71. A Condition
Davin's mouth moved stifled withholding a smile.
"Say, don't waste much of my time." He said while looking at the time on his watch.
Rein thought quickly, "I'll come with you but I won't stay for free there. I'll pay the rent while living there."
Davin didn't care, but was still testing Rein's patience, "Are you able? The monthly rent at my house is much more expensive than the cost of living in a five star hotel."
That is clear, from his salary and savings, Rein will not be able to pay.
Rein closed his eyes.
"I'll work outside-"
"I'm also busy working in the office, I can't accompany Tio all day." Davin indicated Rein can't work out there.
Rein closed his eyes in annoyance.
"Well, in exchange for rent I can work at your house as a maid and I promise I won't interfere in your personal affairs. How's it?" This was the last road Rein had.
Davin was still silently staring at the nervous expression on Rein's pretty face. I don't know what he's thinking right now but his two almond eyes are never separated from Rein and Tio.
"Whatever." In the end, he could only say this.
Rein was relieved, he thought Davin would refuse but in fact it happened.
"I'll pack my things after Dimas gets home"
"Now, this is the last time I'll hear you say that man's name." Davin's sweat was cold.
"Alright," Rein sighed lightly quite helplessly.
"I'll send you a message if today Tio and I will stay in your house." Said reluctant.
Actually after the announcement of the building owner came out, Dimas had said he would look for a new, more comfortable residence for Rein and Tio. If it can, it should be further and more closed from the city environment. In other words, Dimas wanted to keep Rein and Tio away from Davin.
Davin said nothing. He then took Tio from Rein's embrace, hugged her warmly and occasionally served Tio childish babbles. At first glance, this scene looks very touching.
Her son's cheerful laughter when joking with the figure of the long-missed Father, Rein felt quite relieved. Well, it's a relief to see Tio can be like any other kid.
Rein didn't waste any time. He took Tio's bag, put all of Tio's clothes in it. Then, he also cleaned his clothes that are not too much into a backpack given Dimas 4 years ago to replace his back bag that has been badly damaged can not be used anymore.
Rein let out a long sigh considering those painful years, it felt like she wanted to cry when she realized that the twist of fate had brought her back to being stuck with the man who had hurt her heart that year.
"I hope my heart will be fine after this and I hope Dimas will forgive me for choosing to give up, I hope Dimas will forgive me for deciding to stay with Davin. I'm really sorry, Dimas." His whisper felt very guilty.
Without Dimas maybe he could not enjoy a comfortable life with Tio, and without Dimas maybe Rein today is on the streets with Tio.
Everything because of Dimas, he could be here because of the kindness of his best friend.
"I will meet him after his heart is no longer angry." His whisper made a decision.
