Absolute Soul

Absolute Soul
70. Final Match

The furore erupted when the hosts declared the match to begin, this was the fight they had been waiting for since the start of this year's tournament.

"Hey, who do you think will win?"

"That's a hard question, you know?"

"Like Verna and Salvia's match, this fight will probably also be as tense, not even impossible more fierce."

The spectators discussed for a moment predicting who came out as champions. Is Haikal Aldra the Arcless Blazer the best dark horse of the year? Or is it Jack 'of All Trade' Calvin, an unexpectedly strong participant who has never been hurt until this round?

It is true that initially most of the audience underestimated Haikal because not only did not include the genius but also Haikal rumored to have not succeeded in awakening his Soul Arc, but in fact Haikal was able to win game after game without defeat even once.

Along with the magnitude of the name Haikal, his strength also began to be recognized as a candidate for Blazer seed even though it had not yet awakened the Soul Arc. Jack's challenge to him at the beginning of the tournament then came to the attention of many spectators.

This battle was eagerly awaited by many, even Guild representatives ranging from small to large Guilds were excited at this match.

"How does it feel, Haikal? Are you watching a lot of people like this?" Jack made small talk before starting to fight, even though the match had officially started.

Haikal raised his eyebrows not expecting Jack to talk to him before a fight, he smiled wryly as he scratched his cheek, "I'm actually still not used to being noticed by many people like this."

He took a deep breath for a moment before raising back his voice looking at Jack with a serious look in his eyes, "But on the other side, on the other, I also want to ascertain how far I can go between you geniuses."

"Is that so." Jack smiled slightly in response to Haikal. He did not laugh at Haikal's words, instead Jack felt moved to be considered a genius by this young man before him.

After the small conversation Jack took out his Soul Arc, Forbidden Magic Card and drew the top card before raising his right arm forward, a clover card symbolizing magic, and the, then create some green-colored magic balls made from soul energy, "Then let's enjoy this fight."

As soon as he finished saying so, Jack shot his magic balls towards Haikal at a speed that was hard to reach by the layman's eyes, but Haikal was able to see all of that without any difficulty and react.

Haikal took half a step and tilted his body to let the magic balls fly through it, then hit the stadium wall and caused a big enough explosion to shake the arena.

"What's? What's going on?"

"Haikal's body position suddenly changed and was accompanied by an explosion on the stadium wall.... An invisible attack?"

"Did Jack just attack?"

The eyes of the audience glared wide watching what had just happened, not a single layman was able to digest the incident just now. They can't see Jack's attack clearly, but for Blazers and people with sharp eyesight can catch Jack and Haikal's lightning movements even if not completely.

In his room Veindal's forehead shriveled violently at the events in the arena, he was able to see everything but the middle-aged man couldn't believe his vision, "These young people's speed can be that high?"

Veindal can understand if Jack and Haikal are Advance or Expert level Blazers up, but in fact these two young men are able to move at that speed. He can understand Jack who is able to shoot magic at high speed, but Haikal?

"The speed of his reflexes was too terrifying for a first-rate Blazer candidate without any fighting experience," Veindal muttered unable to stop admiring Haikal from afar.

In a special room, the Guild representatives also had a frenzy to see the reaction of Haikal that did not make sense, even though Haikal was only a candidate for Blazer first class, especially because he came from a mediocre family.

He did train quite often with Haikal before the start of the tournament, but he had never seen the speed of Haikal that was currently shown so Salvia was quite surprised to find out.

"Oh, can you avoid that?" Next to Jack's eyebrows raised in response to Haikal's impressive speed and reflexes, "I remember you weren't this fast in previous games."

"Ah, you mean last month's game, don't you?" Haikal smiled cynically in reply to Jack. He lowered his waist, "My training won't wait for me to relax for another month."

Haikal kicked the floor and darted quickly towards where Jack was standing at an unthinkable speed, then levitated a kick towards Jack's chin, but unfortunately the blonde young man can react and pull his neck back before being hit by a kick.

Jack immediately took a big step back intending to keep his distance, but Haikal did not let go that easily. Haikal once again kicked the ground and this time he deployed a flying kick.

"Fast fast!" Jack screamed in his heart unable to see Haikal's movements entirely, he immediately crossed his arms in front of his chest to survive as he could remember both Haikal and himself were still floating in the air.

As a result Jack could only surrender to receive a flying kick Haikal, making him crash far into the stadium wall and create a crack the size of his body there, then fell to the floor.

"Ugh!" Jack could not help but groan in pain, he even spewed out a speck of red blood from his lips that managed to make the spectators swerve violently.

"Jack's hurt?!"

"It wasn't Haikal, it was Jack who was hit by the first attack?!"

"It's...."

All startled by the figure of the young man who since the beginning of the tournament had never been seen injured at all, now their attention was turned to Haikal who was standing upright in the middle of the arena as if nothing had happened.

"Is that all you're capable of, Jack Calvin?" Haikal raised his voice so loud that it sounded to the end of the arena.

Jack smiled slightly as he stood up, he rubbed the blood on his lips before replying, "It seems that I still underestimated the person with the nickname Arcless Blazer."

He patted his clothes dusting for a moment still smiling at Haikal, "Sorry, I'm showing you a sad sight."

"No problem, as long as you intend to be serious from now on," said Haikal did not smile as well as Jack, he actually formed his fighting horses.

Jack sighed before doing some warm-up moves such as stretching his fingers and arms, making Haikal and the audience raise their eyebrows.

"Well, if that's what you want."

After he finished warming up, Jack's expression immediately changed so drastically. There was not a friendly smile like the usual one on his face, even the look in his eyes did not show the slightest hospitality.

Jack's soul energy pressure also increased to a level almost impossible to achieve by Blazer candidates his age. The golden bright green aura emanating violently from his body managed to invite admiration as well as fear from the audience.

"A terrible soul energy pressure...." Haikal spontaneously gulped down feeling Jack's absurd soul energy pressure in close proximity, but a small smile fell on his lips.
