Absolute Soul

Absolute Soul
71. Final Match II

Feeling like he did not want to lose, Haikal also increased the pressure of his soul energy until it approached Jack's. Haikal's distinctive blackish-red aura emanating from his body can be seen faintly, even by ordinary people.

The aura as well as the pressure of the soul energy both clashed violently against each other regardless of distance, resulting in most of the spectators losing consciousness. Only Blazers, Blazers, and trained laymen could withstand the impact of these two waves.

The teachers and Guild representatives in their respective rooms were goosebumps for a moment when Jack and Haikal's auras collided, Veindal glared fiercely at the two youths in the arena not believing the power that the two had unleashed.

On the edge of the arena itself, Salvia could feel directly exposed to the aura and pressure of Haikal and Jack's soul energy up close like a small whirlwind. Scrolls of sweat started flowing down his face unable to take his eyes off the arena.

"This... Haikal's power?" Salvia could not cover up her shock, she held both of her arms spontaneously in shock.

It was not comparable to him when deploying Awakening combined with the concentration of soul energy, but Salvia could not believe Haikal's strength could develop to this stage in just a few months of practice.

Even though the pressure of Haikal's soul energy shocked her, Salvia also did not forget the existence of Jack who was also no less terrible than Haikal and Edward in terms of aura and pressure of soul energy.

Jack did not wait any longer and launched a long-range attack in the form of a magic spear that was thrown, this time faster than before. Haikal could still see Jack's attack path and avoid it, but he could not dodge it completely.

Jack's magic spear managed to scratch his clothes on the left abdomen, Haikal clucked slowly to find the attack.

Jack did not care much about Haikal's reaction, he then launched another spear attack with more numbers until it reached dozens, but his speed became a little slower.

Haikal knew with this amount there was no way he could avoid all of Jack's attacks, so he gathered a certain amount of soul energy on both of his arms and formed a pair of slightly translucent red gloves using a change in soul energy form.

"Huh!" Haikal pushed both his hands at once forward exerting two Air Smashes at once creating a violent air rage that caused some of Jack's magic spears to miss, but some were still aimed at him.

Haikal clucked softly before playing his hand fending off all of the spears. It is not perfect, but Haikal can change the direction of the spears to be stuck on the floor.

Jack frowned at Haikal's actions which not only reacted, but also avoided and repelled his entire attack, "You are indeed great, Haikal."

"But, how about this?" Jack raised his right arm upwards once again creating many magic spears at once, yet this time the number reached tens maybe even close to a hundred.

Haikal was wide-eyed at the inhuman number, but before Haikal was done amazed Jack had released dozens of spears towards Haikal, successfully making the young man surprised.

Haikal moved to and fro as quickly as possible avoiding the rain of spears, unfortunately he could not estimate all the directions of the spears so many in number. Some of the spears managed to incise wounds on Haikal's body.

"If this continues me who finished first," Haikal's mind whose breath began to be irregular, even though the match only lasted a few moments. He dodged the entire spear while fending it off as much as possible.

It took some time until the rain of spears was completely finished, Jack rubbed his chin looking at Haikal with admiration could escape his attack on this one without suffering any serious injuries.

"You're great, Haikal." Jack smiled slightly looking at just the scratches on Haikal's body, "There has never been anyone who has managed to avoid my Magic Javelin Rainfall other than you."

"really? I was honored to be first," Haikal replied wiping the sweat on his forehead while smiling as widely as possible, trying to cover up his slightly chaotic rhythm of breathing after dodging all of Jack's spears. The little translucent red gloves however faded and eventually disappeared from exhaustion.

It is true that Haikal has gone through hard training that is unimaginable by anyone until his entire body is strengthened in various meanings, of course, including his stamina also increased considerably. Unfortunately Jack's attack was not something that could be underestimated.

In addition to the number that is almost impossible to find at the same level, Jack's attack speed is also much higher than all opponents Haikal so far. It was impossible for Haikal to be able to avoid all of them with just his physical ability alone, he used up quite a lot of soul energy in such a short amount of time.

"The level is indeed different from the previous one," Jack's mind felt difficulty, but his lips began to develop another small smile, "Verna's little friend is different."

Haikal who saw the smile all over his body suddenly goosebumps for a moment, either involuntarily feeling fear towards Jack or the pressure of Jack's soul energy which once again increased considerably.

"You're strong, Haikal," said Jack before his body began to float above the ground, slowly rising higher and higher with a wild wind as if raging around the arena, "That's why I want to find out if you can withstand one of my strongest magic or not."

Haikal's eyes widened to see Jack able to float without the help of wind magic like Verna, but Jack's subsequent actions succeeded in making him so stunned.

Jack raised his right hand high while pointing to the sky, then at the tip of the index finger was seen a round green-golden soul energy vortex gathered there, it slowly grew to the point of being able to envelop the entire arena field with its shadow.

"It's...." Veindal was speechless looking at the size of the gigantic soul energy vortex. It was true that as a Cardinal-level Blazer he could even create a similar soul energy ball of a larger size, but seeing that the user was a first-rate Blazer candidate he could not help his shock.

Not only Veindal, the academy's teachers, even the Guild representatives were stunned to see the magic Jack had deployed.

"School head! Shouldn't this be stopped immediately?!" One of the teachers exclaimed loudly to Veindal suggesting the match should be stopped, he argued that a technique as high as this was no longer as level as the Blazer candidate.

The other teachers then realized thanks to the teacher's call, then asked Veindal the same thing. The middle-aged man was now faced with a dilemma, on the one hand he was obliged to stop the match if there was a life-threatening attack as the Headmaster of Skymaze Academy, on the other hand, but on the other hand Veindal wanted to see how Haikal handled this crisis.

Haikal himself could not move looking at the size of the gigantic soul energy vortex in the sky, subconsciously taking a step back feeling intimidated by his gigantic size.

As Haikal began to feel hesitant and confused about what to do, his gaze was moved by a beautiful silver-haired girl on the edge of the arena who was clenching her hands as hard as she could see herself. Salvia's eyes were filled with worry.

The sight of Salvia's cry earlier flashed like a short film in Haikal's mind, reminding him of his reason for practicing desperately to be able to stand in the final round of one of these prestigious tournaments.

Haikal closed his eyes concentrating a large amount of his soul energy on the right fist, "If this is how I'm afraid, how can I deal with Verg out there?"

As Haikal's blackish-red aura became more concentrated and painful, the pressure of his soul energy also increased drastically. It is not to match the level of Jack at the moment, but it exceeds when fighting Edward.

"Okay, I'm ready." Haikal opened his eyes. At first glance his view looks empty and unfocused, but the opposite happens, Haikal's concentration level reaches its highest point now.

Jack who saw that gulped his saliva spontaneously, "A terrible concentration."

"Then accept this!" Not wanting to delay any longer, Jack threw his golden green soul energy vortex at Haikal, "Gaia's Maelstrom!"

The vortex quickly shot towards Haikal. Not as fast as the previous Magic Javelin Rainfall, but still relatively fast.

Haikal remained silent in place waiting for the vortex to come to him, causing the tension of the audience who were still conscious to rise so rapidly, even some to scream hysterically warning Haikal.

Despite being commemorated by the audience, Haikal did not call out their cries and remained focused on waiting for the right time, until finally Haikal pushed his fist with all his might towards Jack's Gaia's Maelstrom at the right time while exclaiming loudly, "Void Breaker!"

The moment Haikal's fist hit Gaila's Maelstrom's vortex, the clash between the two techniques was inevitable and created the biggest explosion throughout the successful Welcoming Tournament that shook the entire Skymaze Academy territory from one end to the other.
