In the evening Dimas came home at 9pm with the groceries Rein ordered. Before returning home, he took time to the supermarket near the company that was discounting heavily.
"Tio's asleep?" Dimas sat in front of the tv with Rein.
"Hem, he's sleeping."
"Lo's got a problem, huh? Your face is bent." Something must have happened at school.
Dimas has always seen Rein's gloomy expression this year because of Tio's school.
"The school will leave Tio next month if I still haven't paid her school fees two months ago." The story of Rein pouting.
Guess what, it must be a money problem again.
Dimas opened his briefcase on the side. Remove a thick yellow envelope. He tore off the yellow envelope, took out a few pieces of blue-colored banknotes from the inside and gave them to Rein.
"Now, you pay tomorrow so they don't bother you anymore."
"Lo's already payday? It's really fast. My boss didn't say anything about our payday."
"Udah take it first. Tomorrow you'll be paying too." Said relaxed.
Employees were indeed different from rude workers like Rein. Employees tend to be respected and valued in the company whereas those manual laborers tend to be underestimated. Yes how else some people can not escape from the social level.
Rein accepted it, after counting he was surprised because the number was too much.
"It's too much, Dim. Tio's school fees aren't this much." Rein wanted to return it but was immediately rejected by Dimas.
"That's why Tio's school costs the next 3 months so they don't charge you anymore."
"But your salary is not much and tomorrow I will also pay." Rein doesn't want to be a hypocrite.
Dimas had been kind enough to accommodate and support him here so that Rein did not want to demand too much of his best friend. He is still alone and needs savings for his future, he also still has parents in the village who must be blessed.
"Rein, this is a bonus from my new boss. He said this was a form of compensation for all of our hard work these past few months."
"Eh, your boss is really good. Just served but gave me a bonus. I hope this applies to us in the office girl section as well." Rein could not help but be astonished and also slightly hopeful.
"Don't you work there as a cleaner, I'm just a subordinate who is astonished."
"Well.lo have to be careful from now on if that's the case. Maybe this bonus is a gift from him before you feel what his version of hard work is." Rein scares.
"Gue won't be afraid of Rein, I'm a hard worker." Dimas was used to overtime every night at the office so as hard as any new boss he would be able to face.
"Familiar, what do you mean?"
Dimas tried to remember once again the tall and cold figure that made the whole office uproar. Despite just looking from the side Dimas felt that his new boss was similar to someone he knew.
"Gue feels like my new boss is no stranger. He looks like someone I know but it's still not clear who that is."
Rein immediately rolled his eyes puffed.
"Gue guess what.hah, Dimas.. Dimas. Who knows if you've met him somewhere or who knows he's your senior on campus first. So it's natural you feel he's no stranger."
Dimas is still unsure but chose not to extend the talks.
"Em.gue would like to say something to you, Rein." Dimas looked serious.
"Oh that thing this morning, by the way, Dim, I must've been horrified."
Dimas stared at Rein elaborately, "Lo want me to not come back to the same village Tio?" Rein was not familiar with Dimas's talk.
Why did he and Tio have to come to the village when he had no one there.
"What do you mean, Dim? Come to the village you want to move?" Rein origin guess.
But he did not expect his perfunctory guess to turn out to be true.
"Yes Rein, I want to move to the village. But not alone because I want lo same Tio also come back to my village. I think the village is much safer and more comfortable than the city. It was as if the people there weren't talking too much and taking care of other people's private lives." Dimas admitted.
He did want to go back to the village bringing Rein and Tio with him. Because Dimas is not calm to let his best friend live alone in this city without anyone protecting. So, it is better that Rein and Tio stay in the village for a more comfortable and quiet life.
"Dimas.this is too sudden for me. Honestly, make a dream of living in a place other than this city I never imagined at all because I think the only place that is safest is this city. I can't, Dim, and I hope you're just joking."
Rein already likes this city and he can't start living in a strange place. Do not think anymore because the stranger he met always gave a negative impression when he saw himself.
And Rein did not want to repeat that fatigue for the third time.
"I'm not kidding, Rein. Both my parents called yesterday to ask me to return to the village immediately. They are old and often sickly so that the fields or fields in the village are not well managed. I can't refuse my parents' request, Rein, and I can't leave you here alone either. I can't see you guys fighting your life here alone so I really hope you want to come with me back home. Stay there and start a new life." Pinta Dimas sincere.
He loved his parents, which is why he did not refuse to go home. However, she also has no heart to leave her fragile best friend struggling alone in a harsh city. That was why Dimas planned to bring Rein and Tio with him back to the village.
Rein did understand the situation and Dimas's unrest, but unfortunately he still rejected this idea.
"Gue still can't come home, Dim."
