Upon arriving inside this Sacred Catredal, Lucius was greeted with a row of hundreds of Holy Knights neatly lined up.
Everyone looked towards Lucius with astonished gazes.
"Who's that boy?"
"Why did he come along with Miss Alora?"
"What are these kids doing here?"
The questions of those Holy Knights could be heard clearly in Lucius' ears. But Lucius who had absolutely no intention of explaining everything just fell silent.
"He is Lucius Nightshade, a student of Damacia Academy." explained Alora briefly.
"What's? A student? Why did you bring students on this expedition, Miss Alora?" ask one of the confused paladins.
"That's right. Isn't he just going to hinder our expedition?" ask the other Holy Knights.
But Alora was silent not retaliating. He just stared at Lucius while turning his head several times towards the Holy Knight line.
"Well.... Alright." Lucius replied after understanding what Alora meant.
Soon after, Lucius took out something from inside his pouch. It is an identifying mark with a beautiful golden layer.
"No way.... That color, level S?" asked one of the paladins with wide eyes when he saw Lucius's identification.
"What's? Still a student but already reached S level?"
"Although so, Miss Alora. Isn't it a little dangerous to take him that inexperienced?" ask the other Holy Knights.
Until finally, one of the Inquisitors who was there remembered the figure of Lucius.
"You.... Who was that time together with Miss Alora hunting the Devil? How many months has it been since? 6 months?" asked the Inquisitor who was none other than Roland. He has short hair with a reddish color and a weapon in the form of a large sword.
"Aaah, Mr. Roland. It's an honor you still remember me." Lucius replied politely, following the atmosphere around him.
"Wait a minute, 6 months ago the boy was already hunting the Devil?"
"It seems he's strong enough."
"He's strong!" yelled Alora loudly. Stopping the commotion within this Sacred Katredal.
Everyone is silent too.
After a while, Alora then explained the plan of this expedition. They will bring a sufficient supply of food and drinks for 3 days only.
It was because with Alora's magic, they could return at any time. So there is no meaning in bringing too much food and drinks.
Then the movement of the troops will be gathered into one. Given the mysterious power of the enemy, it would be too foolish to split up.
And lastly....
"Lucius is a magician capable of using space magic just like me. If things get too dangerous, go to him. He will bring you guys back while me and Roland and Iris will hold the opponent back." explained Alora as she pointed towards the two Inquisitors behind her.
One of them was Roland with reddish hair and a large sword as his weapon.
The other was a woman with pink hair tied in a ponytail. He was wearing the Light Church robe with a short skirt and a bit of armor guarding his body.
Primary weapon....
'What the fuck is that gun?' lucius asked in his heart while frowning. In his entire life, he had never seen such a weapon.
Something that resembled a large metal pipe with an intricate iron array, then a light blue magic crystal in the middle of it seemed tied to his back.
In the part that resembles the handle, there is a small lever that seems suitable to be pulled using a finger.
"Then, I will use mass teleportation magic. Get ready, because we will be right in the middle of the Barbarian region in a while" explained Alora.
"Ready!" shouted all the Holy Knights who were in this place.
While Lucius himself was still confused about the strange weapon he had just seen.
.............
'Swuuuussshhh!!!'
The scene that was in front of Lucius instantly changed drastically after Alora's mass teleportation magic was successfully activated.
What was once a beautiful Katredal wall, has now turned into a high rocky cliff with barren land as their foothold.
Lucius himself walked at the back of the line. Assigned to secure the escape route if the situation worsens.
It's just....
"I don't understand why Miss Alora took you" said a pink-haired woman who was none other than Iris the Inquisitor.
At this time, he appeared to be carrying his strange weapon with his right hand. He lifts it like a suitcase.
"Eh? Why are you here?!" lucius shouted in surprise.
"Why? Of course securing the back. Besides, my attack was a long-range type." he replied cynically.
"From that, explain how you can stay here" he continued.
"Well, about that...."
Lucius then explained most of it to Iris. All with the aim of stopping that useless infighting.
"Hm.... Didn't she? Alright. I will slightly acknowledge your ability of being able to use space magic. But if you become a burden, I won't hesitate to leave you. So be prepared." get back at it before you leave Lucius.
"Yes, I get it. I will try not to be a burden." Lucius replied briefly.
After hours of exploration, none of these expedition groups found. Only the remains of the Barbarian camp have been burned to the ground.
Complete with Barbarian remains that are almost completely reduced to ashes around it.
"If the opponent is only a Barbarian, there is no way the group with two Inquisitors can just lose" Alora said after examining the rest of the Barbarian camp.
There wasn't much Mana left in that place. In other words, the battles that took place in this place were mostly just using physical abilities alone.
"Miss Alora. This.." said Roland while carrying a piece of white armor.
Realizing what the metal was, Alora gritted her teeth in annoyance.
"Mithril.... How can these uncivilized people have it?" ask Alora.
"That was my question too. There is likely to be interference from other races in the region. I suspect the Dwarf." reply Roland.
"Dwarf huh? Youre right. If it's them...."
Dwarves were renowned as the best craftsmen in this world. Both weapons and armor, even to various equipment for daily life. Dwarves were far superior in this regard compared to the other races.
Forging Mithril and also planting Rune. It was all actually Dwarf technology stolen by mankind since time immemorial.
It's just....
Dwarves were a race that put gold and wealth above the Gods and Goddesses. They do not worship them at all.
As long as there is gold, they will move wherever the most gold is.
Even if it favors evil in this world.
But that doesn't mean they're a race that defends evil. They follow gold. If a race that supported kindness like Humans and Elves could afford to pay more, the Dwarves would gladly side with them.
As Alora was busy to think about the various opportunities in this situation....
"Miss Alora! It's bad! Somebody's.... It's in the North! No. gabe.... He led hundreds of Barbarians behind him!" yelled Iris who was looking towards the distance with 6 small blue magic circles right in front of her right eye, while pointing her strange weapon in the same direction.
He raised the strange weapon using both hands and used his right shoulder as a pedestal.
"What?!" alora shouted in surprise.
Alora immediately looked in the direction mentioned. In the distance, there was a man with a pair of reddish horns small enough on his head who led the hundreds of Barbarians behind him.
He wore a red armor that was thick enough, but not too heavy to slow the movement of his dark red wings. While the long tail seems to move here and there.
His face looked so serious without a single smile. Unmistakably, that figure had indeed been waiting for the arrival of the troops from the Light Church.
He appears to be carrying a not-so-long spear, with reddish metal and a snake-like groove on his back.
"Dragonnewt's. I had expected, the half-dragon race of humans had always sided in the direction of evil." said Alora, preparing herself for the fight that might happen.
