My Love Journey's

My Love Journey's
One Hectic Day's

"Please turn on the radio, Paul." I said, beginning to get nervous sitting in the passenger seat in his car with his legs moving up and down agitated. Paul complied and turned on the radio while glancing at me at a glance. His brows furrowed, looking puzzled by the look of asking why I should rush to the hospital.

..."... Twenty victims have been reported on Glienicke Bridge so far, and it will continue to grow. Two police officers have been shot, and the assailant was successfully bent..."...

"Oh my God." said Paul in disbelief, not knowing how to respond to the news other than shaking his head.

"Is this the Deutschlandfunk channel?" I asked as I reached for my phone to read some other messages from my co-worker telling me to go to the center of the classroom as soon as possible. For some absurd reason, Dr. Gray asked everyone to get there as soon as possible because we were short of officers.

"Yes, this is Deutschlandfunk."

I groan. "Paul, can you go faster?" I said, as much as possible try not to sound upset.

I was upset because I was nervous, I had never experienced a situation like this even though I worked long enough in Indonesia. I'm afraid things in the hospital are really messed up right now, and I don't know what to do.

"Love, this is the allowed maximum speed limit. We'll get into new trouble if I add speed." he replied calmly. I exhaled a desperate breath while shrinking my finger to the hair. "Look. You're gonna be fine. Don't worry, just do as you've learned. Okay, love?" his snoring, rubbing my thighs gently.

Somehow Paul seemed to know that I was worried about my current job, and I greatly appreciated his attitude of being able to quickly read the situation.

I replied to her words with a gentle smile while her smile slowly seemed to be getting wider. I was forced to turn my eyes forward, staring at the streets as soon as I felt Paul's dark eyes start to make me feel hot and burning.

None of us spoke throughout the rest of the trip to the hospital, the horrifying news heard from the radio broadcast filled our ears and minds.

As soon as we arrived, I opened my seatbelt before the car stopped in front of the hospital lobby. I could see some ambulances coming in through the back door, and soon realized I had to get ready as soon as possible.

"Hey, calm down" said Paul, holding back a laugh, we had been silent since we heard the terrible news.

I looked at him and took a deep breath. "Sorry, I just. I really need to get in."

Paul nodded his head. "All right," I've opened the car door and I'm getting ready to get out.

Then suddenly Paul cupped my face and pulled me in for a farewell kiss. I was careless to make eyes, but quickly controlled myself and returned the kiss. Suddenly my whole body seemed to light up, and I held one hand up her hair during our kiss.

The attraction I felt for her had only grown over the past two days, and the awareness of the hospital situation forced me to retreat before she even had a chance to deepen her kiss.

Paul watched me closely, I cleared my throat. "Thank you for last night, I really enjoyed my time with you." I murmured softly before his lips.

"Yes, me too." she agreed. "I'll call you when I get back to Berlin."

"Oh, sure.." I said like a fool, only to remember that he had to train out of town for the next few weeks. "Have fun and be careful, okay?"

"Thank you, Rapunzel."

I got out of the car and half ran into the hospital building and into the dressing room to put on my uniform. After which, I hurriedly stepped into the emergency center. Everything there seems to be going on in a mess.

Without me knowing, time is rolling so fast. There are ten people under Dr. Greys. Thankfully, they were not too bad, but still injured and got some small stitches or other treatments like that.

I galloped toward a boy I had not treated for long while carrying a box of juice. "Hey, boy, want some juice?"

He was walking alone along the bridge when it happened. Both of her parents were still on their way to the hospital, but she obviously looked very scared of the syringe and the condition made it quite difficult for me to sew the wound on her thigh.

He still looked somewhat pale, yet still received the juice box with a small smile on his lips. "Thank you."

"How are you feeling now?" ask him, standing beside the bed where he lay. I guess he's no more than ten years old.

"I'm doing fine. You look almost as scared as I was when you bandaged my wounds, do you know that, Miss?" He drank the juice using a small straw, looking at me curiously.

I was so tired and grateful to be able to rest even for a moment just to make sure this kid was okay. We're not too busy right now, and the intern nurses are checking patients in the emergency department.

A small laugh slid from my mouth, my shoulders and upper back still feeling very tense. I've been working for about six hours, taking turns taking care of the victims of the attack on Glienicke Bridge.

"Oh, I'm not afraid, kid.." I replied, shaking her head with a deep smile. "Maybe a little. You know, syringes are really creepy."

He nodded, eagerly agreeing. Before one of us continued the chat, the caller radio hanging on the waist of my pants started to ring. It had been vibrating nonstop for hours, but somehow this time it felt different.

My smile dimmed as I read the message on my caller's radio, and I quickly said goodbye to the boy and stepped out of his treatment room.

"Hurry up, Bianka! Hold the rag..." With a loud, almost snapping voice, Dr. Grey spoke as soon as I walked into the other treatment room.

"He's lost too much blood, doc..." I spoke a second later, realizing the wound I was holding was covered in gauze but not enough to hold back the rush of blood flow, while Dr. Gray took several steps back to pick up the syringe and several other medical devices.

Then I realized something. "The ten arteries are torn," I said frantically as I turned to Dr. Grey is now rushing over to me. The middle-aged woman we were dealing with was unconscious and her heart rate increased rapidly. "Oh, God, he's going to have a heart attack..."

"Revelation!" said Dr. Grey pushed me and stood where I was before. "Emma, help me,"

Just like a child who had just been scolded by his parents, I took a step back, staring helplessly at the other nurse who had replaced me while Dr. Grey began giving her instructions. "Rest, Bianka. You can't be expected at all right now" he said, his tone sounding even more sinister because my mood was so bad. Then without saying anything, I left the room and headed straight for the elevator.

I was embarrassed, but soon realized I shouldn't feel that way. I've been working well for the last few hours, and this is the craziest situation I've ever had while being a nurse.

I got into the elevator and went down to the second floor. There is a treatment room under renovation. There are several beds that are often used by guards to rest during long shifts. I am a new nurse here compared to my other colleagues, but every day there are surprises that make me feel tired physically and mentally. The atmosphere of working in Germany is very different from in Indonesia.

I sat on one of the beds and leaned my back against the wall and closed my eyes while exhaling. I felt calm for a moment before my composure was interrupted by the mobile phone vibrating in the back pocket of my pants.

From: Stacey: Bee, I saw the incident in the treatment room. Are you all right?

To: Stacey: Yeah, I'm fine. It wasn't a big deal, I just needed to rest for a few minutes and get back to work.

From: Stacey: Ah, don't be so strong... Sometimes Dr. Grey is a bit outrageous but he's one of the best here. Rest, I'll replace you temporarily. Love you's...

To: Stacey: Thank you x

Just as I was about to lie down, my phone shook again. But this time it wasn't Stacey who sent the message...

From: Paul: Hey, are you busy?

To: Paul: Not as busy as this morning. I'm taking a break for a while...

From: Paul: Good... Are you okay?

To: Paul: Yes. Didn't you say you'd let me know after you got back to Berlin?

From: Paul: Bianka, have you seen the news that is going viral now?

To: Paul: ???

From: Paul: All right, I'll send you a screenshot. Waita minute...

I squealed as I looked at the screenshot that Paul had just sent me. An article from a famous gossip site with the title:

..."Paul Klug, Middle Attacker and Assistant Captain Legendary, Dating A Mysterious Girl."...

The article was accompanied by a blurry photo taken while we were having dinner yesterday, but our faces were both clear enough to be recognizable. In the photo I grinned in response to something Paul said, and we looked relaxed.

To: Paul: What the hell is that?!

From: Paul: A kind of entertainment for housewives. I just want to remind you before anything happens, love. There are other articles too, quite a lot, but I like them to call me legendary...

I didn't return the message, confused as to what to say in response to the message. The possibility that people would recognize me through the photo instantly scared me and I really wanted to sleep now, hoping that when I woke up this matter would just disappear.

"Dan, there..." I jumped, almost screaming when I heard someone talking to me. I raised my head and found a young doctor standing in the doorway.

"Oh, Gosh, you're freaking me out." I said as I chuckled softly.

Really, the best view I could see all day I was in the hospital. He looks quite handsome with his dark blonde hair and bright blue eyes, plus, he's a doctor.

"Are your days hard, Bianka?" ask her while sitting her ass next to mine. My sleep plan will be disrupted by the presence of this man.

"Ah, do you know my name?" Dr. Grey was the doctor in charge of watching over me and some of the other interns, and also, the hospital I worked at was pretty big and I didn't think he'd know my name.

He puts his shoulders. "Dr. Grey talks about you a lot. She said you were one of the best interns she'd ever met." He watched me for a moment, while I felt somewhat amused by his words that indirectly praised me. "By the way, I'm Travis" he said, introducing himself.

"It's good to see you, Travis." I quietly yawned, putting my phone back in my pants pocket.

"What if we go out and get some coffee? I think it'll make you a little better."
