My Love Journey's

My Love Journey's
Back to routine.

When I woke up for the second time today, it was because the afternoon sunlight that had infiltrated in from the sidelines of the curtain, hit me directly in the face. I groaned and kicked the blanket and stuck my foot on the edge of the bed. Some inhumane sounds echoed around the room as I tried to stretch my limbs. I can't remember the last time my body had such a strenuous workout like last night.

Not wanting to linger and let my body laze around, I shuffled down the bed and walked out of the room, finding Paul sitting in the living room with Sean. "Good morning" I said to both of them. Although it was already past noon, but I just got out of the room, so I guess there's no harm in saying good morning.

The two turned their heads, stopping talking about whatever they discussed earlier.

"The sun is about to set" Panda replied from the kitchen, clucking while shaking his head. "What was the battle so hard last night that you were able to move your legs this afternoon?" he said loudly, staring at Paul and I alternated with a nosy look.

I rolled my eyeballs. "Where are the others?" It is free to answer questions that will only bring about a myriad of other questions.

Panda walked while carrying a pot full of tea and placed it on the table. "Have been home since this morning" he said.

I walked into the kitchen, poured a glass of water and then finished it in one gulp. Water never disappoints you. When I returned to the living room, I looked at the wall clock which now shows the number four three through eighteen. I groan. It's time to return to the city and end the calm here.

I heard Paul's footsteps behind me as I went back to my room to get ready to go home. "I can't believe you just left me there." she muttered as she closed the door.

I smiled, talking while taking clothes out of the closet. "I thought you were having a nice chat with them, and I didn't want to interrupt."

"Eh, but I'd rather spend some time alone with you."

"Oh, sorry, Paul... I gotta get back. My work is waiting." I walked to the bathroom to clean my face and change my clothes, while Paul faintly grumbled from the room. It was so nice to hear his grunts.

"Do you still want to be here?" ask me while putting clothes in the backpack.

Paul shakes. "For what?"

I shrugged my shoulders. "Maybe you want to clean your lungs before you go back to the fight with pollution." It's fact. The air of Jakarta was the worst of all the cities I've ever been to.

He grunts. "Pollution isn't a big deal as long as you're with me." she said.

I turned around, raising both eyebrows dramatically. "Who said I'd be with you?" my reply, pretending to be cynical to tease her, inwardly smiled at the shock on Paul's face that he could not hide.

"You're serious?" His expression. "I thought after last night we were okay? No?"

"Well, technically yes. But..." I folded both hands, giving him a serious look. "I never said I wanted to be with you. At least not yet."

"Love..."

"What?"

"What do I have to do to get you to come back to me?"

He made me feel something in his words. He made me feel wanted. There is a difference between needed and desired. When someone needs you, he will use you for his own good, but when someone wants you, he is willing to spend his time with you and will not hurt you.

I could barely hold back the tears of hearing the despair in his tone. Opening my arms wide, I approached and pulled Paul into my arms. "You don't have to do anything, Klug. I will always be with you. Till whenever." I murmured, whispering the last sentence.

Paul exhaled a sigh of relief, the tension he had previously felt on his shoulder slowly evaporating as he looked up. A smile graced the corners of his lips. "Why are you so happy to tease me now, hm?"

I shrugged my shoulders. "Come," hiss. "Maybe it's because I miss you too much, or it's because I've started to change. Well, you know, people's lives here are much more relaxed than in Germany. And, I myself feel like their habits are already contagious to me."

"Does that mean that the unsociable Bianka is gone?"

"Hey, who says I don't like to hang out? I'm friends with anyone, never picky."

Paul grinned, raising his eyebrows. "really?"

Not to waste time, Paul immediately rushed to collect all his luggage, then we returned to Jakarta using my car after saying goodbye to Panda and put Paul's car in the villa.

After driving for almost three hours fighting the rough road to Jakarta, we finally arrived at the hotel where Paul was staying exactly 30 minutes before my working hours began.

"I told you there's no need to drive me here, you can be late, love" Paul said.

I glanced at him with a smile. "I don't want someone to cheat, or even kidnap you." I replied, winking.

Paul nodded while chuckling. "See you tomorrow? In two days I'll be out of town to see the team I'm training for." He reached out his hand to take his bag.

I'm nodding. "See you tomorrow."

Before opening the door, Paul pulled me and gave me a full kiss that made my stomach growl. I replied with no less great until we were huffing. "Sometimes I wish you weren't an enterprising man working so I could pull you into my room."

My laughter exploded immediately. "In your dreams, Klug."

Paul kissed me one more time, then said, "Be careful, Mrs. Clug. I love you."

"I love you." I said back, then he got out and closed the car door.

I returned to the streets and headed straight for the hospital, hoping that today there would be no emergency as my body had begun to struggle due to the long and tiring journey. Not that I don't like being alone with Paul, but I'm tired of being tired, no matter how much fun the trip is.

I parked the car in a special area of hospital staff, continuing inside until I heard someone call my name upon entering the lobby. "Miss Bianka,"

I turned my head and found Kevin waving with a smile beside his mother. "Hey, Kevin." I stepped closer to them. "How are you doing today?" I asked while touching his shoulder.

Kevin smiled very widely, showing his row of white and neat teeth. "I'm doing fine. The doctor said that I'm gonna get well soon, so we don't have to come here anymore. Isn't that right, mom?" he chirped cheerfully, then looked up at his mother who was smiling just as widely and nodded.

"Oh, I'm so glad to hear that."

Suddenly his face changed. "But..." Kevin turned back to his mother as if asking for permission, and his mother nodded her head again. "Uncle Sebastian is moving out of town. He said his work here is done if I recover. I don't want him to leave us. Will you help me persuade him?"

"really?" Kevin muttered 'Yes.'

I'm speechless. Sebastian never talked about moving out of town with me. Is it because I rejected it? Geez, I'd love to respond to Kevin's request, but I have absolutely no right to ban his uncle. Sebastian is free to determine his own life. Especially after what happened between us.

Lucky, Kevin's mother first voiced my legacy. He must have seen my expression change. "Darling, Uncle Sebastian has decided to move. No one can persuade him. You yourself know his head is as hard as a rock, don't you?"

Kevin lowered. "Then who will take care of me when Mommy works?"

My heart was filled with words coming out of her tiny lips. I watched for myself how close Kevin was to Sebastian, and I think there's one thing I can do to cheer him up.

I rubbed Kevin's shoulder. "Hey, what if you're with me while I'm off? I have a lot of nieces and nephews, you won't be lonely when your mom works, hm?"

Excitement gushed from his eyes, he smiled again. "really?" I'm nodding. "Thank you, Miss." muttered Kevin as he hugged my thigh.

"I don't know how to thank you, Bianka." Kevin's mother hugged me.

"Ah, no need. I'm glad I could help you. I'll let you know when I'm off, okay?" I said to his mother as our embrace slipped.

"okay."
