My Boss, My (Ex) Boyfriend

My Boss, My (Ex) Boyfriend
25. Meet Again

His legs froze, he could not control. The polite words spoken immediately swallowed into his stomach when he saw that cold figure again.

It has been 5 years but this man is still handsome and charming, and it has been 5 years but this man is still as haughty as that day.

The rich are free to do what they want to do. As a poor and foreigner Rein had no opinion whatsoever.

Hem, foreign?

A moment of memory of that day flashed inside his head. Scrubbing back the wound that he thought was healed but it wasn't. It still hurts and leaves a tightness.

...But for sure after this I hope you do not contact or interfere with my life again because after this I will start a new life with the woman I love..

Right, they've been officially two strangers since Davin threw two checks for the price of all his services first. Now they meet again with a different relationship.

Davin, his ex-girlfriend is now the boss where he works. They no longer stand in the same place and their understanding is not in line.

They have chosen each other's path since 5 years ago. Oh, rather Rein was forced to choose to walk away.

They were two strangers who had no ties whatsoever other than the relationship between boss and subordinate.

Suddenly Rein's face calmed down. He behaved normally as if not surprised at all by their unexpected encounter.

"Sorry sir, this is your ordered coffee." Rein said politely before walking up to Davin's desk.

Under the watchful eye of Davin's cold eyes, Rein looked extremely calm without any fluctuations on his face. He placed Davin's coffee on the table deftly, wiping the handle of the coffee glass so that Davin would not be disgusted when holding it later.

"Does Mr Davin still need anything before I get out?" Rein delves into the role of 'strangers' without a hitch.

Making Davin who had been watching raised one of his eyebrows to judge.

Rein pretends not to know what Davin is saying because he focuses on the role of 'strangers'.

"Sorry sir, I don't understand what Mr. Davin is saying." He did not forget to smile at the end of his words. It's ethical manners when talking to a boss, okay!

Rein is currently standing straight right in front of Davin's desk with both hands still holding the tray.

Davin propped his chin uninterested, his two sharp eyes twitching lightly watching Rein's two hands quietly holding tightly to the sides of the tray.

Davin smiled obliquely, his sharp eyes glaring lazily at Rein's overly contrived pretenses.

"Don't pretend to be stupid, my time isn't as generous as serving your lowly charade." Said lazy.

In boredom Davin picks up Rein's homemade coffee that is still steaming hot just made. The fragrance lightly moved lightly following the direction of the wind, bringing a sense of nostalgia that was reluctant to be recalled.

Rein was not angrily insulted like that by Davin. To him the rich had always been like this, they were haughty and arrogant to lower people like Rein. This is also true for Davin, the former lover who once was the strongest back protecting her all those years ago.

"Don't misunderstand, sir, this is pure coincidence. I have never followed Mr. Davin and I have also lived here since 5 years ago." Rein no longer had to pretend not to know.

He answered honestly Davin's question using a formal tone. This shows that Rein respects Davin as his boss regardless of their unpleasant past.

"Sad.." Davin became sick of hearing Rein's formal tone.

He thought Rein had always been like this, liked to pretend and play a futile role.

"I don't care what you're saying, right or not what you're saying doesn't have anything to do with me. I don't want to find out because it would be a waste of my time and resources. But one thing is certain, you should know that here I am the boss and you are my subordinate. While working here you must behave and act like a subordinate regardless of our past relationships that cannot be mentioned. Do you understand?" Davin said in a lazy tone.
