ever seen an Elf?' ask Carmilla.

"Only in the book. He said they had a human-like appearance with a slimmer body. But their main characteristic is the pointed and panja ears...."

'Well, that's true but.... You wouldn't know very well from a book. Listen, Lucius. Elves are very beautiful, even men of the Elf race are much more beautiful and charming than even the most beautiful women of the human race. Their skin is very smooth and soft, not only that, they have a lifespan up to hundreds of years longer than humans.

"Huh? What does it mean that Elf men are more beautiful than any woman in the human race?" asked Lucius who was getting annoyed.

'You'll understand later after meeting them. But briefly.... They were the perfect product for nobles.'

Carmilla's last sentence was immediately pierced right on Lucius' day. Calling someone a product, Lucius recalled what had once surprised him in the middle of the city of Arcanum.

"Slave?" lucius asked in a voice so faint. His body trembled in fear as he imagined what he might see later.

'Really. No matter the time, humans and other races considered Elves to be the most beautiful race. That was why the Elves had always isolated themselves from this world. Even so.... See.' Carmilla said as Lucius's eyes were pointing somewhere.

Lucius' magic eye sight was less clear in this place. It was because this forest itself was filled with many Mana scattered in all directions.

But when he focuses on somewhere....

Lucius could see it.

A group of about 20 humans, as well as 4 horses pulled a wagon with a large iron cage on it.

In that iron cage....

"That's right.... What the fuck?" lucius asked in a soft voice after seeing the reality before him.

'Reality. The world is not always black and white, Lucius. You must begin to understand that, Carmilla replied.

Seen in that iron cage, the dozens of Elves were helplessly confined. All are women. With some kind of magic tool wrapped around their necks like a necklace.

When looking at it further, Lucius was able to realize that the iron necklace was nothing but a device that suppressed the movement of Mana in one's body.

If the estimation was correct, then the tool could prevent one from using magic completely.

For Elves whose main strength they were from Mana and magic? Of course the existence of the iron necklace can make any Elf become unable to fight.

"I.." said Lucius to himself. He felt so upset over himself that it was too naive to realize the darkness in this world.

'Leave it to me. You wouldn't protest if I took one of them, would you?' said Carmilla who quickly took over Lucius' body.

'Zraaat!'

"Hmm? Did you hear anything?" asked one of the human hunters to his partner.

"of course! I heard the money will soon fill our pockets!"

"Stupid, not that but...."

'Zraaaaassshhh!!!'

Without warning, Carmilla immediately slashed the neck of the hunter. Throwing his head high before rolling on the ground.

'Zraaat!'

Swinging his sword to clear the blood, Carmilla spoke using Lucius' body.

"Fourteen Elves huh? And all those beautiful young women? I'm sure you guys can definitely earn a lot of money from selling them. So, can you split one Elf for me?" carmilla said as she pointed the Mithril sword forward.

"Huh?! You're nuts! We have aka...."

"Sraaasshhh!"

Again, without the slightest warning Carmilla slashed at the neck of the hunter who had just spoken.

Killed him instantly in one fell swoop.

"You're gonna regret this! Against our group alone? Who is flushing...."

"Boss?"

"Let me take care of it" said the long black-haired man confidently.

He stepped right in front of Lucius. Their height is quite different. Understand it because Lucius had just reached the age of 17 years while inside the dimensional prison.

While the man in front of him, it is not wrong again is an adult who has been highly trained in this matter.

But....

'Damn it! What the fuck is this kid? Just a boy, but why his body.' thought the long black-haired man while continuing to pay attention to Lucius' figure.

From behind Lucius' tattered clothes, Lucius's muscles were so well trained and scarred so much. Unmistakably, the boy before him was a figure who had often faced dangerous situations.

'Should I test it?' thought the boss of the hunter group.

He quickly dealt a blow with his right hand. Directed right on Lucius' face. But....

"From now what do you want to do?" carmilla was confused. His right hand was seen holding the man's punch easily.

'It's bad! I can't even push any further?! This brat?!'

"I told you I only wanted to ask one of those Elves, right?" carmilla continued with a gaze filled with killing intent.

"Alright! I'll give you one! Oh! Somebody get me 'him' and bring it here!" said the boss hunter was panicking.

Some of his subordinates were seen opening the padlock from the large iron cage. Taking out an Elf with a body that was quite small and short, was also full of whip wounds all over his body that was only wrapped in a piece of white cloth.

"Please! Free for you!" said the boss of the hunter in panic.

Meanwhile Carmilla who saw the behavior of the group of hunters....

"That's right. Out of the 14 Elves, you gave me the worst? Aaah, forget it. I will kill you all and choose for myself. Besides, I don't feel okay all day, you know?" reply Carmilla.

Now it was not only his gaze that was filled with such powerful killing intent.

But his right hand had drawn the Mithril sword through the neck of the chief hunter.

"Gaaghhh!!!"

With blood gushing out from his neck, the other hunters ran around in fear. Leaving Carmilla alone along with 4 horses carrying the iron cage.

'You don't intend to pursue him?' ask Lucius.

"Lazy."

'Well, is that it?'

Lucius was worried because Carmilla really only wanted one Elf without any intention of saving them.

But now....

'Oh!!!'

Carmilla smashed the iron cage with her sword. Freeing those fourteen young Elves. It's just....

"Na ceni ar nin galad, anira ln. I anir, le nn erthar i vegil. Forn ennas leithio. Man i is?" carmilla said in a language that Lucius could not understand.

'What did you just say?' lucius asked after seeing the reaction of the Elves seem so confused and frightened. But on the other hand, Lucius also saw all those Elves breathing a sigh of relief.

Not long after, one of the Elves was seen walking forward toward Carmilla.

She has beautiful blonde hair with bright blue eyes. His height was also on par with Lucius' current body, slightly taller.

His posture looks quite slim but ideal. From his thin pink lips, he retorted.

"Anae adu en'narn, elen silavariel enel i'norethiel thiri dihir amin estel ar i'tarri en i'casa enel im meleth. Annae Lirael." he said, bowing his head.

"Nadur gwaeth, westa vi hu. Isto, anae rato, le anca mi. Tawarwaith ends venesta le i'nomin enel eleni?" ask Carmilla back.

After Carmilla's words, all the Elves other than the ones talking to Carmilla looked so sad. They tried to pull and stop the Elf, but he kept shaking his head with a smile.

Lucius could only estimate that the Elf who spoke to Carmilla was sacrificing itself for the safety of the others.

That's his assumption. Given how the Elves reacted.

Then with such a gentle smile, the Elf retorted.

"Uire, pedin naa'le amen."

"Lye, Lirael." Carmilla responded with a big smile.

Lucius had no idea what the two had just talked about.

But one thing is certain, which is the fact that the other 13 Elves are seen walking back to their territory sadly.

While the Elf who had been talking to Carmilla, now walked after her. Although he kept trying to maintain his smile, once in a while Lucius could feel it.

That behind that strong smile, there was such a deep sadness.

It was as if he had understood what would happen to him after this.
