The Reincarnation of the Red Dragon

The Reincarnation of the Red Dragon
07. Stay away from my brother

I tried to fight the training puppet four more times. Each time ended in a humiliating defeat. I was knocked out for the fourth time. My mom found me lying on the barn floor when she came looking for me calling for dinner.

My body was full of bruises and scratches. Even though the puppet was unable to cause fatal injuries with the wooden sword, it still hurt when it was struck. I also don't think being hit repeatedly is safe for this body.

I went out for some fresh air to clear my mind and tried to figure out a way to defeat the practice doll.

The village is a nice and quiet place and I appreciate that. It was located near the border of the Alure Kingdom and the Crune Empire. It was a mining village that traded with both sides so they often sent soldiers to protect us from monsters. So the village is always peaceful and quiet.

I went out from the center of the village to find a place to practice and think for myself. I saw a hill outside the village. I walked towards the hill and finally reached the top when I could see the trees.

I looked around to see if anyone was around. I went and sat right under the tree, facing the village. The whole village can be seen, the view is beautiful.

It's been a long time since I could just sit back and enjoy the view. That's all I want to do as I get older. Those times of peace are always broken. It reminded me of why I had to train so hard.

I stood up and pulled my sword out of my sheath. I closed my eyes to visualize the doll. In my mind, I know what to do, I can see all the steps I need to take to win.

I opened my eyes and began to practice swinging hard and fast. However, I know that this body does not follow what I want.

I trained for a few hours until this body was full of sweat. I sat down by the tree and closed my eyes.

When I opened my eyes again, I was surprised to see a little girl looking at me right in front of my face. I jumped back and hit my head against the tree behind me.

"Are you okay?" said the girl in a worried voice.

"What are you doing!" I said while rubbing my painful head.

I looked towards the girl, she was the same age as me. Wearing a small red dress with a basket in her hand. She has blond hair and blue eyes with hair down to the waist.

He pointed towards the village.

"It was late and the sun was beginning to set. I think it's better if we go in now, when I'm thinking of waking you up, you suddenly open your eyes." He said with a smile.

I looked up at the sky and the sun was setting. I must have fallen asleep unconsciously.

"How did you know I was here?" Ray asked.

"Whatchu mean? I've been here the whole time."

Seeing that I was confused, he pointed to the other side of the tree to where I was. I started to feel embarrassed. The girl started laughing.

"My name is Ray"

He smiled at me again.

"I know you're quite famous around the village"

I know what he means, almost everyone knows me here. I am the only son of two adventures in the village. That's not why, they especially know me because of my red hair. The cursed Talen Family.

As I started walking with Amy down the hill, a group of boys appeared in front of us. One of the boys looked similar to Amy, almost identical apart from her short hair and the clothes she was wearing.

"Stay away from my brother" the boy shouted.

He was walking towards me and Amy and then he jumped between us.

"He didn't do anything to me Gary"

Gary was checking to see if Amy was okay looking all over her body, even checking if her hair color had changed. "If I see you near my sister again, you'll die."

Two other boys next to Garry chimed in. "Please help us all and leave this village."

"The Cursed Child"

"You, your mother and father should leave the village as well, for having someone cursed like you"

Blood started rushing into my head, I could feel anger growing inside me. I'm fine with self-deprecation, but my mother and father what they've done. They themselves did nothing but protect the village for many years. This idiot is in front of me.

I ran towards the boy who said those words, ready to punch his ugly face. I threw a punch to his face, he had no time to react. My fist has been stopped by Gary. He originally took out one hand to stop my attack, but his strength was stronger than he had thought, and raised his other hand to withstand the blow and stop it from falling.

"Why are you blocking my way!" I'm yelling.

"If you want to fight someone then fight me" said Garry.

"I don't care, I'll take you all!"

I raised both of my fists ready to fight.

(Don't forget like her sister)
