51. Hirogami Sakuya's

The arrival of a girl in the same uniform as herself riding the Skyboard made Haikal's eyes wide open, because not only did he not recognize the girl but the number of Soul Devices used by the girl. Haikal had never seen that much Soul Device on the same one Blazer.

Skyboard itself is one of the most expensive Soul Device he has ever known, because the Soul Device is able to float a few meters above the ground. One of the rare top-tier Soul Devices that only nobles could possess, even only a few nobles could possess it so rare this item.

"In addition to the Skyboard, this girl also has two Soul Device in the form of a gun." Haikal's gaze this time fell on the pair of pistols the girl was holding, a little hard to believe the sight, "Could he be from a certain noble family?"

The girl sighed softly before descending from her Skyboard, "Look at you Skymaze Academy students as well, right? My name is Sakuya Hirogami from class 2-C." Sakuya slightly bowed herself when introducing herself.

"Hyrogamous? Sakuya brother is from the Sengoku Empire family?" Haikal slightly raised an eyebrow when he heard it, while Sakuya nodded slowly confirming Haikal's question.

Since the end of Third Doom, the last major war against the Verg, five countries have survived. Each country changed its form of government to a monarchy as a peace treaty, including Wulodhasia.

Among the refugees from other countries, Wulodhasia is a country that receives a lot of refugees because of its location close to other countries after the Verg invasion decades ago.

After Third Doom ended some refugees wanted to return and rebuild their country, but not all of them succeeded. Most of them failed to rebuild their country because of its location outside the border which is Verg's territory.

Although the king of Wulodhasia often sent military forces to protect the development of the country, still the onslaught of Verg was not something that was easily handled. Most of the refugees who were intent on rebuilding the country surrendered and returned to Wulodhasia, while the rest succeeded but the government came under the jurisdiction of Wulodhasia.

Among the many refugees is only one who refused military aid Wulodhasia, a refugee who was formerly a Japanese citizen. They returned to their homeland and built the country from scratch with their supporters.

It took them decades to recover and reclaim their homeland, but it was not in vain. Although not all of its territory has been recaptured, Japan actually managed to rise again, this time they raised the flag under the name of the Sengoku Empire.

The rise of the Sengoku Empire shows that humanity is indeed able to fight back against the Verg, as a result of countries that were once passive became active in fighting Verg outside the borders in order to take back lost human territory.

"Ah, my name is Haikal Alendra from class 1-A." Awakening from his momentary daydream, Haikal introduced himself.

Sakuya's eyes opened wide knowing the name of the young man before her, "Haikal? You're the Arcless Blazer who defeated Edward Ghaetas without the Soul Arc?"

Haikal was a little confused by the nickname Sakuya mentioned just now, but among the students participating in the Welcome Tournament he was the only one who could defeat Edward in the semi-finals.

"Fans?" Haikal was surprised to hear Sakuya's statement, he felt he had never had a fan so far.

Sakuya later explained that she was a member of the recently established Haikal Fan Club, stating that the club was founded by some students who were amazed by Haikal after his match against Edward.

Sakuya too excitedly explained until some people who happened to pass by there noticed Sakuya for quite a while.

"Well, brother, I think I understand enough about my fan club...." Feeling a little embarrassed to notice some people passing by there, Haikal asked Sakuya to stop. He then asked about his nickname.

"Oh, Arcless Blazer? That's the nickname that Skymaze students have pinned for you, that nickname is also recognized by the Wulodhasia Blazer Union Association," Sakuya replied lightly.

Haikal chokes himself knowing he has a nickname recognized by the Blazer Association itself, even though he cannot be said to be an official Blazer considering Haikal is still a Blazer candidate at Skymaze Academy.

Haikal has found out many things about the world per-Blazeran, one of which is an anti-Verg protective field used to ward off the existence of Verg. According to the article he had read, it should have been a Normal grade Verg like Sea Monkey that was impossible to pass through the protective field.

Adele is one of the largest cities in Wulodhasia, its protective anti-Verg terrain is of such high quality that even the Goliath-class Verg will have difficulty penetrating it. But what he saw today was neither the Verg Goliath-class nor the Behemoth-class, but rather only a dozen Normal-class Vergs were able to enter the Adele realm undetected.
