11. Cursed Child

"What is this useless message screen in front of me? I don't have time to figure out what it is, I have to see Amy's situation right away."

I went to Amy's place lying on the ground. I checked to see if there were any visible injuries.

Thankfully it didn't seem like Amy was seriously injured and had just fainted. I lifted it up and placed it on my back, I looked around and found the other three boys. Gary was still unconscious under the tree. As for the other two, I'm not too sure of their condition.

I only have the power to bring one more person. If one was left here alone, then there was a high chance that a savage beast would come and prey on him. I had to make a choice about who else I would bring and I walked up to Gary under the tree.

Although we both had a fight with each other, but I found out that Gary was like that to protect Amy's life. The other two boys are strangers to me. I took Gary and hugged him in my arms while Amy was on my back.

After that I walked out of the forest slowly, although I had grown stronger but carrying two people required extra strength.

I don't know how long I've been walking and my eyesight is getting blurry. I keep fighting to stay stable so I can get out of the forest safely.

I finally came out of the forest and entered the village area, I could hear someone's voice.

"There's some kids here"

"It looks like they're coming from the forest."

"That must be the missing children, quickly call their parents!"

The whole village came quickly to see what was going on, the parents of the children also came. I lowered Gary and Amy gently to the ground.

"Please check if they're okay!" I tried to stand up and walk away but I quickly fell to the ground. All I could hear were voices.

"What's going on here?"

"I didn't know he was coming to take the two of them from the forest."

"What about Bob and Kyle"

"Sorry, he only brought these two."

I don't know who that woman is, and she came towards me. He came and grabbed me by my collar and lifted me off the ground.

"Where are Bob and Kyle?" Ask the woman while crying.

I wanted to answer, but I was too tired that I could not move all parts of my body.

Suddenly he slapped me in the face.

"You damned child, it's all your fault where my children are"

I can't believe what happened, why he slapped me. Obviously the woman was afraid to go to the forest and she blamed me for everything that happened.

Others began to defend the woman.

"Tell me where are they?"

"I know you must be the reason the kids went into the woods"

"The curse is true, look what happened to the children in this village"

They started slapping my face repeatedly. Every time I would pass out, they would slap me again to stay awake and ask where the children were.

I also tried to gather energy with my strength to get out a few words.

The women stopped holding me and threw me to the ground.

And the woman yelled "Did you just leave them there?"

People around me started shouting at me with harsh words.

"How could that damned child be so heartless"

"They will be the food of wild animals if they are in the forest"

"He is my only son" the woman said in tears

"Did they forget that I was also a child, was it because of this red hair so they forgot that I was also a child."

"Did they think of me as a monster? Aren't the humans more ruthless than the actual monsters?." Inner Ray in his heart

The women went and picked up a wooden board nearby. He started walking towards me again.

I could tell their intentions that they had bad intentions, he would hit me with the board.

"This is how my life ends."

I made another promise to myself that if I got a third chance, I would take revenge ten times what they did.

The women started swinging the wooden board towards my face.before the wooden board touched my face, it suddenly split into two, making the board miss.

I looked towards the person standing in front of me. I saw a little boy with curly blonde hair, it's Gary.

My vision turned black and I fainted.

A few days ago, Gary woke up. He looked around, not believing that he was still alive with his sister next to him. How he survived a wolf attack. The last thing Gary remembers is that he was attacked by that wolf.

He looked up and there could be many people around Ray. He asked his parents who were standing behind him while holding him and his sister.

"What's up, how do I get out of the woods?"

"When we got here, Ray was carrying you and Amy, we didn't believe he was going to force you into the woods" her mother said.

Yes he must have threatened you to enter that forest" his father agreed.

His parents already considered what the other villagers said to be the truth. In their minds, the words they spoke made sense.

But Gary knew they were wrong, it was his idea to go to the forest and hunt wild animals. The only explanation he had for this situation was that Ray must have saved them.

He saw Ray badly injured with claw marks on his chest, further strengthening Gary's thinking.

"Why did everyone attack the person who had saved me?" Gary muttered as he moved away from his parents and drew out his sword.

As the wooden board was about to hit Ray, he slashed the wooden board in half, causing it to slip from Ray and fall to the ground.

"I won't let anyone hurt the man who saved me and my brother" Gary shouted.
