I nearly dropped my credit card and mobile phone from my hand when I heard a shocking hoarse voice right behind me. I turned my head to look at a footballer I had taken care of yesterday, and obviously I still remember he should have rested for two days.
And now he's here, in the nightclub...
"You surprised me!" I said in a loud voice to overcome the blaring music thump while laughing, not knowing what to say about this unexpected encounter.
He grins. "Same, I was scared to see you too," Then he stepped forward to be able to lean on the bar table. "What are you doing here, Bianka?" His gaze shifted from a bartender who seemed busy preparing orders, he looked at me who was now a bit drunk.
I imitate his style. "It's Friday and I'm lucky to get a weekend off." I said casually and then shook my head. "You want.. Why are you here? Didn't I tell you you need to rest for a few days? The club is definitely not the place you deserve to go now, Mister...."
He seemed comforted as he looked at me with his dark eyes. I just found out she has a tattoo on her arm, but it's not clear enough to confirm the image.
He chuckles subtly. "You're not drunk, are you?" he murmured, then called the bartender.
I shrugged my shoulders. "I'm still conscious, just calm down." My eyebrows were furrowed because I had been waiting here for centuries, and this man managed to get the bartender's attention with just a small nod.
"I take it as no" He smiled at me as I looked at him.
"What can I give you, Klug?" The bartender left another customer, who was patiently lining up behind the man who had no idea what his name was.
"Three Coronas, and bring them as soon as possible" he said before looking back at me. "What do you need, Rapunzel?"
I combed my hair with my hand and extended my other arm further to the table, palm facing down. "Four Malibu cocktails, thank you..." The bartender nodded and hurried to prepare.
I turned to face the man's side while he still leaned his hand on the counter, giving me a very beautiful sight. I watched as he took out some money from his wallet, and instantly my brows furrowed.
The money he spent was too much if only to pay for three bottles of Corona.
"Oh, no," I quickly shook my head, making him look at me as I started waving my credit card in front of his face. "I'll pay for my own drink."
He chuckled and shook his head. "You saved my life yesterday. I'll pay."
"I'm just giving you paracetamol," I reasoned, beginning to feel uncomfortable with the strange gazes of some of the men at the end of the bar table.
"And now I thank you for that," He squinted at a glance, the corner of his lips drawn into a small grin.
"You know, you can't drink alcohol after a brain injury," Then I leaned a little closer until she could hear my words between loud music. "That could increase the risk of depression."
"It's not my first concussion, Birdie. After someone told my teammates I couldn't play in training tonight, the coach forced me to rest" he explained, teasingly in his voice, "You automatically force me to go for clubbing."
I grunt. "You could've stayed home to rest ..."
The black t-shirt she wore, along with the black skinny jeans, clearly depicted her hardened body. I shamelessly looked at her, and she seemed to be well aware of my wild gaze examining every inch of her body.
"What's fun about that? I wouldn't be able to see you at home, would I?"
I gave him a small smile when his three Corona orders arrived in front of him. Then the man nodded at the bartender and handed the money to him, then noticed when the bartender left to prepare my order.
"Sorry, what's your name?" I laughed awkwardly when he looked back at me. My drunken state made me babble unconsciously.
"You don't know my name?" He raised his eyebrows towards me slightly before clearing his throat and shaking his head. "Sorry, ignore that. It was the single most arrogant thing I've ever said."
"I'm Paul Klug. Do you have a last name, Bianka?"
"Bianca Becker," I said to her with a small nod before my phone suddenly shook violently in my hand, almost making me jump. We both looked down. My friends deliberately sent spam messages, asking if I was lost and fine.
"Is that your boyfriend?" Paul cleared his throat, turning his stout body to face me. I shook my head with a laugh, then sent a reply to tell my friends that I would return to our table in a few minutes.
"No, I'm still alone. My friends are a little worried because I'm too long." I looked at him and saw a mischievous grin forming on his lips.
"You could've told them that if you met the coolest football player, I'm sure they'd understand." he joked, and I laughed again. I gently extended my hand along his arm, in an almost flirtatious manner, as our distance was very close.
"Here we go" I didn't have time to stare any longer into his eyes, for the bartender had already pushed four cocktails on the table towards me.
I thanked the bartender before returning to face the wonderful man before me.
"You're so beautiful" she muttered to me, then easily grabbed three bottles of corona on the table while I struggled to carry my order.
I chuckle. "I am the worst creation ever" I murmured, looking puzzled at the glass of cocktails I could not carry.
Paul grinned happily. "Let me help you, Rapunzel." I nodded then turned through the crowd towards the table where Stacey, Camille and Elise were waiting.
They screeched when they saw me, looking just as drunk as me. I felt relieved after putting all three cocktails I brought onto the table without spilling any of their contents, while Paul followed behind and placed the fourth cocktail.
I looked at my friends' faces as they watched Paul closely, and suddenly my body trembled softly as Paul's hard chest swept across my back.
I knew that until Stacey opened her mouth and said something to Paul, it was certain that she would embarrass me. And before that happened, I turned to face the cool-looking Paul in his black casual suit. "Thank you." I muttered with a smile.
He nodded then pulled the phone out of his pants pocket. "May I keep your contacts? Who knows I'll need paracetamol again someday." He grinned after seeing me laugh.
I grabbed her phone and quickly typed my contact number there, then made sure it was correct and returned the phone. "You want to join us?" tanyaku later.
All three of my friends had gone down to the dance floor and were dancing while teasing at least three different men since we first entered this place. As for me, so far I've only talked to Paul Klug, the sexy footballer.
"My friends are waiting." Paul pushed his chin to one of the tables in a darker corner of the room. But I can still see. wow, okay. Three maids dressed only in underwear, and one of them was kissing Paul's friend who picked him up at the hospital yesterday. "Enjoy the rest of your night with your friends, I'll call you later" he said with a smile and disappeared behind the crowd.
When I turned my head back, Elise started attacking me with her strange question. "Do you know he's Leo?" He began, the zodiac divination will be heard from this moment. Thanks for the cocktail that got her drunk.
"I guess it doesn't end fast if you find out." I said with a laugh.
Elise just shook her shoulders, sipping her drink. "Of course I know his zodiac, he's vice-captain of the German national football team" he said. "You need to be wary of Leo, they can be..."
"Did he need paracetamol yesterday?" Camille suddenly cut off Elise's speech and immediately drew a conclusion.
I'm shaking. "Change topics!" before the conversation we continued everywhere. "This is not important at all. He just bought me a drink as an expression of gratitude because I helped him yesterday. And maybe I had subconsciously embarrassed myself in front of him. Well, this is my third cocktail, so..."
"Oh, Lord!" Camille squealing. "Paul Klug bought this drink?" he said, sighing passionately, I felt as if he could reach the top in his seat.
"Oh, Camille. Please.enlighten your filthy thoughts!"
