32. six Elders

After we finished getting ready, we walked to the dining room. When we entered the hall, our eyes were mesmerized by the sight before us. The hall was as luxurious as the other buildings. The dining room was so large, it felt like it could accommodate all the Avrion academy within it.

The dining room has been divided into six different sections similar to our dormitory. Each section has a small flag with the name of our school on it. We went to the flag that read Renny city, our table is located very far away. Each table contains eight people according to the condition of the members in each dormitory, each seat has our name behind it.

The members from the city of Renny were the first to enter the dining room. We all followed the knight in front of us who led us to our seats. As we sat down, everyone in the room was silent. Nervous of upcoming judgments, or perhaps holding back their excitement.

As we sat and waited patiently, other schools began to enter. The moment they entered the room, eyes were on Renny's city. They kept staring at those with red hair. It was strange to see people with red hair here, there were about five people who had red hair in the Avrion academy.

"Look over there."

"How could they allow something like this."

"I'm glad they didn't come from our school, otherwise who knows what will happen to our school."

Ian who was sitting at our table took his eyes off their gaze. I can see this is making Ian very upset. When I wanted to comfort Ian as a red-haired fellow. Ian had already comforted me.

I decided to deal with the abuse they did in my own way. I have parents who care about me. Whereas Ian didn't have any of that, even so, he looked like a friendly giant that wouldn't hurt a fly.

I put my hand on Ian's back and said words of comfort.

"Don't worry if anyone messes with us, I'll make them wish they were never born."

I thought my words would make Ian look better, instead, Ian looked even more frightened.

"Eh, thank you Ray."

Gary looked at me and just shook his head.

All dining tables in the dining room face the front of the room like a classroom position, where there is a stage with six large chairs on it. The chairs were carved with beautiful details. To the left and right of the stage were large wooden doors.

From the two exits the staff dressed in white uniforms. Pushing along the table full of food. The food was delivered to the table and we started eating. Other than me and Gary, most of the other students did not have a high appetite.

"It's free food" Gary said with his mouth full.

We continued eating and when we finished the staff cleaned up the leftovers on the table.

The students now sat patiently waiting for what would happen next. Suddenly the door opened wide and three knights came out.They were Wilfred, Barbados and Delbert, the three knights who drove me and Gary to the city of Renny.

As they logged in, a chat began among the students.

"That's three Knight masters."

"I want to be as skilled as Delbert"

"I wish I could see their skills firsthand."

The three of them stood in the middle of the stage, Wilfred stepped forward to give his speech.

"I welcome all the new students of Avrion Academy, today will be the day where you will face the assessment of becoming knights. Valuation had been used to determine the rank of knights since the beginning of the Avrion academy. There will be a total of five assessments. The gem of truth, The hell of fire, The silent night, The eye of accuracy and the will of truth.

Each assessment will be monitored by a knight master like the three of us. Please do not be discouraged by the rank you have obtained, even for a red sling knight one day to be in our position. We know you have the potential to become stronger when you take the exam later. I wish you all success in the assessment."

After the end of Wilfred's speech, the room exploded into a huge roar of energy. Everyone cheered at the thought that they could achieve their dreams. Being a knight master was the goal of all of them.

After Wilfred finished his speech, he moved towards the door. After opening the door, he bowed to the people who were about to enter. The six elders on the side were knights wearing black robes. It is difficult to know their age, as they use Ki to change appearance, but their visual appearance is around sixties.

I felt a very strong presence coming from them, I activated my dragon eyes to take a closer look. A white aura was seen shining from each of the elders. The last time I saw something like this was when I was defeated by a witch while I was still a dragon, right before I reincarnated into a human.

Somehow their auras made my body shiver. The six elders sat on the large chair behind them. The elders did not say anything and just sat on the chairs while looking at the students in front of them. Each elder had a Knight in black armor standing beside them, like people standing outside a red door.

Delbert came to the front of the stage and introduced the elders. He explained that they were the current head of the Avrion Academy. After the speech was over, the knight masters came to each table. They started escorting us to the training ground where the tests would be carried out.
