The test had been postponed for a while, Wilfred went to discuss about what had happened with the elders. While we waited, the other students kept talking about me. This was the opposite of what I expected, I always wanted to avoid being the center of attention, now that I was the center of attention.
"Did you always want to be the center of attention?" gary said as he embraced me.
"This is not what I want."
"The first time you made trouble with Lancy, and now you're causing the witch to suffer."
Wilfred had returned after finishing talking to the elders and started talking to the students.
"It seems that the magician has suffered a deviation of mana, the disciple who was being tested at that time, he will receive the lowest score. Even though he received the lowest score he had passed this exam. Luck is also a real factor in this world."
The students whispered back.
"Does this mean he only scored in the second half?"
"Red hair must be very unlucky, it looks like the curse is indeed true."
"It looks like the holy witch has destined it as just a red sash."
The students started to proceed to the next test, but before that I had questions that always bothered my mind.
"What is a Deviation?" I asked Gary.
"I really don't know, but I know someone who might know." Gary started jumping among the crowd of students and waved at Slyvia.
"Slyvia, here I have a question!"
Slyvia joined us on the way to the next testing facility. He seemed a little frustrated.
"Why is it that every time you have a question, you always come and ask me?"
"We really don't know anyone here, Ray and I have always been stuck in the same condition since being in Ranny's town, but all I know is that you've always been ranked first in school."
Actually Gary had many opportunities to make friends with other students in the city of Ranny. Whenever they invited Gary out to do something, Gary would always ask if he could take me along. Their answer was no and they started to stay away from Gary. We have been considered to be outsiders to the entire school.
"Alright, I don't think you'll ever know because it's a symptom that's on witches. Mana deviation is a symptom when a magician uses all of their mana, they try to cross its boundaries so as to cause all sorts of symptoms on which."
This is the reason they use. I admit it's a pretty clever excuse to blame which deviation.
The witch had tested over 300 students and had always cast illusory spells. So that is the reason that most students can accept.
Slyvia then looked towards Gary and pointed her finger at him.
"I won't lose to you." He said as he walked quickly to the next test site.
"Something seems to have a rival" I told Garry.
We arrived at the third testing site which turned out to be empty. There was only a Knight master dressed all in black. He had light equipment and carried four daggers on his waist. A scarf covered part of his mouth so that only his eyes were visible.
"This test is called The Silent Knight, for this test I want you to pay close attention and try to imitate all my steps. I'll only show it once."
The knight started to move with a very strange and swift movement. I found it difficult to track his movements. As he moved from one area to another it only looked like a shadow.
All the students gulped in amazement. Amh doubts most of them can't even follow his movements, how can we imitate him.
Many students tried to simulate what a knight master had done but nothing worked. Not even Gary and Slyvia could.
I could see the knight shaking his head in disappointment at everyone. I also tried it well but the result was the same as the others, it was not my talent to move like that.
At the end of the examination, there were only two students who seemed to be approved by that knight. One of them is Monk. Although Monk did not do well on the other exams, it seemed like he had discovered his talent.
At the fourth test site, it was quite clear what would happen just by looking at the location of the test. In front of him was an empty house. This house has many archery targets in different places. On the roof, in the small windows, and much more.
This time a female knight stepped forward. He had a tall slender figure with long silver-colored hair. All the male students were stunned and could not help but keep staring at him.
The knight quickly kept them all quiet as he shot an arrow that scratched one of the students cheeks.
"This test is called The Eye Of Accuracy, the goal is to hit as many targets as you can and as fast as you can.
The closer you get to the center of the target, the more points you get. You have to judge whether speed or accuracy is more important."
I was quite excited for the test this time because the dragon eye skill would show me hidden targets easily, although I had never used a bow before, it didn't seem too difficult.
Ian watched the test as usual, Slyvia and Gary did well, they were the second best of the students named Martha Woodlock. Somehow the name feels familiar, even the appearance is familiar.
She was dressed all in green and had long brown hair. I can't remember where I've seen this guy before.
Now it's my turn. I climbed up and grabbed a bow on the table before heading to the test stand. You stand where we marked X before you start shooting. Before the knight master said start, I activated my dragon eye skill.
I could see all the targets clearly and find the best order to attack them one by one.
"Start!!" He yelled.
I took the arrow and pulled the rope on the bow as hard as I could.
Crashhh
A voice rang out and the arrow fell down. The rope on the bow has broken. I looked towards the knight wondering inwardly "what would happen in a situation like this."
"Luck is also part of the test" said the female knight.
I got back down from the test platform after getting a zero.
