The Demon Queen's Disciple

The Demon Queen's Disciple
Chapter 91 - Forecast

'Sruugg! Nababab!'

Lucius was seen sitting in the waiting room of this Arena. Resting his exhausted body after using some sword techniques from that demon.

"Huh, shit.... I still need to practice again." Lucius told himself.

Just as Lucius was just about to gulp down the cold water presented by the caretaker of this Arena, a portal suddenly appeared beside him.

From behind the portal, the figure of Alora was seen walking with a tense face.

"What an incredible fight, Lucius. If you say you are from a knight academy, I will definitely not doubt your words." Alora said in a cynical tone.

"What do you want to say." asked Lucius after sipping the cold water.

"Your talent is completely unnatural, Lucius. It's as if the Gods gave you all that talent half a year ago."

Lucius understood the direction of this conversation. His abnormal growth in strength was of course due to the help of Carmilla.

The Mana Flow magic formation taught by Carmilla was able to make Lucius obtain at least 3 years of magic training in just 3 months.

While the new body of Awakening results that he did was able to make the potential of his physical abilities beyond the normal limits of the human race itself.

But there's no way he's gonna say it, is he?

"I used to think the world was unfair because there were so many talented people around me. Without realizing I myself was also a little talented." replied Lucius who was busy drying sweat all over his body with that small white towel.

"Little? Lucius, your talent is far from a word."

"Is that so?"

Silence enveloped the two after the conversation had come to a halt. And finally, Alora expressed her true purpose.

"Lucius. Holy girl, Mary, wants to see you. Can you come with me okay?" ask Alora. He soon opens a new portal, leading to a place completely unknown to Lucius.

"Holy Girl, Mary? Wh who? Where's?"

"No need to ask. You'll understand after you meet him."

Despite the slight trauma of entering the portal of strangers, Lucius is convinced that the figure of this Holy Girl may be the key to dispelling all her accusations.

With that still exhausted body, Lucius got up from his seat and immediately walked towards the portal.

"I just need to see him, right?" lucius asked for a moment before stepping his foot.

"Yes, and watch your talk to her."

"Yes yes.... I get it."

As soon as Lucius passed through that portal, an incredible sight was immediately seen in front of him.

A beautiful architecture, with many mosaics in the giant glass windows. So also with the chandelier so magnificent on the ceiling Katredal.

At the end of this Katredal, Lucius could see a large enough statue with a beautiful white color.

Statue of Goddess Lunaria that stands majestically at the end of this Katredal room. The statue is the center of attention and object of greatness for those entering the cathedral in the royal capital of Arathor, Titania.

The statue is made of soft white stone, giving the impression of elegance and purity.

Goddess Lunaria is depicted in an upright position with a graceful and elegant demeanor with her tall and also slender body.

The face of Goddess Lunaria was formed in detail, displaying gentle and beautiful features. His sky blue eyes emitted a calming and tactful light.

The statue of Goddess Lunaria is seen wearing clothes made of white stone with a fine gold decoration. Her long dress decomposed elegantly, and each fold of fabric detailed beautifully. The hand of Goddess Lunaria was lifted up, as if spreading rays of light and blessings to her people.

Even if Lucius did not worship any God or Goddess, seeing such a grand statue made him quite stunned.

"First time seeing Goddess Lunaria?" asked Alora in a cynical tone.

"Well, that's it."

"I hope that after meeting the Holy Girl Mary, you can gain confidence and repent to the Goddess Lunaria for all your deeds." avenging Alora leads Lucius to a hidden room in the Katredal.

"Sorry to repent for what? I don't feel like I'm making that big of a sin."

Hearing Lucius' reply, Alora only fell silent after clicking her tongue.

After a while....

"We arrived. Follow me." said Alora.

In front of Lucius, he could see a beautiful curtain, covering what was behind it. The shadow of a girl's figure could be seen piercing through the curtain.

A moment after stepping her feet into this room, Alora immediately knelt down and reported.

'Huwah?! Even the witch hero to his knees? Who exactly is this Holy Mary Girl?' lucius was surprised.

"I've brought Lucius to you at your command" said Alora, who continued to stare at the floor in the room.

'Even using polite, formal language?!' lucius shouted increasingly surprised.

"Thank you, Alora. Can you leave us both?"

Hearing that sentence, Alora immediately raised her face in surprise.

"Mo-I'm sorry, but leave you with a guy like this...."

"No problem. I've seen it a little. At least, she's not a bad person." Mary replies cutting out Alora's words.

After a while filled with doubt, Alora finally heeded Mary's request and immediately left this room. Keep this room from the outside so no one can come in.

While Lucius who was left alone with the strange girl, could only think badly.

'Given how Alora respected him, it was unmistakable that he had a higher position than her. In other words.... More powerful?!' lucius thought he was analyzing the situation.

But after that Lucius just realized. A moment after seeing the Mana from the girl's body.

His mana has a blue color like mana in general. Only, in the middle of his Mana was a beautiful golden light.

That Mana array reminded him of himself, where Lucius' Mana midsection had a gray color.

"There's no need for that, Lucius Nightshade. Please sit near here, I'll make you some tea." said Mary in a soft voice.

"All right...."

Lucius accepted Mary's offer. He sat down leisurely right in front of the curtain that bordered between the outer region and also Mary's territory.

Without being able to see Mary's true figure.

'Srruuugg!!!'

Not long after, Mary pushed a metal tray from behind the curtain. On top of it is a teapot with one glass cup and a bowl of cookies.

"Ugh.." said Lucius doubtfully.

"Just calm. There's no poison." Mary replied briefly.

Two small hands were seen coming out from behind the curtain. Pour the tea from the teapot into his own glass and take one pastry for him to eat.

"Lucius, this is quite delicious. Enjoy it." he said in a friendly voice.

"All right then...."

Lucius bit off the sweet but pretty savory pastry. Its slightly rough but not so hard texture was so well-suited in its mouth.

As his mouth began to dry from the cake, he sipped the warm tea he had poured on his glass.

"Aaah, you're right. Thank you." said Lucius with a faint smile on his face.

This kind of warmth has not been felt for a long time, since his life turned upside down due to the presence of Carmilla.

But that doesn't mean Lucius regretted all that. He was just a little homesick about this peaceful atmosphere.

It's just....

"You don't want to see me just for tea, do you?" lucius asked with a light laugh.

"of course. But before that...."

From behind the curtain, Lucius could see the shadow of Mary prostrating towards Lucius while continuing his words.

"I'm sorry. As a result of my imperfect predictions, you're caught up in a lot of accusations, aren't you?"

"Eh?"

'Deg! The deg!!'

Lucius' heart was pounding violently after hearing that sentence.

"What do you mean by that?" ask Lucius again.

Suddenly, Mary opened the curtain that separated the two. Showing her beautiful figure with long golden blonde hair and beautiful unraveling.

He was wearing a light church robe with the main color of white.

But what caught Lucius' attention the most was the black cloth with golden grooves covering his eyes. Even that black cloth also had runes written clearly.

"Ma-Mary's? Is it okay to open the curtain?" lucius asked frantically, afraid that Alora who was outside this room would see him.

"No problem." Mary replied briefly. He used his left hand to crawl towards Lucius. While his right hand pulled and removed the black cloth that covered his two eyes.

Although at a glance, Lucius could see it clearly. A thick white bandage wrapped around his church robe.

As for what was behind the blindfold, it was such a beautiful golden eye.

"The eye." said Lucius surprised after realizing it.

From now on, he could not see the Mana in his eyes. The cause was none other than the blindfold with many runes inscribed on it.

Blocking the entire vision of the magic eye, both for others and its own users.

"The goddess Lunaria left these eyes on me. Makes me able to see what an ordinary human should not be able to see." said Mary with a smile that seemed filled with sadness.

"Did?"

"really. Because after I die, these eyes will return to Goddess Lunaria. Waiting for the next Holy Girl to be chosen."

Lucius finally understood why Alora had so much respect for this girl named Mary.

After hearing the explanation just now, it is not wrong that Mary is a higher figure compared to the 7 heroes in this world.

The closest figure, to Goddess Lunaria herself.

"That's it...."

"Lucius. With these eyes, I can see it very clearly. Your whole life, your past, and part of your possible future" he said in a soft voice.

"Eh? Isn't such strength too strong.... Wait?!"

Mary had a sweet smile after seeing Lucius' reaction.

"aaah. Carmilla huh? So the cause of your power is that demon?" mary whispered toward Lucius' left ear.

'Sruuugg!!!'

Lucius quickly retreated away from Mary after hearing the whisper.

'It's bad! Much worse than I thought! How now....'

Before Lucius was able to think of a way to escape from this bad situation, a hope appeared right before his eyes.

"Just calm. I only saw a bright light in the next few years of your life. The light that warms everyone around you." said Mary with a warm smile.

"But.." he continued.

"But?" ask Lucius in fear.

Mary is seen waving her hands, asking Lucius to come closer.

"Three.... Or maybe four more years, the eyes of Goddess Lunaria are showing something very bad in your life. Darkness coming from a distance, with the intention to swallow you up." explains Mary.

"Darkness? What does that mean?"

"Kugha! Uhuk!! Ohhhh!!!"

Mary was seen coughing badly with a lot of blood coming out of her mouth.

"Ma-Mary?! You all right?!"

Without retaliating, Mary simply tried her hardest to reach for the blindfold beside her, before putting it back on her eyes.

He tied up the black cloth and drained some of his Mana to activate the runes contained within.

"I'm sorry.... Looking that far is usually not so accurate, but not wrong again. Something terrible awaits you in the future. Something's.... With a very deep hatred.." explained Mary with her mouth that continues to bleed.

From behind that black blindfold, Lucius could also see blood begin to flow soaking into her beautiful face.

"Are you really okay?"

Mary raised her right hand. Asking Lucius to focus on listening to what he was going to say.

"Alora! Come here!" mary shouted before immediately returning to hide behind the curtain.

"Yes? Can I help you?" alora asked while kneeling near the door.

"Lucius was not the bearer of the disaster I had seen before. But something very dark awaits him in the future. Likely, the bearer of the disaster." explains Mary who continuously coughed up blood.

"So...."

"Please stop the surveillance on him. Whatever his background, Lucius was not a person who harmed this world. Instead I saw it as a light that illuminated it." explained Mary.

Quickly, Alora replied.

"understandable. I'll be working on it soon."

Lucius himself remained silent on the spot. Thinking of everything that the Holy Girl named Mary had just said.

'Three to four years before the darkness swallowed me? What does that mean?'
