Marrying My Brother's Fiancee

Marrying My Brother's Fiancee
EPISODE 87 CHASING PAST LOVE

"He just arrived in Leiden and called me earlier because he asked for your address. He kept my contact number, because we met in Germany before, you introduced him as your fiancee at the time."

Raka was flabbergasted for a moment, listening to the testimony from Willem. He could hardly believe what he was hearing.

"Sally?"

"Yes, Sally. Now I'm at your apartment door. It seems like she really wants to see you."

Raka said nothing and did not know what to do.

It was all so sudden and unexpected.

The phone was switched off with the sound of the door bell ringing afterwards.

Raka still held the phone in her hand, then with a slightly confused step she headed for the door and opened it.

Willem stood there with a look that was also no less confused.

"He's looking for you."Willem said with a little unpleasant, he knew very well about Raka's love story, even he also knew his friend had married his fiancee's brother.

Delivering Sally to Raka's apartment is certainly not the right thing, though, but he could not resist as the girl who was now standing behind his back with a small suitcase was begging to be delivered to Raka.

As Raka's best friend, she gets to know Sally, while Raka and she are still in school in Germany.

Several times the girl who was Raka's fiancee at that time came to visit Raka in Germany. Sally is a fun supple girl.

Willem walked in through the door and gave way to Sally to enter.

Sally, with her jeans and a white ruffle top, looked sweet even though her face looked a little haggard. His hand held the handle of the suitcase firmly, his bangs covered part of his eyebrows, and those clear eyes gnawed at Raka, expectantly.

Raka stood in his place as if frozen, staring straight at the girl who had once been so close to him.

"het lijkt erop dat ik moet gaan (seems like I should go)." Willem patted the King on the shoulder, giving awareness to his friend who was still stunned.

Then without saying much, Willem headed for the door, closing it in haste.

He really does not want to be involved with the love story Raka thinks is so complicated.

Helping the one who asked for it was an obligation, he could not possibly allow a woman who had come all the way to Leiden to meet someone, to be abandoned.

For whatever the trouble behind him is, Willem doesn't know. He just did what he had to do as a friend.

"Sally?"

Raka looked at the girl in front of him still unable to hide her surprise.

"Whether...." Sally took off the handle of the suitcase attached to her grasp.

"Why did you come here?" Raka's voice shook, so cold.

"I want to see you." Sarah answered boldly, she stepped forward.

And by reflex Raka took a few steps back.

"I didn't expect you to be this determined." How ominous a sound came out from Raka's lips, making Sally stop her steps.

"I can do anything for you, because you're still my fiancee." Sally replied, she did not show any shame.

"Sally, we're no longer people with relationships, since I married Sarah. You're nothing to me."

"You're still my fiance!"

Sally raised her hand to show the back of her left fingers, where on her ring finger was circular an engagement ring that Raka had pinned five years ago.

Raka looked at the fingers with a piercingly sharp look. A flash of all the memories of the past passed in front of him, like a shadow running around.

"What's so special about the ring, Sally?" Raka said without showing any reaction.

"Did the ring make you feel entitled to come to me? is that ring higher in value than the one I'm now wearing?" Raka raised her right hand even higher than her face. On her ring finger, circular a wedding ring, the pair of rings now worn by Sarah.

"Have you really forgotten me?"

"Is remembering the person who hurt me so important? I didn't expect to see you at all, for any reason." Raka answered while taking one more step back, as if to stay away from Sally.

"You lied!" Sally shouted half-hardened.

"I know you still love me, I know you married Sarah because you had to. You just pretended to love her, so I was jealous. You're just taking revenge on me!" Sally continued, her face flushed red.

"Why should I lie if I love Sarah?"

"Because I was your first love! I know that."

"Sally, it turns out you never grew up." Raka shook her head.

"And all this time you really didn't know me very well. I may have liked you so much, so dear to you but no feelings will survive after receiving betrayal. Does the feeling stay the same, when you throw yourself at another man?

Don't judge yourself so highly, you even lost your pride long ago. In the past I may have never really bothered about the little mistakes you made during our time together.

But I'm also not a stone that's always silent, to please your heart."

Raka stared intently at Sally, stabbing her all the way to the heart of the beautiful woman who was slightly paler and thinner than before.

"Everyone has limits on tolerance, and I've been patient enough for you, don't force me to show you how much I really hate you.

If it wasn't for remembering Sarah, I might have absorbed you as much with the worst word I had.

Unfortunately, your brother even though it's cruel that you treat him still loves you so much, that I can't do anything that might make him sad." Raka smiled cynically.

"You love me..." Sally hissed, her eyes glazed with a look so desperate.

"I might love you first! But today and yesterday are different times. I love others who treat me well and respect me. I love your sister, Sally. One thing I should probably be grateful for the many wounds you have given me is giving Sarah as your replacement. He's a thousand times better than you!" Raka looked at Sally like ice cubes, heartlessly.

"I miss you so much, I just realized I love you."

"Something will feel meaningful when it's gone. I have nothing wrong with you, you who dumped me and chose to leave! Why can't you see how you're humbling yourself. Don't you have a little shame?"

"Raka, I'm sorry.I promised to be faithful to you after this, my whole life." Sally was so clear, looking at Raka with her eyes puffy.

Raka walked towards Sally, until they were only a short distance away.

"Do you really want me to forgive you?" Raka leaned her face, so close to Sally's face.

Sally nodded her head, her tears melted down her cheeks, sparkling under the light of the lamp.

"I forgive you if you promise never to show your face in front of me and Sarah again! Forever!" Raka spoke in a voice so deep and heavy, laden with disgust and anger that was held in such a way.

Then with long steps, Raka walked towards the door, opening it wide,

"Go home, I'll have Beatrix pick you up and drive you to the nearest hotel. That's the best thing I can do to you, as a good sister-in-law."

Raka stood like a doorman, waiting for Sally to move and walk out through the door of her apartment.

Sally bought it to Raka, never expecting Raka to be so hard on her. He thought that when he found out that Raka had returned to Leiden and that she had caught up with him, his ex-fiancee would have collapsed and re-tempted her to embrace him.

Unfortunately, he had misjudged that gentle and submissive Raka, he even drove himself all the way across the continent just to be humiliated.

"Get out! I have to call my wife right now, I don't want to keep her waiting."

Sally's eyes flashed looking at Raka, implying heartache and a thousand grudges.
