After six months of training, not much had changed in terms of rankings between students. Gary was still ranked 1st while rank 2 was held by men from other schools.
I didn't pay much attention to it because I didn't really care about the rankings. The only reason why I know this is because Kyle is obsessed with them and keeps talking about it.
He's like a walking notice board. Every time after we completed the black knight special training, he would inform us of the latest situation of the Avrion academy.
We have just finished our training session and are resting at the accommodation in the mansion. It had become a routine for us to chat before we returned to the dorm. We each sat in a seat that was available.
"Do you know Slyvia just beat Peter for third, everyone's talking about what if Sylvia challenges Gary. Will our King turn into queen." Kyle said with sparkling eyes.
"I'm not too worried, there's only one person who can beat me here." Gary replied with a flat face while looking at me followed by Kyle, luckily no one noticed and even if anyone noticed it, I guess they wouldn't take it seriously.
My current ranking rose from 300 to 280, I decided to fight students using the black knight skill I had learned. The students found it difficult to deal with the black knight skill, it was very difficult to use the black knight skill to the maximum as most of those skills were used to hide and kill.
After testing the new skills I learned, I began to focus on mastering my strength.
I'll just expend a little of my strength and succumb while in the fight, arguably helping the students to raise the ranks. This is a very tiring thing to do but it will greatly help me to improve my power control.
"I wish I could stay in a dormitory dubbed monster dorm, most of the top 10 rankers are here. Gary ranked first, Slyvia second, and Ian fifth, even Dan and Martha had good ranks despite not being white knights, even monks managed to enter the 50th rank."
The monk began to blush a little due to the praise given.
"It's all thanks to the special training we've been doing."
"That useless trash skill, I haven't even used it yet and it's still ranked first" Gary said.
Gary was still reluctant to use the skills we had learned, he just couldn't master them and eventually gave up using them.
"It's not useless, just because you're bad at it doesn't make it useless." The monk now stood up and looked at Gary's face.
I've never seen a bikau become like this before, because he has a stronger will than anyone in terms of training. It was as if he had become a completely different person after training.
Kyle stood up and mediated the two of them.
"Calm the two of you, we are all fellow knights of the black sash so we must stick together."
Gary went to pick up the sash around his neck and throw it on the floor.
"This useless thing I don't even need."
While the monk changed for the better after getting a black sash, Gary was the opposite. Every day he seems to be getting more frustrated in his training run, maybe he has reached his boiling point.
"Take it," said the monk in a heavy tone.
Monk looked angry at what Gary had just done.
"No going" Gary replied now pushing Kyle's hand.
"Ray, can you help here, I don't think I can hold them back anymore.
I've been sitting in my bed all the time and don't want to get involved. After all, it's their business to let them finish it. The debate there bothered me a lot, so I gave a simple suggestion.
"Why don't the two of you fight with rank alone?"
Kyle's eyeballs looked like they were going out of his head as if I had just given bad advice.
"Alright, tomorrow after finishing doing the basic training, we'll duel well and see if your black knight skills are as good as you say."
Kyle only shook his head at what had just happened after the monk and Gary returned to their dormitory.
"Why did you say that?" kyle said to approach me.
"Have you forgotten that you all live together, what would you do if they kept fighting in your room."
"If they keep doing that, I'll step in and teach them a lesson."
Kyle laughed thinking about it.
"I know we're both black knights but me and you are like the earth and sky when compared to them, I'm rank 160, and you're even lower than me, how can you stop them both."
I just left and went back to the dorm, I didn't want to bother giving Kyle an answer because he wouldn't believe me.
I went back to the room after Gary and the monk. Upon entering the room the atmosphere seemed so tense between the two of them, the two of them simply fell silent without doing anything else.
Sylvia came towards me.
"What happened to the two of them, they've been like this since they entered the room?"
"They fought." I don't want to explain so much, it's not my place to explain anything.
Just then Dan came barging into the room excitedly.
"Is it true Monk and Gary will fight tomorrow!?" word Dan.
The whole room was shocked by what they heard. It was not normal for someone of high rank to receive a match with someone who was several ranks below them unless they had a personal grudge.
This fight was between two people we all knew well.
"From the looks of it, I think your heads have been damaged doing all this" Sylvia said.
A few seconds later it seemed like the entire school was talking about the upcoming fight between Gary and the monk and I could only guess who spread the news so quickly, who else if not Kyle.
