The Demon Queen's Disciple

The Demon Queen's Disciple
Chapter 62 - Day H

'Don't you have to leave soon, Lucius?' ask Carmilla.

"Now." replied Lucius who was still busy working on something at his desk.

In front of him, an Arcana card had been almost completely completed. Such a complex set of magic, which no one in the world has ever seen.

An original magic of Lucius. Only he himself can make and use it.

'Besides, that kind of magic.... Is it really possible to create?' ask Carmilla who is filled with doubt in every word.

"Eitherway. I don't know myself either." Lucius replied with a light laugh.

Both of his hands did not stop working to finish the Arcana. His gaze also seemed to be filled with incredible focus.

'uh? What kind of answer is that?'

"After all, how do I know if I haven't tried it? I finished it just in case, as a guarantee if a situation like the one that was back happened."

The situation that used to be, of course, Lucius meant was a situation where there were abnormal monsters with strength that surpassed him.

If such a situation were to re-occur, and Lucius did not have enough strength to handle it....

Then that's where this Arcana will be useful. At least that was the plan.

"I hope I never have to use this. Besides still untested, this Arcana is still not perfect. I don't know what defects might be in it." continued Lucius.

'Ah, that's right. The defect. It would be great if that Arcana didn't kill us both if it failed!' reply Carmilla's upset.

Despite understanding how intelligent Lucius was in the field of theoretical witchcraft, he still could not trust this 16-year-old child completely.

Especially in making Original magic this complex.

"Just calm down, something like that won't happen. Perhaps." replied Lucius who immediately raised the Arcana card that had been completed.

'Huh?! Did you just say maybe?!'

Lucius is seen pointing his right hand to the side, where a space resembling a small portal is created. Letting his hand go in and keeping the Arcana card inside.

"By the way, Carmilla."

'Wait first! Just now, what are you doing?!' carmilla shouted cutting off Lucius' words.

"Eh? Just now? Space magic. Although my level is still very low, so it is only able to create a small room to store a few items."

'The magic of space?! S-so all this time....'

Carmilla was reminded of Lucius' strange attitude the past few weeks. Where the boy continued to move his right hand to and fro as if he was about to reach for something that did not exist.

The movement he thought was very strange was in fact Lucius who was trying to learn space magic.

"Don't I always train in that? You didn't realize it? Well, even though it just worked yesterday."

'W-what did you say?!'

"Yes, I only managed to use that simple space magic yesterday. Honestly troublesome you know? You have to perform complex mathematical calculations in your head instantly while formulating a magic formation...."

Lucius' complaint had only been given in return by Carmilla's silence for a moment.

Before finally in such a serious tone, Carmilla gave her little hope.

'Lucius, I hope you never have to use that Arcana.'

............

Upon his arrival at the academy, Lucius was greeted by a large crowd of students as well as professors at the academy.

Some seemed to give a look of pity because Lucius had to face not only the students of class B. But also a student who is 3 years older than him.

Most of the other students were smiling and laughing. He even cursed at Lucius.

"Buahaha! Class F? Dare to oppose the Goldencrest family?! You're gonna die!"

"Let's die, class F is useless!"

"Even the class you are studying in is not worth using! Just dismiss!"

"Everything! This is an easy opportunity to make money! There's no way a second-year F-class student can fight William Goldencrest who comes from fifth-year B-class!"

"I heard William even participated in the frontline battle for his devotion!"

In addition to various insults and blasphemies, some students from the academy were seen pelting Lucius with pebbles.

'Swuuushh! Swuush!'

Using wind magic to a minimum, Lucius changed the direction of all the stone throws around him so as not to hit him.

'Are you sure you'll just shut up?' carmilla asked in Lucius's mind.

"For what? There is no point in taking care of a trivial matter like this." replied Lucius who began to accelerate his footsteps.

Upon arrival in class, his friends were already present. Their faces seemed to be filled with fear and unrest from all this crowd.

Even some academy security officers had to be deployed to guard this F classroom from the attacks of the other students.

"Lucius! You okay?" ask Sophia worried.

"Just calm. No problem for me. Besides, Alex. Is it ready?" lucius asked looking at the brownish-haired man in the distance.

Lucius replied to her with a nod and a thin smile. Before finally sitting down in class to start the lesson today.

............

In the afternoon, after class....

Lucius, accompanied by all the children from class F, was waiting in the waiting room of this Arena. Prepare yourself for the game that is about to begin.

"Lucius, why did you accept it? You know William has survived the front lines of the war, right?" sophia asked who was constantly worried about Lucius.

But with a friendly smile, Lucius replied.

"Just calm. Everything should be going fine."

"I'm really amazed at your confidence, Lucius." said Oliver, who looked at Lucius from the corner of the waiting room.

"Isn't that a good thing? We can show that Class F also has power! Not what they thought!" max raised his right hand. Show me that muscle in his arm.

"Emily, don't like fighting." whispered Emily to the two dolls she was holding.

'Dok! Doc!'

"Lucius! Prepare yourself! The duel will begin soon!" shouted one of the officers from behind the door of this waiting room.

'Stamp!'

Leisurely, Alex is seen embracing Lucius' shoulder and walking with him out of this waiting room. While Alex's left hand is seen carrying a large wooden box that is quite long.

In the passageway leading to that battle Arena, Alex immediately handed it over.

'Braa!'

He put the wooden box on the floor. Open the key slowly.

"I'm sorry I just finished one, Lucius" said Alex who was seen giving a disappointed look at himself. He seemed to frown while putting on a bitter smile.

"No problem, Alex. Instead I am very grateful because you want to help me get like this." replied Lucius who immediately raised the Mithril sword.

A one-handed sword with a silvery-colored blade that was so beautiful. In the center of the blade there are 4 Rune namely Vor, Vel, Dur, and also Elys.

Increasing the strength, speed, endurance and also the agility of Lucius and the Mithril sword when fighting.

'Huwah, 4 runes? From the hands of men? That's incredible!' praise Carmilla after seeing the blade of the sword.

"Mithril is a very strong metal. It should be able to withstand your 'power', Lucius. Then...."

Alex suddenly gaped while giving his explanation. All because he saw Lucius casually using space magic to store Mithril's sword.

"Lu-Lucius, just now...."

"Ah, right too. Alex. I intend to give this to you." replied Lucius who immediately pulled a piece of paper from his space magic.

"What's this?" alex asked curiously after seeing the magic formation on the paper.

A few moments later, Alex realized it. That what he was looking at, was far more precious than the sword he had just given Lucius.

"Lucius?! This is?!" alex shouted with both eyes wide open.

"One of my secrets is being strong. Mana Flow's. Use that to practice, Alex. Also, don't spread it to others. You know how valuable that is, right? After all, that one could regenerate up to a third of its Mana."

'Glek!'

Alex was no longer able to speak. A Mana Flow practicing technique that regenerates a third of the Mana used.

The magic formation that Lucius had just given him was much stronger than even the Arathorn Royal family.

The price? Certainly not at all assessable. Even exchanging a mountain of wealth is not necessarily able to get it.

And Lucius just gave it away?

'Bruuk!'

"Eh?" lucius asked in surprise after seeing the figure of Alex kneeling behind him.

"Lucius, no. Lord Lucius. I swear I will always be loyal to you. Using all my abilities to support you to become the strongest in the city, no.... In this kingdom. So please, accept me as your right hand." said Alexander Brown, who kept his head down to the ground.

He realized that the figure of the man named Lucius before him was no longer the same Lucius he had known.

The figure before him this time....

No other than a genius in the magic world. Being able to create a Mana Flow magic formation that was even much better than belonging to the Royal family though.

Even so....

"What are you doing? Stop that formal way of speaking. Haven't you been my right hand ever since? I entrust complicated things to you, Alex." Lucius replied with a very warm smile.

Alex, who saw how humble Lucius was, could only continue to say a huge thank you.

Feeling grateful that he was born at the right time, and also in the same place as Lucius.

He realized that Lucius's figure would no longer be a hero.... No. gabe. Become a legend who made history in this world someday.

Shortly after, his figure was seen walking along the hallway of this Arena.

Heading into the fight he had scheduled against William Goldencrest.
