The Reincarnation of the Red Dragon

The Reincarnation of the Red Dragon
44. Rioting

The broken wooden sword had made his weapon sharp. It was no longer the blunt wood we used for training, but a real weapon now. When the wooden dagger almost reached Gary's neck. A hand grabbing the knife stopped him inches from Gary's neck.

That's my hand.

I don't know when it happened, I was watching on the sidelines like everyone else. As the fight entered its final moments, so I decided to activate the dragon eye skill.

I could see the flow of Monk energy, after ten minutes the energy got smaller and weaker, but when the sword broke and when everyone thought the match was over, it was over, the moment he wanted to take out the broken sword piece his energy suddenly doubled in size as a last-ditch effort to win the match.

That's when my body started moving on its own. Suddenly I was right in the middle of Monk and Gary, I reached out my hand and grabbed a wooden sword that looked like a dagger that was already a few inches from Gary's neck.

The three of us froze in place for a moment, the crowd fell silent. A few seconds later they were cheering.

The monk removed his grip from the weapon and began to bow in front of me and Gary.

"I'm sorry, I don't know what's gotten into me."

Monk didn't know that I was thinking the same thing. At first I will let whatever happens when they fight. That will be a lesson for both of them in the future.

Then the Monk quickly used his skills to leave the field quietly passing through the crowd. Gary just stood still, trying to understand what had just happened.

The crowd started talking amongst themselves.

"So who won the fight?"

"I'm not sure, that red-haired pesky kid came in when Gary was about to win the game."

"What are you talking about? Surely the monk will win."

The crowd then began to argue about who won the fight. Some believe that Gary won, while others supported the monk. But in the end, the anger and hatred among the crowd started to lead to one person. The one who stopped the fight.

"Why should the redhead get involved?"

"Maybe he doesn't want to lose all his money?"

Kyle saw the crowd starting to rouse ahead of the game, stepping into the middle of the field.

"Hi friends, sorry to say but due to the involvement of third party members, the matches between the ranks have been cancelled. So don't worry you'll all get your money back."

I don't know if Kyle did this intentionally or not. But his words only made people direct their anger towards me. It seemed like he was doing that just to save himself.

It is impossible to avoid everything. So I let those things hit me while walking away from the crowd. While walking I memorized the face of everyone who threw something at me. I planned to take revenge on them all one by one.

Slyvia stood on the sidelines watching the fight carefully like everyone else. When he saw the monk pick up a broken wooden sword, he knew Gary was in trouble. Just as he was about to shout Ray had already appeared in front of them stopping the monk's weapon with his bare hands.

Slyvia could not believe seeing that sight. He dared to swear that Ray was by his side just a moment ago. And even before he could say his words, Ray had already moved and stopped the weapon held by the monk.

"Did you see when Ray walked there?" ask Slyvia.

"No, I was too focused on fighting monks and Gary, Ray must have been there from the start of the game" Dan said.

Many students think the same as Dan, while they are focused on the match, they do not know that Ray approaches Monk and Gary with very fast movements, ready to stop the fight at any time.

It's hard to believe that anyone can move that fast from the sidelines.

Slyvia can see that the crowd started attacking Ray for interfering during the match. They had no idea that the attack by the monk was so deadly that Gary could not avoid it in time. There were only a few people watching the fight who understood what had happened.

Slyvia goes and grabs Kyle's arm seeing the students have started to get out of control.

"Kyle you have to do something before there's a riot. It's your fault in the first place if you don't turn this game into a stupid betting spot."

"I know, I'm gonna go over there and explain everything."

Kyle was currently trying to turn their attention towards him.

"Hey, friends, sorry to say it, but due to the involvement of third-party members, the matches between the ranks have been cancelled. So don't worry you'll all get your money back."

All of them still venting their anger at Ray, Kyle quickly went back to hiding among the crowd.

Then out of nowhere, an object was thrown at Ray. Then everyone seemed to follow throwing objects at Ray.

Slyvia, Ian, Dan, and Martha did their best to try to calm the rioting crowd but no one listened. They then begin to help hold back some of the objects that will hit Ray and make themselves hurt.

When Slyvia turned to look at Ray to see if he was okay, she could see the expression on his face that frightened her. Ray's eyes seemed to glow a golden yellow, as he continued walking away from the crowd.

Ray paid no attention to his roommate's involvement, as he focused on everyone who threw something at him that day.
