"I can't believe you made Frosty go berserk until he scratched you in just a few minutes after you got in here." I shook my head while chuckling at him.
I carefully cleaned the Frosty scars on the back of Paul's hand with cotton wool I had given him ethanol. "Maybe nature is telling you something" I said, adding, turning her attention back to her hand on my lap.
I opened the plaster and closed the wound while Paul grumbled. "Hey, I didn't do anything. That damn cat of yours who doesn't like me." she said annoyed.
I'm glaring. "It wasn't his fault, yeah. He was just trying to protect me."
Paul doesn't want to lose. "Or maybe he was the devil's incarnation." Cynically, pulling a hand from my lap while I tidied up the medicine box.
I put my shoulder down. "Or maybe he didn't like the sneaky guy who tricked his employer into getting into his house." I snored while playing an eyebrow.
"Oh, you feel that way too?" tanyanya.
A soft laugh came from my mouth. "Of course, if that guy wasn't you. I don't know what I'm feeling for you." I lowered my eyes to his injured hand and just treated. "You'll be fine." I said.
Paul grinned as soon as our gazes collided back. "If you keep looking at me like that, I'm sure I won't be okay, love."
Even though we were just sitting on the sofa of the living room in my house, the dimness around us and the distance we were close together made everything feel so intimate and warm. Or maybe because Paul does have the ability to create such an atmosphere? I don't know.
Overall, I feel burned. Very very burnt. My desire to sleep before was now replaced by a desire to look at it for longer, and I realized why I was doing it.
"Thank you for saving my life again, love" Paul said as I did not reply. "I owe you a lot."
"Geez, Paul.it's just a little scratch, you're not gonna die from it." I laughed, clearly expressing interest through my eyes. "So...how about I prepare tea while you pick a movie? I like any genre..."
My words were cut off when Paul suddenly came forward and quickly kissed my lips. I didn't return the kiss even though I wanted to. "Paul, you promised to stop by for a glass of tea. I'm really tired. After all, there are some things I still have to do." I scowled, resentfully shaking my head.
Not only was he the only one who had trouble holding back the passion here, I myself felt the same way. But he seemed to not care about the barrier wall that I had built since.
"I just kissed you. Not to ask you to make love, Bianka" she said with a grin, staring at my drastically changed expression.
"Oh my God..." I exhaled a desperate breath. "I think I should be more specific next time."
"Hey, you're too tense." With flirtatiousness he pushed me. "I miss you so much..."
I smiled and propped my body up on the back of the sofa and stood up. "What kind of tea do you want?" ask her before stepping into the kitchen. I know he doesn't really miss me. She doesn't know me at all, and we only dated once.
"Whatever. I'll drink whatever you make." He watched me for a moment before continuing. "I'll help you..."
"No, no." I quickly shook my head, an awkward laugh coming out from between my lips. "I can make it myself. Stay where you are until I get back, and watch out for Frosty, okay?"
Paul chuckles. "Okay, okay." Her flirtatious blink of an eye made my heart thump even harder as I turned around and stepped towards the kitchen. Oh, Lord... What should I do to her?
While I was preparing tea while fleeing for a moment to save my mental health from its intoxicating charm, I opened my phone and read one incoming message.
From: Travis: Will you have dinner with me later? I hope you're home safe x
I frowned then looked at the clock and groaned when I saw the time showed it was past midnight. I decided to reply to Travis's message tomorrow morning, I didn't know what to do to deal with Paul.
I went back to the living room with two glasses of tea. "Here you go," I handed her a glass of tea with a smile. She accepted it and thanked me while I sat next to her.
"What film is this?" I asked, looking up at the TV hanging on the wall, showing a movie I had never seen.
"You don't know what movie this is?" he asked in a clear surprised tone.
I had not realized how close we were until I turned my head to look at him. I shook my head then brought the glass closer to my mouth, waiting for him to answer while sipping tea.
"What movie is this?" I asked once again, knitting curious brows.
"Avatars. You really never watch it?" He still can't believe it. "Geez. This is a great movie, Bianka!"
"I'm not a movie watcher." I said. "I've heard of the Avatar, but I've never seen it."
Paul simply nodded, returning his gaze forward. I followed his movements, trying to understand the Avatar or whatever it was even though I had missed the first few minutes.
"What are we going to do for a date tomorrow?" I made a sound after a few minutes. I need to figure out the plan in order to get Travis' message back.
Paul turned his head, his eyes and mouth smiling triumphantly. "What if you go to my house? I can prepare dinner, serve you and well, do something that women in general love."
Why is the pull so strong on me, and why do I feel the need to reject it? Ughhhh!
"What about lunch?"
"I'm rehearsing. Wh why? Are you working tomorrow?" Paul finished his tea and went forward to put the glass on the table, then leaned back on the sofa. Leisurely, she stuck her hand out along the back of the sofa behind me and played with my hair.
"No. Travis also invited me to dinner." I put my shoulders down and finished my tea.
Paul was silent for a few seconds until his voice came back. "You're dating Travis?"
"Lunch only." I said. Travis didn't ask me out on a date.
"For her it was a date, Bianka" she said, still playing with my hair.
I laughed, almost leaning my head against his shoulder. "Skips. Let it be my business and Travis." I reminded her not to cross the line by interfering in each other's affairs.
Paul nodded. "alright. It's late, do you mind if I stay the night?"
I frowned, not happy to hear his request, but immediately replied. "Okay, but you sleep on the couch."
The happy expression that had adorned his face just vanished, replaced by a very clear look of shock. "What's? Not in your room?"
I shook firmly. "We know where it ends when you're in my room, Paul. Anyway, I gotta get up early."
"You're off, right? Why do you have to study on holidays?"
We've finished each other's tea while the TV is still airing the Avatar.
"For me to learn and work is as important as playing ball for you, Paul." I said. "I'm sure you keep kicking your balls on holidays."
"Yes, but lately I really want to spend time with you on vacation." He grinned while I rolled my eyes while laughing.
"You're so adorable when you laugh, I love it..."
"Enough." I quickly cut his words. "I'll bring you a pillow and a blanket. Just a minute, okay?"
Paul raised both hands of surrender when I stood up. I stepped upstairs to pick up a pillow and a blanket for her.
When I came back down, I almost screamed as soon as I saw him standing in the living room lowering his pants. Paul stopped his act and looked at me.
"What are you doing?" my murmured with bulging eyes while my body reacted quickly when it saw her tantalizing chest muscles.
I was still standing on the last rung of stairs when Paul answered me. "I sleep naked, Rapunzel. I thought you knew that already..."
