Diah's eyes didn't blink looking at Bram.
"I don't want that house..." Says Diah, slowly.
"If you want to pass it on to Bella as a father, that's your right. But I won't stay there after divorcing you." Diah threw her face for a moment towards the glass of the canteen, which immediately showed the scene outside from the second floor.
"Why? I'm gonna get out of there. I'll never be there again if you want to." Bram's voice was never this soft, as long as they were together, even Diah was shocked by the change. As they shook hands after the trial, not a word came out of Bram's lips. He was so quiet and moody.
Now, the two of them sat facing each other, never talking like normal people like now, unfortunately between them there was no longer any relationship. They were suddenly like two strangers but knew each other.
"I can't stay there, too many painful memories are stored in it." Diah stared into Bram's face then released his gaze back towards the crowded highway behind the glass.
"There, I looked after and saw how the body of my son, Beni, was completely lifeless. There were so many tears and loneliness I went through...I really don't want to live there anymore." Diah said half muttering, her lips trembling, answering Bram, how much she no longer wanted to live in the house she had lived in for the past eight years.
"One day if I can make peace with my heart, I may come to see it once in a while, but not now. It seemed, I had to organize my life, releasing every trace of wound to be able to breathe more freely. It is not easy to adapt to a new life. But there's and there's no you, I'm used to it. I just want to start my new life, with no shadow of the past. " That sad sentence was continued Diah in his heart.
"I can still finance Bella, every month I will still transfer money for Bella's school needs." Bram suddenly said.
"I know how you are, I won't demand anything from you. I can still finance both of our lives, by working. So, don't bother to do it." That tone sounded cynical, but actually Diah said it sincerely.
"I will try to fulfill my responsibilities." Tukas Bram.
Diah fell silent, in the face of the late-goal face of her ex-husband who was tangled and increasingly unmanageable. It was magical when he listened to Bram's word of responsibility. That's a very rare thing.
"Whatchu mean? Don't try to say anything so that I falter with the decisions I have made. Although I may be able to forgive you, but it's not the same anymore." Diah's gaze was directed straight at Bram's face, so suspicious and riled.
"I just want to do it, with nothing to say. Don't get me wrong."
Diah clenched her lips, letting Bram speak.
"I..." Bram lowered his hot face.
"I'm sorry..."
Bram's voice sounded slow but clear. Diah was amazed, in his lifetime knew Bram, never once did he listen to an apology from Bram's mouth.
When she heard it now, Diah shuddered to himself. Haru taste and strange feeling can not be tepisnya.
"I'm sorry I could never be a good husband to you. I hope that after today, you will live better. I leave Bella, our son to you, I believe in your care, Bella will be a good boy." the sentence was so organized and almost soft even though it was spoken with a slight tremble from Bram's pale dark lips.
"I know there's no turning back, I'm too far from you and taking you off is the best thing I can do to bring back all the pain I've given you. I'd let go of this breakup if it made you happy, though maybe I'd regret it for the rest of my life." Bram was eager to say it but, those words seemed to evaporate at the end of his tongue.
And all he could do was look at Diah's face that was glued like a statue in front of him. His fingers were firmly attached to the tea glass that was in his grasp.
"I'm sincere about this divorce..." Bram grabs the divorce papers on the table with trembling fingers.
Yes, the first time Bram could not hold back his tears when dealing with Diah.
Bram couldn't hold himself back any longer there, a million regrets raging but he couldn't have come back.
Diah stared at the back of the man she used to adore, saying nothing more, though in Bram's little heart, she had little hope that Diah would keep her away.
A warm clear circle moistened Diah's cheeks unknowingly.
Sayu Diah's eyes accompanied Bram's missing departure behind the glass door, a step she had never seen so shaky.
But, there was nothing else that could hold the separation, Diah had chosen to break away, he could not bear to live in a marriage of more than two people in it.
All this time, he had been trying to survive, but three loves in one mahligai, it was too crowded. Bram still chose his ex-girlfriend to be with him. Diah has no place between them.
Bram has let go, and he doesn't want to look back. Whatever is now the struggle of Bram's life, is no longer his business.
Slowly Diah wiped his tears, staring at the ring box on the table left by Bram.
With trembling fingers in the box, staring at the wedding ring she had worn for the past eight years, never once did it escape her sweet fingers even when Bram left her for months. In Bram's departure in betraying her, the ring remained where she was first pinned by her husband.
The first time the ring was on its loose was a few hours ago when the judge's hammer was on tap three times.
With a broken heart, Diah wiped her tears with the back of her hand,
"Goodbye.and.thank you..." He repeated the same sentence Bram said before leaving.
Diah left a piece of blue money next to the box to pay for two glasses of hot tea that had gone cold without a single drink by the two of them.
Such is their love, time and betrayal that their love has lost its mouth. Their love becomes cold, colder than ice.
Diah's feet stepped up, leaving the table between relieved and wounded.
He was relieved to make it out of his circle of suffering but his heart still felt hurt, he lost his first love that never loved him.
