"Do you love my wife?"
The question was not loud but sounded so deep.
Doddy Alfajri gasped, his mouth was clenched, his tongue was twisted.
"I can't believe you care about Diah's life for no reason. You can't lie anymore, if you keep your feelings to Diah." Bram continued half-sniffing, feeling victorious when he saw Bram nervous when he launched the question.
"Yes.I love Diah." Those words rhymed in silence, so resolute without hesitation.
Doddy's answer was beyond Bram's expectations, he thought this man was entangled with a thousand kinds of reasons but now he was fascinated himself in the shock of hearing the words coming out of Doddy's lips.
"I loved Diah long before you knew her and married her. I love Diah even.Diah himself never knew if I was in love with her." The words sounded flattered but full of conviction.
Bram's mouth gawked at Doddy's confession.
"I know very well of Diah's status, so I never tried to reveal anything to her despite the many loopholes to cheat on your fractured relationship." Doddy sighed as if enjoying a moment of Bram's stunned face.
"I'm not saying this because I want to be the third or fourth person in your household. I just want you to consider mending your relationship if you still have few feelings. I know exactly who she loved long ago. Be firm, don't be a coward. Go back and leave the woman who became a pest in your household or let Diah go." those words were slid firmly by Doddy.
Bram's jaw that had hardened was immediately stiff, his feelings mixed between anger, annoyance, jealousy and even regret. He didn't know how to vent it, just silent like a statue without a word.
"I know that soon you will face a divorce trial, it is not too late to fix things. Apologize to Diah, I know he must have forgiven you because he loves you so much. Even though I love her, I always wish she was happy, not necessarily with me. If he's happy with you, it's fine with me. I'd rather see him choose you and be happy just to know." Doddy breathed heavily, he no longer wanted to prolong the conversation. As a man he had quite lowered his self-esteem with so many requests even confessions that it might be taboo to do other men in front of his love enemies.
But Doddy chose, pleading for the happiness of the woman he loved to Diah's own husband, a husband who never valued Diah at the end of a fingernail.
It hurt too much for Doddy to keep quiet, seeing how Diah wallowed himself in his pain, without daring to say anything.
Doddy just wanted Bram to know and realize, Diah is not a stone, Diah is so precious in his eyes.
"Now, I hope you understand what I mean, there's no need to spy on me anymore and no need to suspect your faithful wife.
I've come to explain myself to you, don't try to embarrass Diah again. He was quite ashamed of his life. The woman who knows her husband saves another woman, she loses half of her confidence, does not easily live by questioning her own honor. I hope to love your wife, before anyone else loves her for your own loss." Doddy got up from the wooden chair he was sitting on. Preparing to leave, along with the cafe lights were lit brightly against the dim light of twilight that immediately greeted.
Doddy will turn away, when Bram stands up too,
"Do you really love Diah?" Bram asked with trembling lips, his fingers clenched, as if suppressing a burning feeling trying to rise to the surface.
Doddy was stunned, stopped to leave. The two of them faced each other, with their noses aligned equally high.
"I don't have to say it anymore." Doddy answered flatly, he was prepared to accept whatever would be entrusted to him, whether the swearing and even bogem on his face due to his unwillingness to admit his feelings to love women who are still tied to marriage with other men.
"I'm. I'm gonna let go."
That stammered sentence was so slow, coming out of the throat of a big tall man that selfishly even tended to cruelly treat his wife.
Doddy was glued to face Bram as if unsure of what his ears caught.
"I realized I had made a big mistake, but I couldn't bring back the many tears and pain I had inflicted on Diah. Going back to her tal will make Diah back to what he used to be." Bram spoke slowly, those haggard eyes were like dewy glasses. No more hard attitude, no longer his ego dominates the look of his forehead.
"I'm guilty, why should I try to repair the cracked ceramic, will not be able to return as usual. Maybe it's time, I let Diah go, when I know there's someone else who can treat him a lot better than me." Bram's body trembled, his hands clenched even his fingernails injured his own palm.
How great Bram tried to fight the ego that was raging in his heart, he had reached the point of awareness, that the pain in Diah was not enough just to be apologized.
"I may have realized too late, but forcing myself after so much harming her didn't make Diah any better. In three days, I will face the divorce trial, and I will not defend myself for anything that could make it difficult for her to escape from me. I sincerely released him, regardless of what he'll be with her after this." Bram's voice was so raucous in soul fatigue from being too far lost, when he turned his head, the bridge for him back had cracked even barely broken.
"I am sad and happy, I am angry and relieved when I hear you love Diah so much. Everything is still my fault, because it spoils my ego. Now that Diah doesn't want to be with me anymore, there's nothing wrong with that.I'm just late to realize that." Bram's breath briefly stinged, challenging Doddy's unblinking eyes to Bram, he could hardly believe Bram's changing attitude which was 180 degrees from what he knew.
"Diah.love you..." The sound was like it was stuck in Doddy's throat.
Slowly his hand crept in his pocket, a red note was placed on the table next to his coffee cup and he slowly shifted his body.
"I hope that Diah finds happiness with someone who truly loves her..."
Bram steps away from the cafe, leaving Doddy barely able to open his mouth because it feels stiff and frozen
The night before changing the day, outside the street lights began to turn on, the car lights highlighted Bram's eyes that painfully alternated, the twilight had become completely dark.
With a steady step, Bram walked over to the song that was playing from the small cafe he left behind,
It's my fault
Thinking too much about my ego
Can't make you comfortable with me
Until you leave me
It's too late already
Now you're gonna find him
Someone who can make you happy
I sincerely you go with him
I'm tucking him in
Continue my struggle 'tuknya
Happy for her, you love her
Like I love her
'Kan kuikhlaskan him
I don't deserve to be with him
'I received it with a chest
I'm not his soul mate
Bait-bait Tri Asylum song in the cover of the song can not hold the corner of the eyes of Bram wet.
Bram's steps grew longer, leaving a million regrets behind his back.
(Yeayyyy.. I've been crazy UP again today, the closer it feels othor the more nervous eh😁.
Karma Bram is not only regret but more than that, God may punish him in the afterlife but in the world there is a retaliation called karma. Do not hurt anyone else who sincerely loves us, because his karma will also feel terrible as a depe of our sins in the world️😂
In the next part Bram will experience an unforgettable shock for life. Whatisit? Follow this story next yes.).
