19. Sorry

The knights had stopped to make camp. They chose a place close to the corn field. The workers at the back of the train quickly got out of their seats and started working. Make a campfire and set up a tent for the night.

Two camps have been set up, one for the workers at the back of the train, the other for the knights including me and Gary.

The knights formed a group around one of the camps. I am now together with Gary sitting on a wooden block, still in a quiet situation it is difficult to speak.

The three knights were fighting and joking with each other. The problem is with Knight Delbert, he often glances at me and Gary, I know his intentions are not good.

I was getting sick until I expressed my thoughts.

"Do you love me knight Delbert? I have to remind you that I'm just an immature boy" I said cynically.

Knight Delbert's face turned red with anger.

"A proud boy like you needs to learn his place!" He screamed when he came towards me.

As I was getting ready to block his attack, I suddenly found myself lying on the ground under his feet. I don't even see how or what happened.

"Let the young man go" said Barnardo.

"Have you not heard what the farmer said to me?"

"Yes, it's because you're always staring at them cynically"

Delbert lifted his foot off my chest and sat back down with the other two knights.

My heart was pounding with the adrenaline that had entered my body. He just moved too fast that I couldn't see his movements, he got off his chair and the next moment he kicked me to the ground.

"Why are we making campfires?" ask gary

"Wouldn't that lure the beasts here?"

"A knowledgeable boy" Winfred replied.

"Although that might be true for a savage beast, but a shadow beast is different."

"Shadow animal?" I answered

I was curious about the shadow beast because at the time I became a dragon there was no such thing.

"Children don't even know about shadow beasts, what's the point of them doing education" Delbert lamented.

Wilfred took out his sword and started drawing maps on the ground.

“Shadow beast outbreak started from the northern continent, It quickly spread and took over the surrounding kingdoms. Fortunately the kingdom of Alur was in the east and managed to stay safe for many years.

Avrion Academy was on the border between the two. Although there had not been any activity in a few years, but from time to time the shadowy beasts would start roaming around. ”

"When did this all start?" Ray asked.

"You'll know more when we get to Renny's town."

Gary suddenly stood up.

Delbert started laughing.

"Don't be stupid, look at yourself, you two are just kids. What's the point of sending you to the front lines? If war breaks out, you will be useless even as a meat shield,"

Wilfred went to clear his mind, it seemed like it was a sign for Delbert to stop talking.

"Renny City is the place where we send all the new recruits, you will be educated there for Ten years until you reach the age of 15. The goal is to focus on education and training basic fitness skills. Only then can you come to attend Avrion Academy and focus on sword skills."

I'm a little sad to know this, but what they say makes sense. I decided that I would take this opportunity to learn about this world.

All knowledge is the key for me to know about this world. There are many things I need to find out and maybe this will give me an answer.

After that, the conversation calmed down a bit and then Bernado told us to go to bed immediately. I shared a tent with Gary. We were both lying on the ground and just as I was about to close my eyes, I heard Gary say something.

"I'm sorry" Gary said.

"For what?"

"For everything I did to you in the village, about name-calling and throwing you new. I know I'm like a fool,"

"That which has passed, let it pass, do not blame yourself too much" I said with a smile on my face.

"Amy says you're a good man, but I don't trust him. Then when you saved us that day, you could've left us but you didn't do that, so thank you" Gary said, bowing his head.

"Don't forget you also saved me from that crazy woman. No one is against it except you, a fearless five-year-old boy standing in front of him."

"Are we not the same age?" garry was confused.

"Ha, ha, ha Ya," I said with a nervous laugh.

"If someone bothers you, you can count on me" Gary said with a big smile on his face.

"Don't worry too much, the curse of Red Dragon Sen will do the job for me."

Gary's facial expression changed, he tried to keep smiling but I could see he was a little frightened by my words.

I gave her a thumbs up in response and quickly went to bed.

I was surprised by what Gary said. I didn't expect someone so stubborn to come and apologize.

In return, Gary won't be on my revenge list, but I'm afraid we can't be friends because my goals are different from yours.

We have lived in two different worlds and I will not be able to forgive people easily for what they have done to me.

What I learned in my short time as a human being is that not all humans are the same, but there is something that needs to be changed.

Once I learned the workings of the world today and have become quite powerful. That would be a turning point for humanity.

I will use the power that the system has given me to be strong. To protect those I love and kill those who oppose me.
