The Reincarnation of the Red Dragon

The Reincarnation of the Red Dragon
51. You're Not a Monster

The fight has ended and the ranking position is updated. Communicator Ray now displays number two.

Sebastion could not stand it anymore, blood dripped from every part of his body, his face was broken so unrecognizable, his lips chapped, his ears torn and his once white belt now turned red.

With the fight now over. Ray quickly fled the scene. Using the black knight skill, it was easy for him to disappear from the crowd in order to be unable to be followed by anyone.

Ray's roommate was still shocked by the sight they had just seen. Even Slyvia and Ian who doubted Ray became very surprised. They know he is strong but he is on a different level. It was as if a master knight was giving a lesson to a student.

"Well, the black knight skill is too powerful, how can we stop such an attack," Dan said.

The monk replayed the scene in his head as Ray used the Phantom attack.

"No, none of us can do what he just did."

"Has he been hiding his power from us all this time?" ask Kyle.

"Wait, does this mean now that Ray and Gary will be fighting for the number one spot!" scream Dan.

The people around them heard what Dan was talking about, they started to move closer towards the group and hoped to listen to some gossip.

Gary tried to wave at the people around him and said.

“He's beaten me before, no need for a second fight, I know I have no chance of winning.

Gary's words had shocked the people around him, they were wondering when the two of them were fighting, it should be before they were given their rank communicators.

Gary's words were more like confirmation to them, they had seen how easily Ray beat Sebastion. Although no one would say Gary was weaker than Sebastion, but he would never be able to bully Sebastion in the same way as Ray did.

News spread quickly around the school. On one of the top floors in the central building of the Avrion academy, the main knights had gathered for a meeting.

"He must be put to death" cried Delbert as he slammed his fist against the table.

"You let the blood ties push your emotions, you have to think like a knight and not a father. The boy didn't break the rules" said Mr. K.

"Whether you look at my son's condition, his face will be broken for weeks, no normal child can torture someone this bad, he's as evil as "Sen" himself."

Rose supports Delbert.

"I agree, he can be a royal destroyer as foretold."

"May I remind you that the prophecy also states that a red-haired boy will be our savior, trying to kill or drive them away will probably be a catastrophe for all of us."

We will vote, those who support the boy's expulsion raise their hands" Wilfred suggested.

Delbert and Rose raised their hands while the knights Bernardo and lord K lowered their hands.

"I think I have a decisive voice, that boy will remain in the Avrion academy, there will be no punishment for that boy."

Delbert slammed the table in response but said nothing. He knew there was nothing he could do to overturn that decision, even he respected the rules of the Avrion Academy.

A thought suddenly popped into Delbert's mind, if he couldn't do anything to hurt the boy, then someone else might be able to do it.

*****

Tonight was a tiring day. When Ray returns to his room, Ian and Dan can't help but ask Ray all sorts of questions.

Ray simply tells them that Ray never likes to be the center of attention and prefers to stay low. The Phantom attack is a black knight's secret so I can't tell them.

The monk comes to Ray and thanks him, Ray is not sure what he is grateful for.

Is it because Ray has been avenging for him, or because Ray stopped attacking Sebastion.

When he asked Ray? The whole situation confused him.

Ray climbed onto the roof of the building as usual. It was a place to relax when Ray had some free time. As Ray was looking at the night sky Ray heard the sound of a door closing behind him. When Ray turned around he saw Slyvia there.

"I thought you'd be up here." Sylvia says.

"I can think better here."

Slyvia came and stood right next to Ray to see the scenery. Ray never found a beautiful human with his silver hair blown by the wind, he looked special compared to the other girls.

"You're thinking of a monk, right? why did he ask you to stop?"

"How do you know?"

"Ray, you're weird, do you know that? You are not good at talking to people, as if you do not understand human emotions. You don't understand why we are sad or happy. I get confused when I see you always look like a very angry person, I don't know what you're angry about. When I see you like that, I want to help you."

Ray looked into Slyvia's eyes.

"Are you afraid of me Slyvia?"

It took a while for him to answer.

"Sometimes, but I don't think you're a bad person."

Ray then activated his dragon eye skill. Slyvia leapt back in reaction.

"Your eyes are..."

When Ray activated his dragon eye skill during the day it looked normal but at night it would turn bright yellow. Ray knew not to show this to humans, because they would react like fear. People hate those who are different from them.

Slyvia stepped closer towards me.

"Those eyes are so beautiful, Ray, they're perfect for you."

He then started walking towards the exit of the roof, just as he opened the door he said one last word.

"You're not a monster, Ray."

Humans are hard to understand. When Ray thinks that he is starting to understand her, there are cases where they do not live up to Ray's expectations.

Gary had saved me when I was young, Monk thought of me as family and Slyvia was not afraid of me.

As Ray lets his mind flow, Ray hears the door open again. Ray turns around hoping to see Slyvia back for some reason.

Instead, a tall, silver-haired man whom I had never seen standing there walked towards me.

"You're right Ray, I'm here to teach you a lesson."
