The Reincarnation of the Red Dragon

The Reincarnation of the Red Dragon
26. Sylvia Heart's

As soon as the sun began to rise, one of the guards woke up and started ringing a bell to wake the other. The sound of the bells sounded terrible in my ear.

On the other hand Gary was still asleep like a baby. I kicked him in the stomach so that he finally snapped and immediately woke up.

The students were asked to clean up the remains of an overnight campfire, tents and supplies for our trip and put them in the train cars. Thirty minutes later we finished everything and we went on our way again.

Some of the students on the train complained about their situation.

"Did the Avrion academy not have teleporters? Wouldn't it be better to use a teleporter than to travel by train?."

"Yes, Roland's academy has it, isn't Avrion's academy and Roland's academy considered equal, yet they can't afford a teleporter"

A girl sitting at the back of the carriage started to feel displeased, as she grew increasingly upset by what the two students said.

Until he could not stand it anymore and stood up.

"Did you two not learn anything? The Avrion Academy was placed at the forefront of the battlefield against the shadow beasts. What would happen if war broke out and we lost Avrion?"

The two students were looking at him with blank stares on their faces, they did not understand the purpose points of the remark.

"That means if the Avrion is defeated then it is tantamount to giving the enemy access to teleporte, allowing them to move anywhere in this kingdom."

He sat down and started muttering about the two boys which annoyed him.

I know the girl well, her name is Slyvia Heart. He had long silver hair that would reach his waist. With a symmetrical face with a body to be proud of. By human standards, I think she'll be considered beautiful.

That's not why I recognized him. At Renny's school every semester they would post our test results. At all times his name would be at the top of that list. I was thinking maybe all the students at Renny's school recognized him.

A few hours later the train stopped again. Gave a signal that we would make camp and spend the night here. This time luckily we had stopped at an abandoned castle.

We went to the castle's dining room and decided to sleep here tonight. Each of their carriages made its own group, led by one of the knights.

As we entered the dining room, the students looked inside with curiosity. Inside the castle looks like ruins with cracks in the walls and fragments of rocks scattered everywhere.

"What's going on here?" gary said loudly.

The knight who was with us started explaining.

"This is one of the results of our battle with the Gala kingdom, maybe we would still be fighting today if not for the shadow beast matter."

"What do you mean?" ask Gary.

Slyvia could not help herself and immediately explained.

"The surrounding kingdoms have signed a truce, once we learn of the problems caused by the shadow beast. Even though it's only temporary, we have agreed to cooperate against the enemy for now."

This time the guards were placed on top of one of the castle towers, This allowed the guards to have a wide vision to warn us if any enemies came.

There is no need to use the dragon eye skill tonight. I took advantage of the closest gap in the wall and started to exit through it. After coming out I will go to the nearby forest to hunt wild beasts. As I stepped out of one of the slits, I felt someone pull up my sleeve.

"Where are you going these nights?"

Slyvia held onto my sleeve.

"To hunt wild beasts" I felt to not keep it a secret. I thought this was my own choice, I might be a student of Avrion Academy but it was only in a name that in the end I was the one who would determine my own path.

"Are you crazy! You might be able to defeat a basic level ferocious beast but what would you do if you were to meet a mid-level ferocious beast, the knights might not be able to save you." Sylvia's eyes opened wide in surprise.

"Don't worry I've beaten some." With that, I twisted my body making Slyvia's grip detach from my sleeve. I immediately ran towards the nearby forest.

After entering the forest I sensed that I was still in the Fanged Boars territory. I called my pet and a moment after that came out Black Wolf. He was still the same size as before the size of an ordinary little wolf child.

I'm happy that we're still in the fanged boars territory because I think they'll be a great opponent for Noir because the wolves are focusing on speed which is the wild boar's weak point.

We found fanged boars alone. I ordered Noir to attack the fanged boars, my hand holding the sword hilt preparing to help if anything went wrong.

The Fanged Boars were double the size of Noir but that was not a problem for Noir as he focused on his speed. Noir bit the fanged boars a few times to slow his movements and ended his life by biting his neck.

The message came up and I started to smile. This is good news which means that I do not need to kill the beast to obtain the crystal stone. Noir's murder will also count as mine.

This is one of the reasons why I want Noir to fight in my place. I need to gain more knowledge about how the system works.

I fed Noir with crystal stones and he got 8 points so that the total points Noir had became 13. We continued hunting in the forest together only targeting fanged boars that were alone. I wanted to see if the crystal had increased Noir's strength like I had experienced.

Each crystal was absorbed by Noir, it made it easier to beat the fanged boar. After a while, the fanged boar stopped dropping the crystal stones just like the black wolf and crazy monkeys did in the black forest.

Noir points now total 32. My theory was successful after doing experiments and I returned to the camp after not getting anything from hunting fanged boars.
