Sarah and Raka arrive at the restaurant, passing by at 12 p.m. A middle-aged man stood up to greet him, almost the same age as Papa Raka.
"Good day, sir." Raka regretted it, she did not know this man. But not with Sarah, she was momentarily stunned, it seemed like she knew him.
"Om Ferdi?"
"Yes, Sarah, long time no see, last time we met was about five or six years ago, at your sister's engagement party." Welcome the man friendly.
Raka looked at the wife, for a moment. She didn't even know if this person was present at her engagement party with Sally.
Sarah adored him with courtesy, this man was a good friend of his adoptive father, their house used to be in the same elite complex. Even sometimes in his spare time, his father invited Perdi to play chess on the porch of their house. Sometimes they jog together while chatting, when Sarah was a child.
He came not alone but with a young man, dressed neatly as a young executive.
"How are you Sarah?" His face, nodding his head, hinted that he knew Sarah.
"Good news, brother Doddy..." Sarah answered kindly, she knew enough Doddy, the son of Ferdi, often met accidentally, he was two years older than Sarah, they were friends while still in school in the same Junior High but not too close, because she was Sarah's upperclassman.
The last one to hear Sarah, Doddy after graduating high school in Surabaya, moved to Jakarta and studied in Australia. He is the sole heir to his father's Garment company.
"For a long time no see." Doddy said with a friendly smile then greeted Raka with a formal attitude.
"They're old acquaintances of papa." Sarah said to Raka who looked a little confused at how Sarah knew them.
"It's nice to see Ferdi again." Sarah smiled and let him sit down.
"It feels like, after years of not seeing each other, Sarah is so grown up. And I heard that we were married, when we moved to Jakarta, Sally was engaged." Om Ferdi chuckled while looking at the look on Raka's face.
"This is Raka sir, Rudiath sir's son...?"
"Yes, she's Sarah's husband." Sarah answered, overcoming the stiffness between Raka and these people.
For a moment Om Ferdi looked confused but then nodded his head. She doesn't know much about what happened to their lives, though last she knows, she attends Rudiath's son's engagement to Sally, Wijaya's youngest daughter. But today, he met the betrothed with Sarah as his wife, Vijaya's first daughter.
"I just found out from your mom a few months ago, if she's divorced your dad." Om Ferdi started the conversation.
"We met at an event by accident, when I returned to Surabaya, opened a new factory. Unfortunately your papa's contact number can't be dialed."
"Papa lives in Canada now." Sarah fumbled at the direction of their conversation. He wasn't sure what important matters were dealing with their company that this Om Ferdi should be talking about.
"Yes, I heard so too. we both lost contact, and unfortunately he is no longer holding the Rudiath-Wijaya Group company."
"Papa just wants to feel retirement faster. He remains an important person in this company, despite not being directly involved anymore." Sarah smiled, glancing at her husband who was sitting quietly without the slightest interruption.
"Actually I wanted to meet Mr. Rudiath directly but his secretary said he was in Japan. And I was recommended to meet with Mr. Raka as CEO and Sarah who turned out to be Wijaya's successor."
"Yes, om. I only represent papa in this matter, as long as he is in rest."
"Is there anything we can help you with?" Finally Raka spoke up, sounding lithe and authoritative.
"This is about, Mytha's mother, Sarah's mother, who wants to offer me 15 percent of your company's shares to me as collateral for the loan she put me on."
Raka and Sarah were aghast, while the two of them looked. They did not expect that Sarah's mother acted so rashly regarding the company's affairs.
"Because I still feel good friends with your father, I wanted to communicate this with him, but it turns out that he is no longer the owner of this company. Then, I think talking to Mr. Rudiath is the best thing. Nor do I want for my personal gain to act without consideration."
"Mama applied for a loan?" Sarah frowned.
"It looks like your mama is in financial trouble, she lost some assets in recent months and got into debt due to gambling."
Sarah was stunned, she did not expect, the habits of the mother had become more and more so now. He was truly sorry for the haphazard attitude of his mother that risked the company for the guarantee of his personal interests.
"I know, the entry of new people in a company has a little bit of influence on the internal company, especially I know very well this company background how. It would not have survived and developed so far if not for the solidity of its owner duo, Mr. Rudiath and Mr. Wijaya. Therefore, I want to discuss this matter heart to heart with the other official owners in this case, Mr. Rudiath, who is represented by Mr. Raka and Sarah himself."
"I feel happy, Mr. Perdi is well-intentioned, taking a private speaking line before taking the decision to take over half the shares of Mytha's mother. As a fellow business savvy, you're really very wise." Raka said later.
"Of course if Mr. Ferdi wants to, you can just take over because Mytha's mother legally and in writing does have ownership documents as well. Thank you for communicating early. I'm going to talk about this with papa, because it's related to the company."
"I just don't feel good playing behind, while I know exactly who Mr. Wijaya is." Sahut Om Ferdi's.
"Om Vijaya..." Suddenly Sarah stared intently at the middle-aged man.
"Do you really want to buy that stock?" Sarah's question was without further ado, making Raka look on the wife for a moment.
"Of course if you look at the benefits, this cannot be missed. But, personally I know, this company belongs to two big families from the beginning, new people are not the thing to be desired enough." That answer sounds very reasonable.
"I'm grateful that you came to the right person. Not to anyone else." Sarah breathed her breath.
"If Om Perdi pleases, in two days my husband and I would like to meet again with Om Perdi to discuss this matter. But for my mom's loan application, I want Perdi to help me."
"Help in what?"
"Om Ferdi still meng ACC loan application mama to om Perdi." Sarah answered later, which of course made Raka a little stunned by what her wife asked for. Is Sarah risking the company for the benefit of her mother?
Sarah held her husband's arm, assuring him that she knew what he was doing.
