Marrying My Brother's Fiancee

Marrying My Brother's Fiancee
EPISODE 234 - HATE AND LOVE

The funeral atmosphere was solemn, only attended by a few close family people.

Mr. Wijaya, adoptive father Sarah did not talk much just staring like a statue when Mytha's coffin was lowered.

His eyes just stared unblinkingly at the gaping hole that was clutching the chest. Even the preacher's do'a and the introductory song the mourners sang were barely heard by his ears.

Papa Sarah did not shed a single tear but she did not show an expression that properly represented her feelings. Just kept quiet throughout the ceremony.

Sally did not see there, Sally's mental health did not allow her to attend the funeral of the mother.

Sally was left to a nurse and under guard in her own room in her mother's house, while the funeral was held, because she was like a dazed person, sometimes talking to himself as if he was talking to his mother, sometimes he was hysterical.

After the funeral, it will be planned what the best course of action is for Sally.

No one knows her well enough except Sarah and her father. Everyone was concerned about Sally.

"Papa, you shouldn't have left this way..." Sarah rested in front of her mother's grave, sprinkling flowers over the still-red belly button.

The mourners have gone home, papa and mama Raka are also saying goodbye, only Raka, Sarah and papa left there.

"You have chosen your own path, he is a hardened man. No one can stop him from doing anything if he wants to." Papa Sarah's voice sounded flat, as if her emotions were so far away.

"I shouldn't have been too hard on Mama." The sentence was said Sarah, filled with regret.

"This is probably the best way..." That's just the next sentence that comes out of the mouth of the ex-husband who has accompanied the life of the late Mytha for 31 years.

Many disappointments are stored in their relationship but still there was love between the two people.

No one knows how much love there was. But maybe there is still some coal there so that Wijaya does not have many words to say anything about his sadness.

For a moment his head was bowed in front of the navel, whether what prayer was being conveyed to God but Sarah knew, her silent father was trying to keep neat feelings that are now entrenched in his heart.

"Pa..." The clear circle fell on the corner of Sarah's eye.

"Father it's okay, Sarah. Your mama's been gone a long time. Papa who always tries to hold his body to stay with papa. But now, he was free, flying wherever he wanted. Nothing else made him angry, annoyed and bound. He went his own way. Mytha can't be attached to anyone forever, she even chooses the way to go." With trembling hands he placed a sprig of red roses on the chest of the navel that was puffed up by the ground.

"I'll never forget you...Like anything you are, whatever wounds you have scratched along our journey. You're still the first woman to make me lose my word." His whisper was slow, barely heard.

There was a quiet geeky young man, falling in love with an aggressive girl who stood out wherever he was.

She was beautiful, she was intoxicating, she knew no rules but the young Vijaya could not take her eyes off her.

He was like a magnet that made him unable to shake his head, all the things about Mytha made him know how love is, how to be a man. And without Mytha sometimes he thinks he's not breathing.

These past few months after their divorce, Vijaya pondered many things, from how long their marriage was to how much betrayal and damage their relationship had been.

Wijaya is hurt, she can never hate and love others as much as she hates and loves Mytha in her life

Then with a smile so bland, Wijaya stood up. His aging hand was outstretched to Sarah who was still silent in front of her mother's belly button.

"Son, let's go home..." He said in a heavy but firm voice.

Sarah looked up to her father, there was no judgment from the old eyes that were shady and filled with sadness.

Slowly Sarah welcomed the hand of the father, and stood in his guidance.

"Stand at your feet without much regret, everyone's path is different, you don't have to feel guilty for the choices of others. As long as you feel right, keep walking, son..."

"I just feel like I should have prevented my mom from doing this."

"What can you prevent? you don't have the ability to go against someone's destiny. You have done what is right for you and God has done what is His part. Most importantly you have been so bravely fixed on loyalty and righteousness. When this bad thing happens, it's not your responsibility. Because that's what has to happen." Papa Sarah smiled at Sarah, although the look on her face was not okay.

He felt lost, but he was relieved at the same time. No one can explain his feelings properly. But that's the truth.
