I had fought with the puppet until I forgot how many times it had been. It seems that I have reached the limit of what I can do with this new fighting style, if it continues it will only be a waste of time.
I will still continue my training but I have decided to do it outside. I prefer the outdoors and the fresh air compared to the old barn house.
I decided to go to my usual place, the hill on the edge of town. For some reason, I look forward to going there every day now. When I got to the top of the hill I was ready to be greeted by Amy.
This is a routine we used to do. I smiled broadly and was ready to tell Amy that I had defeated the training doll, but after I got there I saw no one there.
"Have I come at the wrong time?" I'm sure Amy's usually here. I was thinking maybe something was going on and waiting for him maybe he would come later.
I continue the exercises I normally do by pushing the limits of this body, trying to be faster and increase this stamina.
I've become a training-addicted lunatic. It seems like I enjoyed it more, now I know that I can make some progress.
It's been a few hours and there's still no sign of Amy. I suddenly felt this strange feeling, I had no idea what it was.
I'm used to talking to Amy every day and I can't wait to tell her the good news. I haven't had any friends to talk to in years besides Emy.
"That feeling must have been because I was tired from training". Ray murmured in his mind.
I sat by the tree with my head leaning there. I closed my eyes to rest. I woke up a few hours later hoping that when I opened my eyes, Amy would be there. Just like the first day we met, but there was no one there.
I descended the hill and returned to the village as the sun began to set, the day was getting late. When I arrived at the village, many people were gossiping with anxious faces.
"Have you heard what happened"
"Someone has to go out and look for them"
"They are very young"
As I got closer to the city center, I could see a group of adults pleading with the townspeople to help.
"Please let me know if anyone saw it."
I didn't recognize most of the adults who asked for help, but two of them looked like Amy and Gary. Are they missing? is this why Amy didn't show up today.
An old-looking man walked out from the crowd.
"The last time I saw them, they were in my shop buying some new weapons today."
Then I remembered it. I remember Amy talking about her sister.
Gary had been talking about going to the forest to hunt some animals. Amy tried to convince him. Inside the forest were basic level beasts which meant anyone with some sword skills would be safe.
Although the forest was safe, there was always a possibility that a high-level beast would be there. Although rare, the standard rule is that you should not enter the forest unless accompanied by guards or adventurers.
The fact that Gary had bought new equipment meant that he was preparing something, there was a high chance that he and his friends were leaving today.
The parents of the children had no one to call for help. My father is still on the mission he received from the kingdom and my mother went to the city and has not returned. The town had many guards but they patrolled the village border and were not allowed to leave their posts.
Although I hate Gary and his friends, Amy has always been nice to me. I look forward to talking to him every day.
Still, they were human, which made me suffer. They deserve this, right? It's just karma for what they did to me.
As my thoughts went back and forth between whether to help them or not, I remembered another event.
"I remember, I promised to tell Amy when I had defeated the doll. I had to find him and tell him that I had defeated the doll."
I rushed into the forest as quickly as possible, hoping I wasn't late.
(Like and his support don't forget)
