Absolute Soul
75. Final VI Match

"Sial... I'm off guard," Haikal muttered grimacingly feeling pain all over his body from being hit by the rubble of the stadium wall, not just on the cheek where Jack hit him. Haikal tried to get up from the small rubble that hit him, but he had not yet moved, Jack had landed right on his stomach after jumping high, "Argh!"

Jack did not have mercy on Haikal, he then netted a kick right on Haikal's chin making the young man bounce up quite high. Jack jumped following Haikal's body and landed one more punch, "Eat this!"

Braak!!

The punch landed right on Haikal's right cheek which sent him flung to the other side of the stadium wall, destroying the arena even more.

"To-head...." One of the teachers argued that this match should be stopped because it not only endangers the lives of Jack and Haikal, but also the losses that must be borne by the academy's finances are also not small in order to improve the arena.

"Huh? We hold a Welcome Tournament every year and suffer a lot of losses due to the damage caused, why protest now?" Veindal was not happy with the teacher's opinion.

"But Chief, this is already a delay for the size of the tournament!" The teacher had no intention of retreating even though Veindal rejected his proposal. He believes many teachers agree with his opinion.

Veindal let out a heavy sigh hearing the teacher insist on his stance, "The tournament was held to find the best Blazer candidates and find ways to develop and direct their development so that humans can fight back against Verg out there."

"If we stop now without knowing their full strength, how can we direct them all the way to the top?" Veindal unmitigatedly stared at the teacher full of anger while exerting pressure of soul energy that was not small.

The teacher trembled feeling Veindal's deep gaze and soul energy pressure, he then sat back down to his chair with no intention of refuting any further. Not only him, the other teachers also did not dare to give their opinions thanks to Veindal's warning.

Veindal's anger subsided when the small debate was over. He then turned his attention back to the arena and looked at Jack and Haikal who were competing, then glanced at his daughter, Salvia, who was on the edge of the arena for a moment.

"True, young seedlings like you are indispensable to the future survival of mankind," Veindal murmured inwardly recalling Verg's movement outside the city growing increasingly alarming.

Back on the field, Jack currently dominates the match. Since then he has continued to attack Haikal who is now lying on the floor helpless, feeling pain in various parts of his body.

"You're satisfied to grimace in pain on the floor like that?" Jack blurt suddenly made Haikal raise his eyebrows for a moment to feel astonished and upset, even though Jack was the one who continued to attack Haikal until he could not get up.

Jack pinched his forehead in response to Haikal's eyes, "What the hell is your view? You think your enemies will give you a chance to rise?"

Jack sprinted towards Haikal and thrust a powerful kick into Haikal's stomach once more, again throwing Haikal far enough to hit the walls of the other stadium. This time it was not destroyed but only created a huge crack there.

Haikal was sitting limply leaning against the wall unable to move. He could only groan in pain while raising his chin and watching Jack, but before Haikal could ascertain the location of his opponent, Jack had been next to him and again gave a powerful kick to Haikal that made him crash to the other side of the arena.

The audience who had been cheering in support of Jack now fell silent because they were surprised not to think Jack had a vile attitude to play his opponent in such a way, while the supporters of Haikal can do nothing but put on a disturbed face to see the champion tortured so.

"He played Haikal without immediately knocking him unconscious? Has Jack been this asshole for a long time?" Salvia who had been watching from the edge of the arena was now on a blackboard, she could not accept seeing Haikal being treated so cruelly by Jack.

Salvia did not know Jack as deeply as Verna or Cecil who were their group mates, but she knew for sure that the young man had no ill intentions on Haikal from the start, but what he saw today proved the allegations wrong.

Jack ignored the reactions of the audience and continued to beat Haikal but without excessive force, was seen trying to beat Haikal while keeping Haikal's consciousness from drifting.

"Enough is enough!" Salvia could no longer accept the treatment Jack gave Haikal, he stood up and intended to enter the arena to stop Jack's actions. Salvia was intercepted by medics with her but she was able to escape easily, until a small wall of fire blocked her path.

Salvia turned towards the origin of the wall of fire with a displeased look, "What do you mean get in my way, Verna?"

"That's exactly my line, what do you mean to interrupt the fight between the two of them?" Verna asked Salvia a question. He was the one behind the wall of fire that blocked Salvia's path.

The urat in the temple of Salvia twitched in disbelief at the words coming out of Verna's mouth, "You think if Haikal was cruelly tortured by Jack like Edward did to me, I could just shut up?!"

"Yes, you should just shut up and watch them fight!" Verna exclaimed loudly while stomping the black stick in her hand against the floor violently, creating a pair of stone hands that grasped Salvia's ankles.

Salvia gritted her teeth in response to Verna's completely unsuspecting response, she pointed at Verna with overflowing anger, "You! How could you let your best friend be treated so cruelly by Jack?! Are you still worthy to call yourself Haikal's best friend?!"

Verna looked down at the floor for a moment to hear Salvia's words, but she did not reply to Salvia's words but tightened the grip of the stone hand on the silver-haired girl's feet.

"Verna, take my foot off right now!" Salvia was eager to exert her snow to free herself, unfortunately her soul energy had not recovered much so she could not do that.

As she wanted to loudly exclaim once again to warn Verna, Salvia's expression suddenly softened as she saw a speck of water flowing out of her eye down her cheek. Salvia was silent for a moment at the strange sight she had never seen from Verna.

"You think I'm willing to see Haikal get beat up by Jack?" Verna raised her voice filling the silence between the two who were in charge a few seconds ago.

Salvia did not understand the meaning of the tears or the words of Verna, only she did not see the lies or the false sadness of the tears.

Verna wiped her tears and looked at Salvia after establishing her determination once more, "I'm the one who asked Jack to act so towards Haikal."
