Absolute Soul

Absolute Soul
15. Jack Calvin's

Today Haikal does not do the usual morning run, but sits quietly practicing his soul energy by flowing all soul energy throughout the body and maintaining that amount without more or less.

It had been more than four hours since he started training, but his soul energy had barely escaped control in the slightest. Perhaps only one to three times he could not sustain the expenditure of his soul energy, other than that everything was safely restrained.

"Sister, it's 08:00. Finish your training and get ready" call Seran from the back porch.

Haikal stopped his practice and stood up when he heard Seran's voice. While walking to the bathroom, he stretched his muscles first feeling a little achy having been silent for four hours.

"Instead, this exercise was very effective against controlling my soul energy," Haikal clenched his right hand before washing himself.

It did not take long for him to clean up and put on his uniform, Haikal was ready to leave in less than half an hour.

"Mother, I'm leaving" Haikal said before leaving for Skymaze academy as he asked inwardly, "Mother overtime again, huh?"

On the road Haikal thought of several things about the strength of his soul and his never-rising Soul Arc.

He had tried to summon his Soul Arc many times, but his typical Blazer weapon could not be found anywhere in the sea of unconsciousness. Although his soul power increased quite drastically, without the Soul Arc he could not be called a Blazer.

While walking while immersed in his thoughts, Haikal suddenly felt a strong wind blowing from his left side that made him realize. He could see the wind-making figure, it was Heru who was running with all his might using his soul energy.

"What made him run so fast?" Haikal was astonished to see Heru running like a ghost, then find out his own answer before running as fast as he could, "The Ceremony!"

"Ugh, apes really dah," lamented Haikal felt tired and hot.

"Shut up! Don't anyone talk or you add the punishment!" A teacher heard Haikal's complaint, but his voice was very small.

Being late to attend the flag ceremony held every Monday, Haikal and several other students in the law stood in the middle of the field under the hot sun while taking a respectful attitude towards the Dwiwarna, he said, the royal flag of Wulodhasia.

It had been an hour since Haikal and several other disciples stood here, obviously they were already exhausted from not using soul energy in serving the punishment. For Haikal who is trained physically, it is quite tiring, of course, other students who are punished are even more tired.

"Well, it's hot today, yeah. Aren't you hot?" Said a student next to Haikal.

"Ehm, how do you conclude that?" Reply Haikal looked at the disciple with a puzzled expression.

The disciple smiled gently, "Your memory is not so much."

"A-ah, I've gotten used to this kind of thing, maybe my body has adjusted," Haikal explained smiling wryly.

The student had blond hair in the kingdom of Wulodhasia, then his face could also be said to attract the attention of most women, there was also a charismatic aura that made others interested in him. Unfortunately the charisma is not effective against Haikal.

"Haikal, Haikal Alendra from 1-A." Haikal welcomed Jack's helping hand with his left hand in surprise.

He thought that Jack was a second-grade student or more from the looks of him, it turns out they are still one class. After a few seconds they let go of each other's hands.

"Jack, you said 1-C class, didn't you?"

"True, why is it?"

"Do you know a girl named Verna Galvoria?" Haikal asked could not help his curiosity any longer.

Verna Galvoria is the full name of Verna, one of only two childhood friends besides Heru. For a long time he had not met face to face with Verna despite being in one school and he had not heard at all about the statistics or Soul Arc owned by his female friend.

"Verna Galvoria? Who doesn't know the Witch Queen in our army?" Said Jack rubbing his chin slowly remembering one of the students in his class.

"Witch Queen?" Haikal slightly widened his eyes before returning to ask.

According to Jack's explanation, Verna is the most famous Blazer Wizard category in their generation. That was because his intelligence statistic reached the seventh point, the highest point that could be measured by a power-detecting crystal and soul form and was known in general. Not only that, even his special stats were worth six points!

Although the stats other than those two types of stats were very low, it was certain that Verna was the strongest Blazer category Wizard in their class—no, perhaps even in the entire Skymaze academy.

That's how Verna got the nickname of the Witch Queen from her surroundings.

"Hahaha, as expected of Verna," inner Haikal smiled wryly as he sighed unexpectedly that his childhood friend was beyond his shadow.

Unlike her and Heru, Verna comes from a Galvoria family that is famous for its Job-Job Blazer breed. Although he had expected Verna to have high soul power stats, it was inconceivable that the girl reached the highest point on intelligence stats that affected the kind of release of their soul power.

As is commonly known, Blazers are able to cultivate their own soul energy into a certain power that can increase the physical body drastically, at least that's how a Warrior-category Blazer fights.

Blazer category Wizard itself cultivate soul energy into a certain power that belongs to his Soul Arc, then his Soul Arc will realize the wishes of its users in a form called magic.

With the high points of intelligence and special that Verna has as a Blazer, of course the magic power will be very terrible even though not so trained, "I should not mess with Verna, I'm not messing with Verna, I could have been crushed with her magic, "the inner Haikal imagined Verna angry.

A moment after sighing at how horrifying Verna was, Haikal found the figure of the teacher watching them standing in front of him with a one-meter-long wooden ruler in his hand.

"You dare to talk casually after I commemorate, yes," said the teacher while banging his wooden ruler to the floor of the ceremonial field.

Seeing the arrival of the supervising master with his flagship weapon, Haikal and Jack could only swallow his saliva while hoping that the bruises on their bodies were covered by clothes.
