Marrying My Brother's Fiancee

Marrying My Brother's Fiancee
EPISODE 79 DON'T ASK

After dinner, Sarah and Raka relax for a while in the family room with papa and mama.

Raka seemed serious about talking to papa, while Sarah seemed to be listening to mama give advice on how to maintain the pregnancy, anything that can and does not be done, and not done, what drinks to avoid.

My mom is very experienced about that.

Unfortunately, Sarah was a little out of focus with everything that mama explained, her eyes several times stealing glances at Raka who was talking to her papa.

Sarah knew very well, there was something stuck in her husband's mind. Not usually he was so quiet after coming home from the cendol hunt earlier. His face is a little gloomy.

He locked himself in his study next to his room all afternoon and into the night.

If Sarah had gone up from the kitchen to have her take a shower before dinner, she might have been in the room.

Sarah does not know what makes Raka's attitude suddenly turned strange like that but she hopes not because Raka took heart with her chatty behavior that has troubled her husband all this afternoon.

The wall clock shows 09.32 WIB, when suddenly Raka stood up from her seat.

"It seems, Raka must go up first, Raka's eyes are not willing to compromise."That sentence of course does not match the condition of Raka's face that still looks fresh, only she looks not too excited.

"Darling, I went up first."Raka patted her shoulders gently when passing where Sarah was sitting with mama on a sofa bed for mama used to relax.

Sarah looked up at Raka's gloomy face, but the husband immediately turned his face and kissed her mother's cheek,

"Good night, ma." Raka said a short speech before then climbing the stairs without turning her head again.

"Darling..." Mama called Sarah, breaking the silence.

Sarah who was still stunned staring at the stairs immediately turned her eyes to mama.

"Yes, mom..."

"What's wrong with you guys?"

Mother's question certainly made Sarah feel confused.

"You guys got into a fight?" mama frowned.

"No, ma. We're not fighting." Sarah answered, shaking her head. He himself felt confused by Raka's sudden attitude being so strange.

"Raka seems to be having a little problem then." Mama patted the back of Sarah's hand that was clinging to her own lap.

Sarah did not reply, only looking down slightly letting her eyes scour the tips of her toes.

"You're worried about your husband?" Mama's gentle question was so slow but seemed to spread to the recesses of her heart.

Sarah raised her face, she now did not have to hide her worries in front of mama, this old man might even know more about her heart now.

"There is no need to worry about things that you still do not know the subject. If he chooses to keep quiet about not talking to you, maybe that's not really a problem that should involve you. Let him think his own way out. A silent husband does not mean he ignores you, but he may just need time to solve his own problems." Mom smiled to calm Sarah.

"But he can talk to me about it, what's the matter, even though I might not be able to help, so that I'm not confused myself." Sarah responded with a voice.

"Males are humans with the highest ego, they are not people who are sensitive to things that involve feelings. Sometimes they don't even realize we're crying behind their backs, because they're too focused on themselves and their minds. But, never judge them for their weakness on this one, for that is how men are created, bearing the burden of responsibility as the head of the family. Making sure his family is okay, it's more important to them than just seeing or noticing people's feelings even though it might be his wife."

"Don't ask, if they don't want to talk about it, because we won't get an answer if we urge them especially if we behave suspiciously. Just show concern, until they realize, we're at their side and ready to listen if they need a place to share the burden." Mama's smile broke when she found Sarah's round eyes staring at her unblinkingly.

"As a wife, sometimes we feel anxious, it's normal.but don't let our anxiety make us harbor suspicions without reason or even accusing things that are not necessarily the truth. Small embers if in the inflatable will be big. Don't do unnecessary things.sometimes a little jealousy might be said to be a sign of love, a lot of jealousy could be disastrous."

Sarah is now really dumbstruck looking at mama, even the smallest thing she knows, that as much as jealousy had reached her mind over the strange attitude of Raka all afternoon.

"Just relax, baby.they'll be fine, as long as they know, we love them. Later, he'll talk to himself, only they're gonna need time."

Sarah nodded her head, now she felt calmer.

"Go up, you know now your mind is right there, in your head there's only your husband's face, of course..." Mama chuckles seductively.

Sarah blushed at my mother's words, but she couldn't twitch. His heart was like being stripped by his mother-in-law.

Sarah told mom shyly.

"Sarah go up first, ma." In the pecking cheek of this kind-hearted woman, now the feeling was calmer.

Sarah opened the door of the unlocked room. The room was quiet, the lights were bright. And on top of the bed, the still slippery sheets neatly showed the empty bed was not bedded at all.

Sarah changed her clothes with a thin sleeping dress. Heading to the bathroom, cleaning his face and brushing his teeth. When he returned, Raka still did not enter the room.

Then, with a slight hesitation, Sarah knocked on Raka's office door.

"Yes..." Raka's heavy voice from inside the room made Sarah a little nervous.

Sarah opened the door slowly, trying to pull the corner of her lips into a smile.

Raka sat behind her dim work desk, her grim face reflected by the light of the table lamp. Raka immediately folded her laptop and set her sights on Sarah.

"Darling, haven't slept?" ask Sarah.

"Not sleepy." Answer Raka, short.

"So, you're riding fast because you're sleepy, I thought you were asleep." Sarah's closing in on melting the mood.

"There's a little unfinished work so I'll finish it for a minute."

"Darling.don't push yourself too hard, being tired and sick isn't worth all your effort." Sarah stood like a beautiful statue, with a thin short dress across from Raka's workbench, like a silhouette in dim.

Raka looked straight at Sarah, so deep and long in silence.

"Darling, we have to talk...." Finally Raka's voice sounded hoarse, breaking apart desolate.
