"Sister Mel...!!!"
I was shocked to the reflex of standing from Devan's lap. So too Devan stood behind me.
Brother Mel ran away from us with tears. I ran after Mel, Devan shouted to me not to run. She's more worried about my guts than Mel.
Devan blocked my hand. Mel ran away and got into the elevator.
"Dev, Mel's sister..."
"We're going home, but you don't run, please!" her door.
Devan stared at the two bodyguards who just looked down.
"Sorry sir, we've banned but Miss Melati insisted." said one of the men.
Get home.
The atmosphere of the house suddenly feels foreign and gripping. Papa sat on the couch. Mama is hugging Mel's sister. It was three o'clock but why did they come home from the office?
Papa looked straight ahead, his face expressionless as usual but from the look of his eyes there was so much anger and hatred.
"Go. You traitorous woman!!!" mel's sister screams that make me feel guilty.
Traitors.
I'm.
"Sister, I'm sorry Anye. It's..."
"Since when?" kak Mel's voice choked. "Since when have you been with Devan?!!" shouted again. Papa was expressionless and mom was crying.
"For a long time. And what I like is Carnations not you." Devan answered in his hand. Giving strength to look back at my crying brother, I looked at Devan and shook my head.
"I loved Anye from Melati, long before we met. Sorry."
"I'm sorry, um, auntie!"
Silence, there is only sobbing mama and Kak jasmine.
"How old are you Anye?!"
"HOW OLD ARE YOU CARNATION!!!" yell Jasmine.
"Eight weeks!" answer Devan. "And I'll take responsibility for Anye and my son."
"A week after we got engaged?" Brother Mel shook his head, then laughed mockingly. "Great You Anye! You're just like your mother. Seductress!!!" shouted Mel's sister and ran up the stairs.
What does. Just like my mom? Seductress?
I looked at my mom and dad in turn. Papa I can't hope for, mom is crying so hard.
"What does ma mean? Just like my mom? Am I not your son?" I asked to look at my mom and dad. I'll get close to my mom, but Papa's pushing me hard.
"Go you!" papa was still in position, but I could see his face was starting to harden and his tone was colder than the north pole.
"Pa, don't pa." please mama with a great cry.
"Papa's driving me out?"
"Yes. Go right now! And don't show up in front of us again!"
"Pa, mama please don't push Anye away." mama kept crying. Papa is standing.
"Get in the room, Linda!" papa's word.
"Ma..." I approached but my hand was choked by Devan.
"We're home!" whispered Devan.
"My house is here Dev."
"Don't expect us to accept you here after you smudge our faces!" papa said coldly and took the mother forcibly into the room.
"Pa, at least papa explain who I am!" I shouted, but papa kept bringing mom into the room.
"Anye, let's go home."
"Sister Mel. I need to see Mel, Dev." Devan's still blocking my hand. I don't care if I cry for clarity.
"We're home. Now!" devan resolute. Then I pulled my hand out of the house I had been living in.
