Today was the first day of the Blazer academy in Adele city, Skymaze academy opened a new semester for the students who had qualified in entering the academy examination. The fallen pink leaves of the cherry trees adorned the bridge towards the Skymaze academy.
At this hour each class has completed the first guardianship hour of the semester and gathers in the hall to listen to the principal's speech first.
The speech of the headmaster was quite boring, as a result of which many students were sleepy and almost asleep, and there was even snoring on the stool. Not only the students, the teachers present in the hall also joined in peering because of the speech that had lasted more than two hours.
"In the end I, Veindal Volksky, as the principal of the Skymaze academy the advanced division declared that the new semester was beginning!" Veindal cried out loudly making the sleepy students and teachers hang up instantly.
The end of the speech was met by applause from the audience who followed Veindal down from the hall podium. Shortly after, the students were left to go to their respective classes, except for the new students. They had to stay in place because there was an announcement for them.
Veindal went up to the podium of the hall once again and gave them some explanation, "This lesson for you guys this early week is just a theory, while the new practice will take place next week after understanding your soul power. Understood?"
The compact answer heard from the entire new disciples made Veindal smile in satisfaction hearing the spirit of this new generation of Skymaze academy.
"Later noon after all the lessons are finished, you new students do not go home first because there will be a soul examination that can detect the potential of your soul in each class," clearly Veindal before closing his announcement with the typical jargon of Skymaze academy.
"Our souls..."
"Our power!" The exclaims of the disciples completed the jargon typical of the famous Skymaze academy before disbanding towards their respective classes.
Haikal Aldra, a young man who became one of the new students in the Skymaze academy was walking with the flow of these new disciples. Black hair and eyes, normal body is not too high and not too short, not so striking appearance in the eyes of people.
Just like other new students, Haikal also walked to his new class on the second floor of the first-class building, class 1-A.
Arriving at his new class, Haikal immediately sat on his stool with his bag looking around him. He can see the students of his class enter one by one through two doors in the front and back of the class.
"Yo Haikal," said one of the reddish-black-haired male disciples sitting on the bench in front of him.
"Heru, are you in this class?" Haikal looked surprised by the presence of Heru who sat on the bench in front of him.
"What the fuck? Why just realize now?" A disappointed expression appeared on Heru's face.
"I'm sorry, there are so many good diamonds here" Haikal glanced at some girls in his class who were followed by Heru.
Heru smiled happily seeing the girls in his class quite attract the attention of men, while Haikal just threw a wry smile at Heru when he saw the reaction of his best friend.
"I didn't think you'd still be glancing at another girl when you already had Verna." Haikal snorted annoyedly knowing that Heru's habit had not disappeared, even though he already had someone special in his heart.
"You didn't pull what you said?" Haikal raised his eyebrows hearing Heru's reasoning.
"Of course not, why?" This time it was Heru's turn to raise his eyebrows.
Haikal put both his hands on the table, then placed his chin on top of both his hands and looked at Heru with a serious expression.
"I'm curious, what if Verna hears this conversation of ours, huh?"
Heru's countenance changed when Haikal offended Verna once more. He turned around to make sure the person in question did not exist, then sighed not to find Verna in their class.
He then elbowed Haikal's arm with a slight annoyance, "Awas you said it to Verna!"
Haikal chuckled, seeing Heru immediately retreat when he mentioned Verna's name when talking about the girl. He knows that Heru is a man who has difficulty turning his eyes away from beautiful girls, but Heru is still afraid of a figure named Verna who is none other than the lover of this reddish-black-haired young man.
Right, Verna who was spoken of by them since earlier was also one of the new disciples of the Skymaze academy. Therefore Heru looked a little frightened when he saw the serious expression that Haikal had shown just a moment ago.
"Just talk about me and Verna, what about yourself? Aren't you interested in a romantic relationship between a man and a woman?" Heru switched the conversation not to discuss Verna any further.
Haikal glanced around him several times in silence before replying, "I'm not so interested in the relationship right now anyway. After all, my current goal is to awaken my Soul Arc and become a Blazer."
Blazer is the name for a human who managed to awaken his Soul Arc and is able to fight like Blazer on the front line to protect mankind from Verg— attacks alien creatures that emerge from within the pillar of light and destroy civilization also lowers human population.
For humanity today, modern weapons decades ago were of no use in fighting Verg. Only Soul Arc and Blazer were able to effectively injure Verg, but the humans who could awaken his Soul Arc were no more than 10% of the total human population today so that the number of Blazers is not so much even though it is said to be the hope of mankind.
This is also what makes the profession as a Blazer highly respected and highly cultivated by the community.
"Currently, the one who does not enjoy his youth," Heru sank his lips dissatisfied with Haikal's reply.
"Hey, you know for yourself why I've been trying this far, right?" Haikal's eyes changed drastically, looking coldly at Heru.
"No need to be angry, right? I was just kidding, you know?" Heru became a little panicked to see Haikal's reaction which turned out to be a little scary first when he offended it.
Haikal himself snorted a huge breath from his nose giving off a slight hint of his regret. Heru did know the reason for trying to get accepted into the Skymaze academy, but he was always offended by the question when the answer was already known.
Shortly after their last conversation, Andre entered while carrying some books in his hands that were immediately put on the table, "Alright, let's start our first academic meeting with a basic knowledge of the Blazer, let's start, Soul Arc, as well as Job, okay?"
