I woke up because the sound of two metal objects clashing against each other was heard throughout the mansion. It bothers me a lot because my hearing is more sensitive than anyone else's.
Joe was standing at the door banging two metal pots, it seemed like a traditional way to wake up new students.
"Can you wake us up in a more mundane way" complained Gary.
We immediately got out of bed and put on standard school uniforms, lined up in front of Joe. Joe looked at us one by one and checked everything like the order in the fixtures and belts.
"Good, you guys are starting to look like real knights now, unfortunately, I have some bad news. Training has been cancelled for today and will begin tomorrow. Emergency meetings have been held among the main knights. You are free to use your time as you wish."
"Can I go outside?" Ray asked.
"Unfortunately not, until you learn the basics in the Avrion academy, you are not allowed to leave the city. Please visit the library or even the church to get the blessings of the holy witch."
Joe saluted us before leaving.
"What are you going to do now, Ray?" ask Gary.
"I'm thinking of going to the library, what about you?."
I want to go find new information about dragon knights and holy witches. Maybe it'll give me an idea of what's inside that tomb. Although I could go plundering the grave, it was something I did not want to do on my first day here.
"It sounds boring, I'm going to the training ground, maybe there are some people who will compete with me."
The monk had decided to return to the dormitory and catch up with the others, while Kyle went with Gary to the training ground. I'm glad they left me here alone.
The library is a magnificent place like any other building in the Avrion academy. It takes a lifetime to read all these books.
I decided to check the information about the dragon knight. Of course, there were many books on dragon knights as they were the founders of the Avrion academy.
I skimmed through some of the books I randomly selected, most of them talking about how the five knights gathered to protect the kingdom from the Shadow Beast.
It is believed that shadow beasts come from different continents. When it came to the southern continent it started to take over the land quickly. A truce was made between the kingdom and the dragon knights managed to hold back the shadow beast. It was about fifty years ago and there has been no activity from the shadow beast since.
Although I learned a little about the past here, I did not find any information about their weapons or armor. This is the information I was looking for. Until I found a book called "The truth about dragon knights."
This book is different from the others, as it does not speak of great events or stories of dragon knights. This book tells about their personalities and the weapons they use, this book is the book I've been looking for all along.
I went to sit at a table near the library and studied the book more deeply. Then I read something that interested me.
That magic was not the standard magic known throughout the land, but the magic possessed at the time of the long-lost dragon age. It is said that although many people thought they were named after dragon knights because of the armor and weapons they wore, it was actually due to the skills they used in battle.
Unfortunately, the book had no other useful information in it and did not explain in detail about their abilities.
I flipped the book over to see the author's name "Lenny Steel."
"Lenny Steel, a writer known for exaggerating the past." A voice said coming from my right.
I looked at the chair next to me and to my surprise it was Slyvia. I focused too much on the book and didn't notice who was sitting next to me. I don't know how long he's been there.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"Lenny Steel, he used to be a knight in Avrion's academy a long time ago, but then he quit and became a writer for a living."
"Is this man still alive?" If I can find this person then he will probably be able to answer my question about the dragon knights.
"He stopped writing books a long time ago so I'm not sure, but maybe Wilfred knows more information about him."
"Do you know if he's writing a book about a holy witch?"
It was hard to find a book about the holy witch. It was taboo for people to write about it so all the stories were quite common.
"Even if he did, I wouldn't use it as a credible source, although his books are interesting theories and ideas to read, his books are categorized by many as fantasy fairy tales. If you want to know some information, you can always ask me."
"Do you know why the holy witch is so revered, even in the city of Avrion. As I was walking around, I heard many people say the phrase "Bless the holy witch." There are many churches and temples that dedicate themselves to holy witches.
"Actually what they called a holy magician was the one who gave the dragon knights power, it was also what guided them to create the Avrion academy to warn them about the shadow beast."
"Is there a way to meet a holy witch?"
If there was a chance to see it, maybe I could ask why I turned into a human.
"Holy magicians were said to be in the capital of Alure near the Roland academy, but they didn't allow anyone to see them."
I was hoping that my trip to the library would be able to answer the questions I had but instead, it gave me more questions.
I chatted with Slyvia for a while longer to ask her more questions but the information Sylvia had was limited, in the end we returned to the dorm together to rest for the next day.
