Absolute Soul
83. Lightning vs Wind

The battle throughout Adele was still ongoing, both facing the onslaught of Blackouts and the Verg swarm that was somehow able to break through the city barrier. Almost the entire city was hit.

Thanks to that Adele had suffered absolutely no small amount of damage, almost a third of the city area had been destroyed by the Blackout and Verg members. Most of it was accepted by the Skymaze Academy's territory, then most of the damage of the Skymaze Academy was due to the two-man fight.

"Hahaha, I haven't had this much fun in a long time, Master Veindal!" A man in his 20s laughed after several attacks with Veindal. He floated about ten meters above ground level.

Veindal himself clucked irritatedly as he looked at the man moving to and fro as he pleased in the air, he then raised his hand and shot out a speck of blue lightning towards the man, but somehow the lightning always disappears when it hits the slightly visible barrier around the target.

"Hehehe, great is not my style? This is a technique I dedicate specifically to dealing with a Wizard-type Blazer like you, Master Veindal." The man giggled to see Veindal's visage, which looked frustrated, not succeeding in nudging the attack.

Veindal clicked his tongue irritated but could do nothing, "What exactly do you want to come and ruffle the city, Charles?"

"The teacher is very evil, even though I am here waiting for this reunion," said the man who was called Charles with a cry, making Veindal more emotional.

Veindal held his hands close in front of his chest for a moment concentrating a certain amount of soul energy in the middle to create a thread of blue lightning like an elastic rope. The lightning struck Charles, "Blitzkrieg!"

Unfortunately despite being attacked by the high-powered style of a Cardinal-level Blazer like Veindal, Charles still looks fine behind his slightly invisible protector. He shook his head softly in disappointment, "Teacher, are you that old you not able to learn from the attacks already?"

Veindal frowned unexpectedly one of his powerful attacks, the Blitzkrieg, could not even sheathe a single scratch. He was one of the Cardinal Blazers who could be counted with his fingers all over Wulodhasia.

Charles sighed seeing Veindal's reaction which seemed far beyond his expectations. He then raised his hand towards Veindal with a lazy expression, "If the teacher can't give a more intense fight what can be done, maybe I'm the one who grew up to be too strong."

"Leo Boreas," Charles murmured softly as he gathered some wind until it was visible to the naked eye taking the form of a complete lion face and sharp fangs, "Goodbye, Master Veindal."

Charles then released the vortex shaped lion face towards Veindal at high speed, as if a whirlwind of small size and lion.

Blaarr!!

A sizable explosion was created from Charles' attack, causing severe damage to the arena grounds. If not for his strength being held in such a way as to keep his comrades from being injured too much then the arena could be damaged even more severely.

"You really developed into a great man, Charles." A silvery-white-haired middle-aged man stood firmly in the middle of the field, as if unmoved from his spot after receiving Charles' attack.

True, the figure of the middle-aged man was none other than Veindal Volksky. He looked slightly different with a whitish blue armor enveloping his entire body.

"Ah, is the teacher alive?" Charles raised his eyebrows but not feeling surprised, he smiled slightly in response, "Good, if the teacher were to lose instantly with just one strike of mine it would only embarrass your Warlord of White Lightning name."

Veindal sighed softly in response to Charles' words before releasing even more formidable soul energy pressure, "Don't underestimate the old generation, you arrogant brat." A bright blue aura was created around his body along with a number of flashes of lightning striking the surroundings.

"Well, that's scary." Charles hugged himself and acted as if he was afraid of Veindal but in fact he did not, he smiled broadly before flicking his fingers. Instantly also dozens of wind spears were created around him, "Tornado Spear."

Veindal only needed to take a few steps to dodge, but his steps did not look humane at all. He was able to dodge all of Charles' attacks perfectly, his movements so fast that if ordinary people saw him he would probably think Veindal had some kind of teleportation technique.

"Heh, so it was Master Veindal's Blitzwalk that was rumored to be able to dodge all attacks." Charles clucked in awe as he clapped his hands watching Veindal's footsteps that he could not follow at all.

After the rain of dozens of Tornado Spear Charles subsided, now Veindal's turn to attack. He created a dense lightning bolt in his right hand shaped like a spear but shorter, "Blitzbolt!"

Veindal immediately threw his lightning short spear towards Charles quickly, but unfortunately as before, Veindal's lightning would only disappear once collided with Charles's little visible protector.

"The shield is a pain" Veindal complained, unable to resist his anger at Charles' protector. Never crossed his mind Charles had a style that was even able to counteract the strength of a Cardinal Blazer like him.

"Come on, Master Veindal, take me even more seriously." Contrary to Veindal's reverse, Charles laughed loudly at Veindal's difficulty facing him, "Isn't this not just the strength of the famous Warlord of White Lightning?"

Veindal was eager to retaliate and scold Charles who seemed so dismissive, but he had no right to say anything considering he himself could not hurt or penetrate Charles' protector.

Veindal thought for a moment to analyze Charles' troublesome protector, if he could not get rid of it then it could be that he would lose out on soul energy.

Charles could see that Veindal was analyzing his patron, he did not remain silent and let the middle-aged man think. Charles created four small whirlwinds that danced in his palms.

"You're analyzing my protection, aren't you, Master Veindal?" Charles threw the four small whirlwinds in his hand that were slowly growing bigger until it reached the size of the whirlwind towards Veindal, "Try this analysis! Tornado Party!"

The four whirlwinds revolved around Veindal and destroyed the arena grounds even more severely, perhaps already unworthy of being called the arena field seeing the damage it received.

Veindal was not visibly disturbed by the four whirlwinds that Charles threw, he then created four smaller Blitzbolt-like spears and threw them over each one, "Blitzpulse."

The four Blitzpulse Veindal spears lowered a bolt of lightning right at the center of Charles's whirlwind, instantly destroying all four vortexes in an instant.

Charles was a little surprised to see the four massive attacks that could destroy an uninhabited territory that Veindal could easily handle, "Hmm, this is the true power of the Blazer Cardinal, yes."

"The true strength of the Cardinal Blazer?" Veindal reacted to Charles with a meaningful smile, leaving Charles frowning and not understanding the meaning of the smile on Veindal's lips.

"You're still hiding your strength, Master Veindal?" Charles asked feeling curious and surprised, even though until now Veindal was still unable to penetrate the protector let alone injure him even though he had repeatedly launched powerful attacks.

Veindal laughed for a moment in response to Charles's question to make the man with a little beard on his chin inedible with emotion, but he had not had time to vent his emotions, Veindal's figure had disappeared from his sight.

Spontaneous Charles turned to and fro looking for Veindal, but a split second later the middle-aged man's voice rang out from behind him, "Who's looking?"

Charles reflexively wanted to look back but before he managed to move a single finger, Veindal floated a powerful kick through Charles' protector, throwing Charles and his protector fell onto the arena field so hard that it caused a small shock to the entire arena.
