Absolute Soul

Absolute Soul
72. Final Match III

The shock caused by the explosion from the impact between Jack's Gaia's Maelstrom and Haikal's Void Breaker felt so big that some items hanging on the arena wall fell. If not for the Skymaze Academy holding a Welcome Tournament, perhaps everyone around thought there was an earthquake.

Thanks to the collision of the two moves as well, the arena is currently filled with dust flying away from everyone's view from outside the arena's field protector.

"It's unbelievable...." The host was dripping with cold sweat in response to what his eyes were showing. As far as he was the host of this year's tournament, he had never felt this kind of explosion and tremor, even the explosion from the previous clashes between Verna and Salvia still lost far.

All the spectators who were still aware and watching the game looked at the arena field with tension, between wondering what really happened or who survived such a big explosion.

Even if these conscious laymen weren't Blazers, they knew that the level of the explosion just now wasn't something the Blazer candidates could do, let alone still be first class.

"Has Jack gone crazy using such a gruesome move in a tournament of this level?!" One of the teachers strongly condemned Jack's actions which were considered too excessive. He argued that if not for the arena's protective field created from the soul energy of the Expert level Blazers then the entire arena could have been destroyed and killed many people.

There are no teachers who oppose the opinion of the teacher, all agree to see the power destroyed Jack's style just now. Veindal herself had the same opinion as them but chose silence while biting her lips.

Veindal had almost made his move and stopped the fight just before Jack threw his giant soul energy vortex, but his urge to know Haikal's precautions left him speechless, though he knows Gaia's Maelstrom belongs to Jack is not the level of another Blazer candidate seen at a glance.

Veindal took a deep breath trying to calm himself down, "It's my fault I didn't stop this from happening." He then poured his body back into the seat while sighing so heavily, feeling regret inedible by his selfish impulse.

The teachers who heard Veindal's words raised eyebrows but dared not speak. None of them felt entitled to blame Veindal even though they themselves did not even move from their place.

When everything was still covered in dust, Salvia on the edge of the arena could only glare fiercely at the scene that had just happened. He could see the devastating power of Jack's attack just now was not at all his level.

"Haikal's.... Haikal!!" Salvia screamed hysterically awakened from her admiration for Jack. He instantly remembered Haikal who was currently fighting Jack. He immediately got out of his chair intending to approach the arena field but was successfully detained by medics who were beside him.

Salvia could understand that Haikal's body had been tempered by inhumane training all along and had gained a stronger body than the average Blazer of her age, but no matter how physically strong Salvia felt Haikal would not be able to survive this one attack.

Sure enough, some time passed the dust that blocked the view began to thin and showed the condition of the arena which is now more acceptable if called ruins. Thanks to the big explosion just now the arena field can no longer maintain its form.

As the dust began to disappear in the middle of the field, a male figure stood firmly there as if nothing had happened. Blond hair is striking, handsome face, as well as a distinctive golden green aura.

"That's Jack! Jack Calvin!" The host exclaimed in disbelief, "He stood so quietly without suffering a single injury—no, I didn't even see a single speck of dust clinging to his clothes!"

The call of the host caused the tension of the audience to spike drastically. Some of those who were Jack supporters shouted loudly to complain about Jack's name, while Haikal supporters felt weak because they did not see Haikal in any corner of the field.

"Huh, as powerful as any Blazer without Soul Arc is indeed this is the result."

"A loser who can't awaken the Soul Arc can't win against a real Blazer."

Some onlookers began to mock Haikal one after another looking at the condition of the arena field that was so severe. As strong as Haikal if hit by a powerful attack destroyed as big as Gaia's Maelstrom then it is not impossible his body has been torn into dust, that's what they think.

In addition to the condition of the arena field that suffered total destruction, Jack also did not experience the slightest injury even dust did not stick to his clothes. It shows how strong Jack really is.

"No... It can't be...." Salvia could not hold back her tears as she could not find Haikal anywhere, only Jack in the middle of the field as far as her eyes could see.

Salvia fell to her knees on the floor limply not believing what had happened, "This is impossible.... Haikal...."

Salvia's reaction is not to be surprised considering that some time later he has begun to be familiar with Haikal.

Salvia had never interacted for so long with anyone other than Haikal given her insensitivity to the surroundings and made her shunned by others, even by her own father's acquaintances. Haikal was the first to leave him but his father, Veindal.

Haikal is also the one who pulled him out of the hell of loneliness, Haikal is also the one who accepts himself as he is other than Veindal, Haikal is also the one who can spur his heartbeat so fast when his eyes meet, Haikal was the one who gave him warmth after a long time his heart froze in loneliness.

Losing a figure like Haikal was obviously a hard blow for him.

"I have no time to thank you after being rescued from Edward's attack." Salvia's tears flowed more and more when she recalled the incident where she almost lost her life at the hands of Edward.

Seeing the cheers of excitement and the dark grey aura of the attendees mixed in one place at the same time, the slightly bewildered host had to rejoice over Jack's victory or not, given how severe the field conditions chances of Haikal surviving are very few.

On the arena field himself, Jack smiled faintly in response to all the cheers and gloomy aura of the audience in the arena before finally laughing so loudly, inviting the anger of the Haikal supporters. Salvia looked at Jack with a look of anger.

Jack had just launched a powerful attack that could defeat Haikal in a single strike, perhaps even lacerating his body to dust at the same time, but no sense of regret or guilt shown by him makes many parties wonder.

"It's funny how these people are, they can be fooled by little tricks like this." Jack stopped his laughter after saying so, he then pointed to one side of the arena field that was still covered with dust, "Had been satisfied playing hide and seek, Haikal?"

Right after Jack finished his words, all the attention was focused towards Jack's designated location. At first glance, only a bunch of dust was flying around there, but after further attention everyone could see the silhouette of a human-shaped shadow there.

"Well, whereas I still want to recover my soul energy more," the silhouette retorted. He then shook his hands and expelled all the dust that was still blocking him, revealing a black-haired young man who smiled wryly, "If it had been discovered what it could do."

All the eyes that saw the young man's figure were wide open, not believing their vision, especially Salvia who at once also stopped crying and a wide-eyed smile on her lips then exclaimed, "Haikal!"

True, the owner of the shadow silhouette is the figure of Blazer without Soul Arc who is famous throughout Adele, Haikal Aldra.
