Rein let out a long sigh of restraining fret. She then put her phone on the dresser before exiting Davin's room after fixing the expression on her face.
"Aska, tonight you-" He couldn't continue his words when he saw at the dinner table not only was Aska a person but there was also Tio.
Whether since when Tio woke up and and came out of the room, Rein did not hear any sound from Davin's room. Usually Tio would yell at him when he woke up but why didn't he do it this time?
Oh, maybe Rein didn't hear it because he was too busy talking to Davin.
But the problem wasn't that it caught Rein's attention. He stood dumbfounded on the spot when he saw Aska and Tio were currently sitting face to face on the dining table with a flat face that a child should not have.
Seeing their silent flat faces, Rein seems to go back to those years in High School when he and Davin had not dated or known each other.
At that time Davin always used this flat face in school, giving the impression of men who were not easy to approach and became the idol of many girls in school.
Years had passed and now Rein saw those expressions back on the faces of these two children.
"Mom, I don't like this kid." Said Aska while pointing at Tio with a flat expression on her face.
His tone was full of ridicule - which made Rein even more confused. He wonders what education Aska has gotten so far that it makes him a hostile person
"Mom, I don't like it either."
Unfinished Rein's daydreams propagate, Tio's displeasureful voice pulls him from the focus of the daydream. He looked at Tio dumbfounded, there was a feeling of unwillingness in his heart when he saw that neither the attitude nor the tone of dislike Tio had any resemblance to Aska, the flat-faced boy who was now staring at Tio with both eyes glaring.
"Who are you calling Mommy?! Mommy is my Mommy and Mommy is not your Mommy!" Shouted Aska claiming with a sense of dominance.
Aska is not willing if Rein is also called Mommy by Tio because for him Rein only has one round and that is him, Aska!
As for Tio, he only confessed and Aska really didn't like it!
"Can't! Mommy is Mommy Tio! Mommy Tio is not your Mommy!" Tio also voiced his disreputability.
Both of his big eyes were staring at Aska sharply, this scene should have looked cute and adorable as Tio's flat expression slowly eroded away replaced by a pitiful and persecuted expression.
"Mommy is Mommy Tio!" He said to hold back sobs.
Though clearly there are tears now flowing sassy from the corner of his eyes.
Rein was touched, she hurriedly approached Tio, sat down on her knees beside her son's chair and gently rubbed the face of her adorable kingpin asking to be pinched.
After Rein approached, Tio's mood improved. He was happy because Rein was more attentive to him than to Aska.
"Tio don't cry anymore yah-"
"Hiks... Mommy, nasty! Mommy doesn't love Aska anymore!" Aska's voice interrupted Rein's speech.
"Don't cry, okay. Here hug Mommy and your sister." Rein tried to persuade.
He tried to pull Aska into his arms. Although Aska was still small and more or less had the same height as Tio, but Rein was sure if the age of Aska was much higher than his son, Tio.
"Mom?" Tio looked at the puzzled Aska.
Aska across there seemed hesitant down from her chair wanting to approach Rein. He didn't like Tio but he didn't want to be away from Rein. She loves Rein, she wants to be hugged by Rein just like how Rein hugs Tio. He also wanted to feel that warm feeling.
"He's my brother?" Ask not to believe.
Davin never said he had a sister who looked so annoying.
"Yes, honey. Tio is your sister, Mommy's son is just like you." Persuade Rein while reaching out to Aska's wet hand.
Aska did not refuse, walking obediently into Rein's warm embrace. He hugged Rein firmly, his two eyes naturally closed feeling a gentle swipe on his wet cheek. Right, Rein is still her Mommy, the mother who gave birth to her. I miss Rein very much.
After a difficult time, the night came. Rein is very busy cooking and preparing delicious cakes for his two sons who still do not get along. Although not familiar but the two of them obediently listened to what Rein said until they finally slept inside Rein's room. No one was willing to budge, their small hands tightly hugging Rein. Rein was overwhelmed by the cold war between the two of them.
"Davin hasn't picked up the phone from me yet, it looks like he's very busy." Rein whispered while staring at the screen of his phone which showed his lover's id.
He tried calling several times but Davin never picked up the phone from him. Davin is usually the first person to contact him but for the first time, Davin did not do it tonight.
Ting~
Message went into his phone. It was from Davin, the guy he tried to call a few times.
Honey sorry, today I was very busy and did not have time to contact you. After all my work is done, I'll call you. I love you, Rein.
Rein let out a long breath. As expected, Davin must have been very busy at the other end. Rein did not want to make it difficult so he hurriedly retorted.
No Davin, don't think about me. Take your time to rest later and call me after everything is okay. I missed you, Dav.
Rein initially wanted to type 'I love you too' but it felt a bit awkward so he decided to type in the other words alone.
After sending a message Rein put his phone on the nightstand, pulled a warm blanket for his two sons before he closed his eyes flying into the dream world.
...🍃🍃🍃...
Two days passed quickly - or perhaps a little slowly - for personal Rein. Fortunately Aska and Tio start to get along with each other. They often spend time in front of the tv watching the same animated movie, sitting at the study table to learn together, while Rein often listens to their babble about a lesson. Aska is bigger and goes to school first, so she teaches Tio some lessons she knows with a flat expression on her face. Then after the study session, they would dine along with the topic chatter that honestly sounded very trivial to personal Rein.
But this was a child's world, Rein was already an adult and could not match it.
