Basically, Verg is divided into seven classes which if sorted from the lowest there are Insect-class, Normal-class, Beast-class, Chimera-class, Goliath-class, Behemoth-class, and lastly Titan-class.
The classification of the Verg class is generally based on the size of the body of a Verg, but the factors that most affect this classification are its level of danger as well as its ability.
Just take Ant-Bee as a simple example, a creature that recently became the subject of Haikal and Heru competition.
Ant-Bee is classified as Verg Insect class in addition to its insect-like body characteristics, its own size and abilities are not too dangerous even for Blazer candidates.
Ant-Bee is a Verg the size of a small dispenser if it has to be compared, then the ability to watch out for just biting, clawing, and stinging. Verg's weakness lies in its wings and abdomen, more precisely in its sting.
The strength and speed of Ant-Bee itself is not so impressive compared to most other Verg Floater models that it is very weak and easy to kill as long as someone knows their weaknesses.
This reason is what causes the Ant-Bee to be grouped in Insect-class, a class that is harmless if only one but can rise in level to Normal-class up if in large numbers.
Different from Insect-class, dozens to dozens of Normal-class Vergs were not something trivial to a Blazer candidate. The Normal-class Verg had strength comparable to an Advance-level Blazer up despite being injured.
"Heru, are you okay?" Haikal asked after separating the head of a Verg from his body using a Soul Saber. His body and clothes looked so dirty after fighting dozens to dozens of Normal-class Vergs, mostly caused by blood stains and soil dust.
Heru who had just broken Verg's last neck then sat limp on the ground with a long sigh, "I'm fine, just exhausted."
Haikal gave a small smile as he nodded slowly at the condition of his best friend, he then sat on the ground after turning off the Soul Saber in his hand and set his breath. Although Haikal could hold a large amount of soul energy, it didn't mean that he couldn't run out of steam, especially after fighting a swarm of Normal-class Vergs.
Right now in front of them lay dozens to dozens of Verg corpses, most of them normal grade Vergs, but not a few Verg Insect-classes mingled in between.
Heru and Haikal looked at each other for a moment after witnessing the number of Vergs they had killed, then laughed as they were both happy and relieved to survive from this group of Normal-class Vergs.
Behind them are Jack, Salvia, Verna, and Cecil in a sitting position with innumerable sweat grains running down their bodies. The four of them smiled knowing the two men before them looked fine.
Haikal and Heru's victory is impossible to achieve with just the two of them alone, Jack and the girls also help from behind using long-range magic while recovering soul energy in turn. Cecil is no exception.
Although not very prominent in the fight, Cecil's role in directing Verg's position during the battle was very helpful for Haikal and Heru who were on the front lines. He also occasionally staged attacks on Verg, which could threaten Haikal and Heru.
"I can't believe we can deal with this many Verg Normal-class with just six people" Heru still wasn't sure they had completely wiped out all the approaching Vergs before.
Haikal and Jack smiled wryly at Verna's reply, while Heru sneered mockingly at Verna's chest, "Don't boast of your little chest like that, you'll look like you're going to be looking at me—"
Not yet had Heru finish his sentence a pebble darted quickly hit right on his forehead which caused himself to fall, which caused him to fall, making everyone there glare violently before hurriedly holding down Verna who was now lifting a stone the size of a head.
"Try saying that again! Say it again!" Verna exclaimed loudly wanting to beat Heru to a pulp, while the man she was targeting himself grimaced in pain while rubbing his forehead.
Haikal patted the eel noticing the silly actions of his best friend before helping Heru wake up, "You are this intentionally or what? You know, Verna had a complex about her chest a long time ago."
"Well, I thought he had become more docile after the battle of life and then, it turned out I was wrong," explained Heru holding his head which still felt so sick and dizzy.
"What do you mean tame?! You mean I'm a wild animal?!" Verna who had been taken away from Haikal and Heru did not accept the words of her lover, she tried to wriggle from the restraints of Cecil and Salvia, "Let go of me! Let me teach you a little fucking gorilla lesson!"
Heru's forehead twitched at the word 'gorila' from Verna's mouth, "Gorila? Then you're the witch with her wand!"
Instantly, all the sounds in the place disappeared, replaced by a thick killing aura emanating from Verna's body. Salvia and Cecil, who had been holding Verna, also immediately released their restraints, as well as Jack who had been trying to calm Verna.
Haikal also immediately took off Heru's shoulder and took a step back not wanting to be exposed to Verna's anger, while the man who was being targeted by Verna broke out in a cold sweat as soon as he realized his words this time were too excessive.
"Darling, I'm just kidding, okay? You're not a witch, you're the most beautiful girl I've ever met, so please keep your Elemental Staff back, yes," said Heru whose body began to tremble violently.
Unfortunately Verna did not take a single word, she pointed her wand which now emitted a lump of fire at Heru and muttered, "Red Burst."
Not wanting to feel any more pain from now on, Heru ran away as fast as he could, but Verna did not let him run away. He chased after Heru while chanting some other moves showering his lover from the sky with magic.
While Heru and Verna were playing a chase, Haikal and the others who witnessed all of that from afar could only smile wryly while looking at Heru in surprise, "I'm inexhaustible, do they love or hate each other?"
Of course the question was not answered because it never came out of their heads.
As Haikal and others watched the chase between Verna and Heru from a distance, an exclamation was heard from one direction. They turned to the source of the voice and found a group of small blazers running towards them.
"Ah, right too. Our purpose here is to look and help defend the walls of the estuary, why do we stop here?" Jack rubbed his chin voicing his opinion which was greeted by the confusion of Haikal, Salvia, as well as Cecil who had just remembered him.
