Jen opens Sarah's door, and lets Raka sit down. Raka looked haughty when entering, wearing a navy blue polo shirt and jeans combined with a white sneaker.
Sarah stood up from her seat, to welcome Raka's arrival. With an expressionless face Raka sat on the sofa opposite the table with Sarah.
The guest chair is set facing right next to the glass window, so the view is directly towards the atmosphere of the city.
Sarah was really clumsy, not knowing where to start to open the conversation. And again, Sarah refused to ask. Let it be, Raka who started, anyway he who wants to meet.
"I think you already understand what I want to talk to you about" Raka threw her gaze across the room, and stopped at a model wedding dress, which she knew to be true, Sally's wedding dress.
Next to it a bit back there is a model with a classic Italian model groom suit style, similar to the British Style fashion with two vents on the back and Italian wool silk material whose texture is shiny, shiny, really elegant.
Perfect, with slim fit model when worn by Raka who is ideal body.
Sarah did not reply, waiting for Raka to continue her sentence.
"We're doing this wedding is just a formality, you and I are both
no choice" he continued cynically.
Sarah breathed slowly. For that, Sarah already knows even though it is not spoken.
"We just do it like we should. After the process we carry out, we are only husband and wife on paper. I will not forbid you to do anything, nor vice versa" Raka's eyes were fixed on the wedding dress in the corner of the room, she was as if she was talking to the dress.
"Oh, yes, you don't need to worry, I won't interfere with your life because I have planned to continue S-2 at leiden university" Raka turned out to have planned everything carefully.
Raka turned a glance briefly at Sarah's face.
" You understand, right?" raka's question is like a sembilu. The cold look seemed to judge Sarah.
Sarah clenched her jaw with a sudden irritation, if only she was brave enough, then she would have shouted,
"You should have been more friendly to me, because I was the real victim in this matter!"
"I am the one who sacrificed to save all your interests, so that all of you would not lose face. I am the sickest! " Sarah is in.
Raka let out a heavy breathing sound, resuscitating Sarah.
"You listening to me?" asked Raka sharply.
Sarah raised her chin, and returned Raka's gaze boldly.
"Then..I have to say what?" Sarah asked back with a trembling voice.
Raka threw a glance towards the glass window with a puffiness.
"I just want to make sure you really understand, that this marriage is just a charade. After two or three years we can file for divorce for a variety of reasons. After that we are free from this marriage" Raka said.
"Don't you ever think you can really replace Sally." Said Raka again. This Raka sentence pierced into his heart, lowering his pride to the lowest level.
"You don't have to worry, I just stand up to be the result of my sister's actions. I'm gonna run this scenario, not because I want to, but because I have to pay for my life's misfortune." Sarah held her eyes back so as not to blink. Because if his eyes blinked, then there might be something unstoppable coming out of there.
"I make sure I will be at the altar in due time and grin happily on the day of our wedding reception to please everyone.
Raka did not budge, only rubbing her temple with an expressionless index finger.
He seemed to lose his sense, or perhaps he was a heartless human being?
Shortly after, Raka stood up from her seat
"Well then, you just need to come on the show, for the altar procession will be sent WO video, just follow it. On another matter, I took care of it" Raka squeezed the phone in her hand firmly, suppressing her feelings in front of Sarah.
Sarah was silent in her seat, reluctant to stand. He lost interest in driving Raka to the door. There were subtle steps, but before touching the doorknob, Raka turned around.
"Send the suit to my house, along with how much the wedding dress costs. You can wear that dress if it suits you."
Sarah did not respond, only turned her head briefly towards Raka, then stared straight at the window.
The sound of the door opening then closing, assures Sarah that Raka has left her room.
After Raka died, Sarah could not hold her tears anymore. Sarah cried silently with a hard face straight against the glass window.
The sky above the city today is so bright, so blue. Ironic to Sarah's feelings.
Everyone is like pointing a finger at him, asking for responsibility from him for mistakes he never made.
This marriage ceremony hurt her, pierced her heart. Was it because of his unlucky life that all the bad things had to go through. Even Raka who should be grateful for his existence, demeaned him in such a way.
...***...
Raka threw her body on the bed in annoyance regardless of the shoes that were still attached to her feet.
All the scenes in Sarah's study were like crumpled tapes on her head.
Raka was upset with Sarah's resignation and her stingy impression of words. But just as he suddenly let out words, the sentence that came out was like a block that directly pounded Raka's heart.
Forcing her to feel sinful by what she had done to the girl's life.
Sarah's face was actually quite pretty, with her big eyes sparkling and her thick eyebrows neat. Her hair is long, if you look at it from afar while she is still, like the woman in the painting. It's just that he's so gloomy.
Supposedly, he took out everything in his head, at the very least, conveying his anger over the injustice he received. That way, Raka can argue with him and give him many reasons why he should be involved. It certainly makes Raka a little honorable in persecuting Sarah's future
But what happened, Sarah just accepted it without saying much. Letting this heartbroken Raka feel even more guilty.
Never mind, thought Raka. Sally had hurt him like this, of course all her family had to take responsibility as well. Even if Sarah did this wedding, it wouldn't be long. They were just married pretending. After becoming husband and wife, Raka also won't be here for long. With the reason of continuing school to Leiden he can stay away from all these problems for a while.
Their business remained fine after Raka's death, as Edgar's older brother handled the company's affairs all along.
Raka looked at the ceiling of the hotel room that had been two nights in his place. Raka is lazy to go home, if no one needs to. Maybe later, after the close of H day, he will return home.
She reluctantly returns home after successfully convincing her parents with a false story that she and Sally agreed to end their engagement, because all this time she loved Sarah instead of Sally.
Raka solemnly pretends to ask for their blessing, asks permission to marry Sarah and says that everything is known to Sarah's parents. He and Sally have been separated.
Sally is also now overseas, with her man of choice.
